#Sorry but I think Albus is still holding onto resentment from that day

Albus had stolen a small painting of Harry that used to hang in his office at the Ministry, and ever since, he had kept it hidden in his room so he could talk to the portrait. It was easier for him to open up to it than to his father. What Harry didn’t know was that Albus still thought about the argument they had. Harry’s harsh words, saying that sometimes he wished Albus wasn’t his son, still haunted and deeply hurt him.
One night, as Harry went about his usual routine of checking on his kids to make sure they were okay (a habit he had kept since they were babies, driven by his constant worry), he stopped by Albus’s room. He found the boy fast asleep on his bed, still in his casual clothes: jeans, socks, and the shirt he had worn all day, surrounded by the typical mess of a teenager. Albus always had a way of falling asleep just like that, wherever he landed, and it was usually either Harry or Ginny who stepped in to make him more comfortable for the night.
As Harry quietly cleaned up the mess, his eyes landed on something Albus clutched tightly against his chest. Gently, he moved to take a closer look, and that was when he saw it:
the small portrait of himself.
