2022 JGP Poland stage 2 entry #4
Junior women short program
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: okay. Screw the hesitation. I will take hesitation if it gives me spiral sequences that are longer than just a couple seconds.
Khairya Alkandari(KUW) Which is Kuwait. More diversity, yay!
Thoughts:  I may have had a little panic attack, thinking she was going to trip on the part of her costume that flew off.
Chiara Hristova(BUL)
Thoughts: when the camera zooms in and you see just how sparkly her dress is, damn!
Ayumi Shibayama(JPN)
Thoughts: I’m still trying to figure her out.
Junior women free program
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: I love all the red dresses. And I like that we’re seeing more girls from South America.
Khairya Alkandari(KUW)
Thoughts: even though it wasn’t a perfect hydroblade, I appreciate the attempt.
Chiara Hristova(BUL)
Thoughts: her step sequence. Her spiral was a little wobbly. Still really pretty position though.

Sky's the limit! (4/4)
"There are times when I truly wonder if I'm only in this class because I'm this bad at exams." I muttered, eventually having enough of Nishinoya poking my neck, and swatting him. "What?" I asked, whipping around to face him. I was studying my flashcards, but it didn't seem to be helping. "You said you liked volleyball, right?" I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. "Yes, Nishinoya, I said I like volleyball, what does that have to do with anything?" I asked, holding a flashcard. I looked down at said flashcard, and a surprised bark of laughter came out. Vexacious (Adj)- causing or tending to cause annoyance, worry, or frustration.
"Well, why don't you come watch practice more often? I'm sure Daichi wouldn't mind!" I sighed. "Sorry, Nishinoya, I don't think I have the time, I have to study harder. The principal said if I just study a bit harder, I could take some classes that could get me into college early." I need those classes. "Just one practice, come on Sora!" He asked, getting distracted from his begging. "It doesn't matter, the point is, that I have to study. As cool as you, and everyone else in this class is, I want- no, need "why can't you?" He asked, and I shook my head. "I just can't. It's unfair, and I hate it, but I can't" I sighed. "I have to get into college as soon as possible." I saw Tanaka walk in from the vending machine, holding a chocolate milk and a bag of chips. I gave him a pleading smile, and he sighed. "Which do you want?" He conceded. "Just the chocolate milk, please?" I asked, and he handed it to me, opening the bag of chips, only to promptly have two chips stolen out of the bag. "Really, Noya?" He asked, exasperated with the two of us. I felt a little guilty. "Sorry Tanaka." I apologized, at least. Noya stuck his tongue out playfully. "Are you though? Can you try to visit practice once?" He asked, and I sighed. After being friends with the boy for a while, I had learned that there are certain times when you have to agree, and other times where you ignore him. This was a time for the former. "I will try to come to practice, okay? No guarantees I'll keep coming to practice, but I will try, Happy?" Tanaka and Noya shared a smirk. "We're sure you'll keeping coming to practice, almost positive, actually. And yes, we are happy with this arrangement." Noya said, in this silly voice, that almost made me crack up. "The best deals are sealed with a kiss though..." Noya said, and I shook my head. "Nope. No way, I'm going back to studying." I said, as I heard Tanaka start laughing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I walked back into the gym, the sound of volleyballs hitting the ground bringing a sense of both nostalgia and comfort to my senses. I waved to Daichi, who grinned, as he ruffled my hair, "Hey, glad you finally decided to watch practice." I smiled. "Yeah, me too." "Sorami!!!" I heard Tanaka's voice shout. And I shook my head. "Took you long enough!" He shouted at me. I stuck my tongue out at him. "Shut your face!" I said, sitting down near the wall, and waving to a girl who looked around Daichi's age. Daichi came over and tried to ruffle my hair again, but I swatted at his hand. "Go play volleyball!" I said, smiling, as he went over to the team huddle. I watched for a while. Deciding I would not get attached. No way. This is the last time I come to practice. A pretty girl came over to me, waving. "Hi. I'm Kiyoko Shimizu, nice to meet you" She introduced, a small smile on her face. I waved back. "I'm Sorami Sawamura." I introduced. "Are you the manager?" I asked. Daichi had told me about her. So far, he had told no lies. The only thing left is that one boy he thought I'd be great friends with. The girl nodded. "Mhm. If you want to join the club and help me out a little, I wouldn't mind." She offered, smiling. I grinned. "O-oh, I'd love to, but I don't think I could." I declined, drawing on my shoes. "Thank you for the offer though" I spoke, smiling to show the girl I appreciated the offer. She nodded. "I'm sure you'd fit right in here, so if you change your mind, I'll be here" she said. I nodded, as she walked back over to the net. I looked back over to the boys, right as my brother high-fived a boy with grey-ish looking hair. The boy spotted me, and waved with a smile that made my heart started beating a little faster. I gave the boy a small smile and waved slightly dazed by the smile he gave me. "Focus, Suga!" I heard my brother called, and I shook off that feeling, blinking it off. "Nope, no attachments...." i thought, voting to fix my hair, instead of letting my eyes follow the boy. My eyes however, kept wandering over to him for the rest of practice. "Crap."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey all! Don't worry, this is not the last part, and if you liked this miniseries, I wrote some more that actually follows the events of canon, with Sorami in them. I've got the first few chapters written, so I can share the actual Fanfic if you want me to? Even if it's not fully written, I've got notes on the plot :)

Alterverse Characters #1
Taking a break from BNHA OCs to expand on my ones for other fandoms. Starting first with an original one.
Queenie Huang | Dianite: Splendor's (Joou Takarano) Alternate. Resident rich girl of the group but also an ice queen. She is of Chinese and Kenyan descent. Before finding out she was a Metahuman, she lived the dream; had a wealthy and loving family, was on the debate team, straight A student. Queenie had it all before she was attacked by The Hand and given to the Heroes Association.
Her powers include technopathy, metal mimicry, and metal manipulation.
Stormy Uchiyama | Stormrider: Stormchaser's (Sorami Inoue) Alternate. She's still not over finding out she's a Metahuman and having to be taken away from her own parents for her safety - still grieving the loss of all she held dear even with her older brother and cousins there to comfort her. She is Japanese and Rwandan mixed.
Her power is personal weather which allows her to generate her own personal weather patterns and phenomena based on her emotions.
Shawn Tanaka | Energizer: Chargeman's (Shukara Inoue) Alternate. Shawn is Japanese-American. He enjoys his new life in the Heroes Association because he gets to do as many sports as he pleases, particularly wrestling. He has a huge crush on Stormy and always makes his feelings for her known.
His powers include energy manipulation, energy mimicry, and superhuman strength.
Allen Diaz | Digger: Demoman's Alternate. Allen is Japanese and Filipino mixed. Unlike most of his colleagues, Allen is actually glad that he's away from his parents because he feels like him having powers is a curse that will bring his family nothing but pain and suffering (even though his parents are accepting of their son being a Metahuman).
His powers include earth manipulation, drilling, and jackhammer motion.
Ravi Bergstrom | Deep Chill: Jack Frost's Alternate. Ravi is of mixed Indian and Swedish descent. His older brother actually is a hero and works at the Heroes Association so he doesn't have a lot to worry about. One of Ravi's biggest dreams is to be a private investigator for all things Metahuman.
His powers are ice and water manipulation.
Joao Oliveira | Shadow Ink: InkStain's Alternate. Joao is mixed with Afro-Brazilian and Vietnamese. They're not too worried about not being with their family anymore, they know that they'll all be reunited one day. In the meantime, he writes songs and works on his guitar playing to one day form his own band. He has a huge crush on Queenie.
Their powers include sound, ink, and darkness manipulation. He also has a sonic scream.
Brandon Vega | Phantom: Hades's Alternate. He's Filipino-American. Much like Ravi, Brandon's cousins work for the Heroes Association so he really has nothing to worry about in the family department. What he is worried about, however, are his uncontrollable powers and the presence of The Hand. Not to mention that he's next in line to a Demon hunting guild.
His powers include probability manipulation, pryokinesis, telepathy, and black magic.
Rosita Choi | Nature Girl: Persephone's Alternate. She's Venezuelan and Korean. Determined to make the best of her new life and her Metahuman powers, Rosi invites the others to go on picnics and other outdoor activities with her. She has a crush on Brandon.
Her powers include plant manipulation, animal communication, and plant mimicry.
Tamira Musa | Dreamer: Sweet Dream's Alternate. She's Nigerian-American. She's become quite adjusted to her new situation and has made a few friends with the other girls. She knows that she'll be safe from harm by The Hand. Tamira seems to have caught the attention of a vigilante named Nightmare.
Her powers include dream manifestation, phasing, flight, and telekinesis.
Ages:
Queenie: 18
Stormy: 16
Shawn: 16
Allen: 18
Ravi: 17
Joao: 18
Brandon: 18
Rosita: 18
Tamira: 16

2022 JGP France entry #7
Women free program
McKayla Ong(SGP)
Thoughts: red and black is always a good color combo. And her hydroblade was pretty.
Lowenna Prigg(GBR)
Thoughts: during the step sequence, it seemed like she was running out of fuel. I didn’t think I would like this dress at first, but it grew on me.
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: so, with a name like that. I had to look at the bio. She was born in Japan. I’m glad she was able to compete for Peru. I think if she competed for Japan, she’d just get passed by for girls of a higher skill level.
Simona Bhasin(AUS)
Thoughts: her choreography took a little time to grow on me
Karina Issakova(KAZ)
Thoughts: there was a little bit of an energy spike around the bridge. But overall, I found this program hard to pay attention to.
Robyn Foster(IRL)
Thoughts: this royal blue color. I want to go back and see if this really started with a dress that Evgenia Medvedeva wore, or was it Tarasova. Because royal blue looks stunning on Tarasova also.

2022 JGP France entry #1
Women short program
Seojin Youn(KOR)
Thoughts: I like when skaters fight to keep their programs together. And of course I’m still a red dress slut. My heart broke a little to see her holding her neck after that triple lutz fall. The price we pay for shinny round things.
Lowenna Prigg(GBR)
Thoughts: I tried to let the hairstyle grow on me. I really liked her choregraphy but the hairstyle just didn’t work.
Valentina Cueva(ECU)   ECU is Ecuador. Have we had an Ecuador skater yet?!
Thoughts:  I give her major points for trying. For keeping a smile on her face. And I thought about it more. I think I have seen one male skater from Ecuador, but I don’t remember him getting very far.
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: I love to see that Peru’s number of skaters is growing. I love diversity.
Robyn Foster(IRL)
Thoughts: The first time I saw her, I think she was in a bright yellow dress. I liked bright yellow before her. But that dress was a significant reason why I ended up liking Robyn. I love the way she spells her name. This wine red color that she has going on in her SP dress, also a special color for me.
Agne Ivanovaite(LTU)
Thoughts: thanks to Aleksandra Golovkina, I have put Lithuania on a pedestal for a very long time. Agne, I love her hair buns. I love how fucking composed she is, at just 13.
Babeth Ostergard(DEN)
Thoughts: her dress is very unique. The cartwheel. I recently watched a program from Taira Shinohara where he stumbled because he tried to squeeze in a cartwheel. Cartwheels are new. It’s a lot of fuss for something that’s usually just put in the program because it looks cute.
Nella Pelkonen(FIN)
Thoughts: For a while now, as the season goes, I like to keep a running tally of how many medals each country wins, both juniors and seniors. Obviously my numbers are not gospel but that’s not the point. It started just because I like to count things. But now with the Russians gone, I keep the tally because I’m afraid that without the Russians, the US will just dominate every discipline.
Long story short. For the 2021-22 season, Finland had a lot higher medal count than usual. And here with Nella’s effort, I think Finland is trying to continue that high. Interesting.
Julia Polniuk(POL)
Thoughts: she had sass. So much sass, that I almost forgot that the botched triple loop even happened.

JGP Slovenia Women’s Free Program #5-9(Jurisic’s free was blocked)
Klara Sekardi(SLO)
Thoughts: poor thing was all exhausted and wobbly at the end, yikes
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: look at you in your cute little checkboard skirt. So fun😊
Babeth Ostergard(DEN)
Thoughts: the second half was much better than the first
Anastasia Konga(LAT)
Thoughts: the dress didn’t seem to fit the music
Rutgers VS Michigan
Natalie Wojcik Floor Michigan: pretty pretty blondie. She never disappoints
Kiera Herwitz Beam Rutgers: this dismounting off the side business is terrifying
Abby Brenner Floor Michigan: she’s different from Natalie. She’s power heavy. Not feeling it.

JGP Slovenia Women’s Short Program #29-31
Manca Krmelj(SLO)
Thoughts: I’m very picky when it comes to in your face pink. This one I liked though.
Amalia Zelenjak(EST)
Thoughts: Estonia seems to find these tiny but powerful skaters. I like it
Sorami Tanaka(PER)
Thoughts: The progress Peru has made since the season started. Very interesting. With Isadora Williams injured, maybe South America needs some new blood.
JGP Slovenia Women’s free Program #1-3
Paula Pereira(AND)
Thoughts: the contrast with the dress interesting but that’s about it
Luiza Ilie(ROM)
Thoughts: the bright red looked gorgeous on her and the haircutter wasn’t half bad either
Julia Gunnarsdottir(ISL)
Thoughts: pretty lavender color for the dress. Not so sure about the lacing in the back though.
Rutgers VS Michigan
Belle Huang Rutgers Beam: solid, long legs. Good routine all around
Nicoletta Koulos Floor Michigan: I think she’s my favorite of Michigan’s freshmen😊
Jordyn Duffield Rutgers Beam: she needed more space for that triple series. She almost went right off the edge.
