For some reason I was quite into Clairo’s last album Sling, but I can’t really remember why – and Charm isn’t reviving my enthusiasm. Certainly competently and tastefully put together, I cannot help but want a little more, or even just a slight mark of distinction, a moment that is not tepid and dull.
