I'm so. Upset about how GoT's actors have to go through with this. These wonderful actors have brought some of the best characters on television to life and to the hearts of a bunch of people, including myself, because their performances have been carrying this show for years. And now they have to do. This. Because of the writers. I hope the cast have healthy carriers after this. I sincerely hope their fame and RIGHTFULLY DESERVED popularity means they each have wonderful things in the future.

Honestly I feel most for Emilia who portrayed one of the most significant and culturally impactful female character of the last 10 yrs, which went on to become a source of strength and inspiration to so many people including herself, only to have it end like this because of a duo of mediocre white men’s abysmal writing. We’ve known for years that D&D were bad but they somehow managed to dig right beneath the bar we put literally on the ground for them and like the trash worms they are they shat out what can only amount as the absolute worst most incoherent and insulting finale a story like asoiaf could have ever had.

As for the actors, I wish them the best! I don’t really worry for Lena Heady, she’s always been a phenomenal actress (and has basically carried the tranwreck that is the King’s Landing plot through sheer talent). I do think though that the big winners here are Emilia Clarke and Sophie Turner, especially so the latter, we’ll keep seeing her in the future. As for the rest of the cast, I’m not so sure...

T-Mobile this morning officially announced its exclusive partnership with the new streaming service, Quibi, set to launch on April 6. The service will be made available for free for a year to T-Mobile customers on its unlimited wireless family plans.

The streaming service, founded by Hollywood media mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg, has been specifically built for on-the-go viewing on mobile devices. Its “shows” can be watched in 10 minutes or less and take advantage of the mobile device’s ability to be held different ways to enable seamless switching between portrait and landscape modes.

Thanks to Katzenberg’s industry connections, Quibi original content will feature A-Listers and other big names, including Jennifer Lopez, Chrissy Teigen, Chance the Rapper, Liam Hemsworth, Sophie Turner, Lena Waithe, Nicole Richie, Reese Witherspoon and others.

Typically, Quibi subscriptions are offered at $4.99 per month for its ad-supported plan or $7.99 per month for its ad-free option.

Quibi had confirmed last October that a deal with T-Mobile was in place, in statements made to various news outlets. But the details of the deal itself were not yet announced nor confirmed by T-Mobile at that time.

According to T-Mobile’s release, Magenta and ONE plans with taxes and fees included will be eligible for the free Quibi add-on, as will discounted First Responder, Military and Magenta Plus 55 plans, and small business customers with up to 12 lines.

T-Mobile customers can go to mytmobile.com now through July 7 to sign up, or they can use the T-Mobile Android or iOS app beginning on April 6 to add Quibi.

In addition, until April 3, T-Mobile customers who use the T-Mobile Tuesdays app for Android or iOS can get early access to three bonus episodes of the new Jennifer Lopez series, “Thanks a Million” when it launches on April 6. That means customers will have a total of 6 episodes to watch at launch. And on April 7, five people who enter the T-Mobile Tuesdays sweepstakes will win a free Google Pixel 4 XL.

Quibi has had to reposition its service in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak as something that works for at-home viewing. But in reality, the service had been intended to fill those empty moments in your on-the-go lifestyle — like riding the subway, standing in line, sitting in a waiting room before an appointment, and more. Now, with people stuck at home in government lockdowns and home quarantines, the minutes stretch out endlessly. There’s plenty of time to watch long-form content and the living room TV has more draw over the small phone screen. 

But ultimately, Quibi’s success may not come down to its technology, tricks, or episode length. It will come down the quality of its shows and their ability to capture an audience.

I confess that I still want to watch the Last Ship tv show and the Good Place this autumn season and catch up on some Game of Thrones when I can. As with other people, my prayers and well wishes go out to everyone affected by this shocking incident that occurred in Nevada during the Harvest Music country festival. Obviously, I do not condone whatever drove Stephen Paddock to do what he did to many innocent people yet I am surprised that one motive is not being as widely discussed; what was Stephen Paddock’s social life, love life, and overall career life like from the time he was in his 30s andor even his 20s until 64 years of age. I say this because I noticed that he chose to kill so many people when they were having fun with their friends for family, was he wishing that he could be like some of the concert goers who have abundant family members andor friends surrounding him but instead of channeling that energy to get out there and meet people like other people do, you can pretty much get the picture. Additionally, I would also see if the law enforcement officials are comfortable interviewing Paddock’s family andor even at least one or both of  his exes andor in laws again to see if he was always rich in order to see if he felt the need to do what he did to both inflict revenge andor save face as it is human nature for even some family members to keep their distance emotionally if they are concerned about you possibly needing their help financially even if temporarily andor they would freely offer their help. I would also interview the in-laws andor any coworkers andor friends he knew in his 40s andor 50s to get an idea of how his social and love life was like without shaming anyone if they happen to tell a harsh truth about him (in order to get them to feel safe to open up about any hidden motives that may not be apparent to other people who may not have gotten to know him until Paddock was in his 50s/60s when he became wealthier). I believe Paddock’s brother that they got along, but obviously there had to be some details that were hidden from even his brother as it is also human nature to sometimes withhold andor be secretive about certain things from even the most well-meaning family members.

I admit that this article pertaining to Prince George’s School Lunch menu catches my attention both because Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton seem like a happy couple in love who also care about their kids and also due to the nature of my job pertaining to food services at a university. Full of spectacle, the trailer previews a bloody fight involving the White Walkers, a race of icy, supernatural warriors that appear to form a common threat against Westeros's human factions.

With previous "Game of Thrones" seasons usually debuting April and running into June, season 7 has required fans of the show to wait a few months longer.

As the title of this second trailer indicates, wintry conditions were an integral part of the storyline, requiring a shift in production, and instead of inhabiting the customary July to December window, filming took place August 2016 to February 2017.

Episode one is to debut July 17 on HBO, with same-day or next-day broadcasts having now become the norm for carriers in international territories.

The season six finale attracted an HBO live audience of 8.89 million viewers. However, on average, more than triple that amount watched each episode through terrestrial, recorded digital, and HBO's on demand platforms, with a season six cumulative episode average reaching 25.1 million viewers, 25% on season five.

HBO confirmed in 2016 that "Game of Thrones" would finish its TV run with season 8.

Report: T-Mobile partners with Jeffrey Katzenberg’s mobile streaming service Quibi

On the heels of getting the FCC’s proposal to merge with Sprint, T-Mobile announced a plan to partner with the Jeffrey Katzenberg’s mobile streaming service, Quibi. According to statements provided to the L.A. Times, Quibi CEO Meg Whitman specifically called out T-Mobile’s “impressive 5G road map” as a good fit for the soon-to-launch streaming service.

The partnership will give T-Mobile’s 83.1 million customers access to Quibi’s premium content, but no details as to how it would be bundled into the carrier’s plans are currently available. It’s possible that Quibi will either be offered at a discount for T-Mobile users, or it could be available as an add-on or available with a special bundle deal.

The deal will present a new competitor to AT&T’s streaming services, AT&T TV Now (previously DirecTV Now) and low-cost WatchTV, as well as its upcoming premium service, HBO Max. Verizon (TechCrunch’s parent parent company) also dabbled with mobile streaming with go90, but that service was shut down last year after failing to gain adoption.

The news of the T-Mobile deal comes on the heels of a series of rapid-fire announcements about the shows and celebs who will be contributing to Quibi, which will provide a range of programming including news, lifestyle, comedy, drama, horror, reality, action and more. And all is broken up into shorter-form bits — or “quick bites,” hence the service’s name.

As for the programming, Quibi has brought in big names like Sam Raimi, Guillermo del Toro, Antoine Fuqua and producer Jason Blum, Liam Hemsworth, Lorne Michaels, Steven Speilberg, Tyra Banks, Idris Elba, Trevor Noah, Queen Latifah, Sophie Turner, and others.

“Quibi will deliver premium video content for millennials on a technology platform that is built exclusively for mobile, so a telecommunications partner like T-Mobile, with their broad coverage today and impressive 5G road map, is the perfect fit,” Quibi Chief Executive Meg Whitman said in a statement, run by the L.A. Times.

“Quibi is leading the way on how video content is made and experienced in a mobile-first world,” said Mike Sievert, president and chief operating officer of T-Mobile. “That’s why our partnership makes perfect sense — two mobile-centric disrupters coming together to give customers something new and remarkable.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
