Lance “You had the chance to be the most powerful Mobian in the land. And you threw it away? Why?”

Sonic “Being king to too boring! I trust that the others can lead Camelot in my absence. I’m the Knight of the Wind Lance, and the winds telling me to run!”

Lance “I will never understand you my lord.”

Sonic “But you’ll follow me?”

Lance “To the ends of the earth.”

This is just the basic sketch right now, but uh…

I got back into the Sonic Fandom again. And this time I can actually draw Mobians sorta.

But I was reminded of my very first Fanfic on Ao3, Forgotten Chivalry. And I remembered the plot! So I started reworking it, one thing lead to another and now here I am, rewriting and planning to complete Forgotten Chivalry and drawing a book cover to solidify that.

Here’s hoping I manage to write it!

Knight of Chaos AU

This is kind of like a swapped AU of Sonic And The Black Knight. Shadow went through the whole “wake up, remember Maria promise being revenge, remembering his promise was to give them a change, fix his promise, fall to the Earth, get saved by Rogue, and become closer with Rouge and befriend Omega via adventure” thing without Sonic ever bring real.

However, as Mephilis (did I spell that right) warned, G.U.N. eventually turned on Shadow and Omega was reprogrammed to hunt him down. Shadow managed to escape by using the chaos emeralds combined with his own power to create a portal to a planet on the far side of the universe; Mobius. Rogue came along at first, but then they decided that she would sneak onto Earth to get their friend back years later. By then, Shadow had already adopted Galahad and started a job as a knight to sort of blend in.

Rogue is currently working on fixing Omega’s programming from Earth while doing her best to stay hidden, and Shadow is working on both his new job as a knight and being the best dad he can be. Shadow goes by the name “Lancelot“ and lives far from the kingdom of Camelot, though it’s the closest kingdom.

Uh, any questions? I’m honestly feeling a bit shaky about this AU since I have another storyline that would also suit the title, and there are a few holes. But I’d love to answer some questions.

It is done!

Forgotten Chivalry was my first ever Sonic Fanfiction, and until Hade Furnace, it was the only book I posted. I didn’t have a set chapter length initially, and I was mostly flying by the seat of my pants so I didn’t really know what I was doing. I knew the direction I wanted to take it but not the way to get there and I was posting as soon as I was done with it. This time for the rewrite I’m giving myself a bit of a buffer, and I have also written out my plan.

I’ve now got a concrete plot from beginning to end, and the major plot points mapped out. I'm going to hold off on posting the rewritten prologue for now until I have a few more chapters done, just to make sure I've got something to post.

A few design aspects I will point out though:

Knuckle's many band's and marking's is special to him, no other echidna had that number of marking's and there is a lore reason to this.

Sonic facing away from the audience is also intentional, and something I ruminated on for a good three hours in the sketching phase, I was trying to decide between him facing the front with his head bowed or facing away with his head held high. I ended up flipping a coin. Truthfully I needed a fully facing/completely facing away view purely because otherwise it would have been off kilter but there's a fun plot reason too. A lot of the mystery of the story surround's Sonic and what he's going through from an outsider's perspective so it was a fun nod to that.

Shadow's eye colour was also an intentional deviation. His eyes are more reddish/yellow in the sclera as a nod towards his blood ties to the Black Arm's.

Silver has white marking's! They're barely noticeable unless you're looking for them but they're there. They gave Shadow a lot of strife when he first met the grey hedgehog

I'm really excited to start posting Forgotten Chivalry again, and since my art style has improved enough I can deliver more fanart of it as I post the chapters!
