It is done!

Forgotten Chivalry was my first ever Sonic Fanfiction, and until Hade Furnace, it was the only book I posted. I didn’t have a set chapter length initially, and I was mostly flying by the seat of my pants so I didn’t really know what I was doing. I knew the direction I wanted to take it but not the way to get there and I was posting as soon as I was done with it. This time for the rewrite I’m giving myself a bit of a buffer, and I have also written out my plan.

I’ve now got a concrete plot from beginning to end, and the major plot points mapped out. I'm going to hold off on posting the rewritten prologue for now until I have a few more chapters done, just to make sure I've got something to post.

A few design aspects I will point out though:

Knuckle's many band's and marking's is special to him, no other echidna had that number of marking's and there is a lore reason to this.

Sonic facing away from the audience is also intentional, and something I ruminated on for a good three hours in the sketching phase, I was trying to decide between him facing the front with his head bowed or facing away with his head held high. I ended up flipping a coin. Truthfully I needed a fully facing/completely facing away view purely because otherwise it would have been off kilter but there's a fun plot reason too. A lot of the mystery of the story surround's Sonic and what he's going through from an outsider's perspective so it was a fun nod to that.

Shadow's eye colour was also an intentional deviation. His eyes are more reddish/yellow in the sclera as a nod towards his blood ties to the Black Arm's.

Silver has white marking's! They're barely noticeable unless you're looking for them but they're there. They gave Shadow a lot of strife when he first met the grey hedgehog

I'm really excited to start posting Forgotten Chivalry again, and since my art style has improved enough I can deliver more fanart of it as I post the chapters!

Knight of Chaos AU

This is kind of like a swapped AU of Sonic And The Black Knight. Shadow went through the whole “wake up, remember Maria promise being revenge, remembering his promise was to give them a change, fix his promise, fall to the Earth, get saved by Rogue, and become closer with Rouge and befriend Omega via adventure” thing without Sonic ever bring real.

However, as Mephilis (did I spell that right) warned, G.U.N. eventually turned on Shadow and Omega was reprogrammed to hunt him down. Shadow managed to escape by using the chaos emeralds combined with his own power to create a portal to a planet on the far side of the universe; Mobius. Rogue came along at first, but then they decided that she would sneak onto Earth to get their friend back years later. By then, Shadow had already adopted Galahad and started a job as a knight to sort of blend in.

Rogue is currently working on fixing Omega’s programming from Earth while doing her best to stay hidden, and Shadow is working on both his new job as a knight and being the best dad he can be. Shadow goes by the name “Lancelot“ and lives far from the kingdom of Camelot, though it’s the closest kingdom.

Uh, any questions? I’m honestly feeling a bit shaky about this AU since I have another storyline that would also suit the title, and there are a few holes. But I’d love to answer some questions.

i once overheard a conversation my mother was having with my grandmother. i mostly heard "spaghetti" and "round table" and now we're here.

A Sonic and the Black Knight version of Stellar—Lady Archfedd, daughter of King Arthur!

Some lore:

Came to be when King Arthur and Sir Lancelot unknowingly laid together upon a fairy mound, resulting in the fey gifting (or perhaps cursing) the King with a changeling child. Despite Lancelot's protests, Arthur accepted the infant as his heir.

Lancelot is half fey himself in this AU, and thus has a wide knowledge of fey culture and behavior (the fairies in this AU look a lot like Black Arms aliens from canon).

Despite his initial reservations, Lancelot does eventually grow to see Archfedd as his daughter.

Due to Arthur and Lancelot's relationship being secret, in public Archfedd is simply known as the King's daughter.

Archfedd learns of her fey heritage in her teens.

A skilled swordswoman, her fighting style is like that of a dancer, slashing out with twin blades.

Her swords are dubbed Efeilliaid Eira—the Snow Twins. Said to almost shine blue in the midst of combat.

Being of fey heritage, her armor had to be specially crafted as to not harm her. Pure, precious metals such as gold, silver, and cold iron all burn her skin.

Despite being trained in combat by each of the knights of the round table, it is rare she actually gets to fight alongside them.

Scene idea:

[Lance kneels with a sword in his hands, offering it to be killed with it, giving his life to the king. But Arthur stops him, he can't kill such a beautiful creature, he can't harm his favourite knight.]

Detail: Arthur's armour is not shiny/more off-white as I drew it before, because at this point, he is going against the rules of his kingdom by letting Lancelot (a half-dragon) live.

This is just the basic sketch right now, but uh…

I got back into the Sonic Fandom again. And this time I can actually draw Mobians sorta.

But I was reminded of my very first Fanfic on Ao3, Forgotten Chivalry. And I remembered the plot! So I started reworking it, one thing lead to another and now here I am, rewriting and planning to complete Forgotten Chivalry and drawing a book cover to solidify that.

Here’s hoping I manage to write it!

Battle of Camlann

-A final confrontation-

“Okay, little mage, I think it’s time for bed.” Lancelot said as he picked his son up. Galahad made no effort to argue or fight back as long as he got to be carried back.”Goodnight, Papa.” He yawned. A soft breeze flew by them and Lancelot used his chaos powers to pick up his guitar as he helped Galahad wrap his light blue blanket around himself.

Beneath the dimmer shades of light from the stars and moon, his son’s fur almost glowed slightly, while he looked like a walking shadow from a distance. He once wondered if that was why he was named Shadow, but then he learned about the project. Galahad double checked he had his frog plush named Hopper, even though it was in his hands already, and Lancelot began walking. Using his chaos powers, he began to play a tune on his guitar and hummed.

“Days seem sometimes as if they’ll never end...”

Lancelot began to walk back to the cabin he and his son lived in as Galahad smiled, hugging his frog a little tighter and nuzzling against Lancelot’s white patch of fur on his chest.

“Sun digs its heels to taunt you...”

“But after sunlight days, one thing stays the same; Rises the moon...”

“Days fade into a watercolor blur...”

Lancelot thought back to the day the ARK was attacked by G.U.N., the day he lost his first ever friend, along with his “innocence” as the humans called it.

“Memories swim, and haunt you,”

He brought himself back to the present and reminded himself that he’d do anything to protect his new child, especially from G.U.N.

“But look into the lake, shimmering like smoke, Rises the moon...”

Galahad let out a small yawn, barley showing his small teeth, and relaxed as Lancelot continued walking.

“Ooh, close your weary eyes... I promise you that soon the autumn comes to darken fading summer skies...”

“Breathe, breathe, breathe...”

Galahad’s smile started to fade, but not in a frowny-bad way. He was starting to drift off, and Lancelot couldn’t stop himself from smiling. He continued walking through the fields, taking the clearer way back. Yes, he was out in the open, but this way, any threats would also be out in the open and he could take care of it quicker. Not to mention this path was smoother.

As he hummed, Lancelot kept using his chaos energy to carry and play the guitar.

“Days pull you down just like a sinking ship...”

Galahad breathing began to slow down, but not in a way that concerned Lancelot. He knew his son was falling asleep and double checked that the blanket Galahad brought with them was covering him well enough to keep him from feeling the cool breeze.

“Floating is getting harder, but tread the water, child, and know that meanwhile... Rises the moon...”

Speaking of the moon, the light of the crescent made it so that it was bright enough for a normal person to see after a bit of time in the still dark night, yet dark enough for Galahad to fall sleep, which was what was happening.

“Days pull you up just like a daffodil...”

Lancelot saw the cabin he built in the distance and felt a bit relieved. Galahad would soon sleep in his own bed, safe and sound under the covers.

“Uprooted from its garden... They’ll tell you what you owe, but know even so... Rises the moon...”

Lancelot used a bit more chaos energy to open the door, and manipulated it so it wouldn’t produce sound as he walked inside.

“You’ll be visited by sleep...”

The dark hedgehog closed the door behind him and walked upstairs to his son’s bedroom, doing the same thing with his door.

“I promise you that soon the autumn comes to steal away each dream you keep...”

Lancelot slowly and gently set Galahad down on the mattress and got another blanket out from the closet. Autumn was indeed right around the corner, and Galahad got cold much easier than he did. Mostly on account that he was the ultimate life form and that he barley notices as much change in temperature as others, but Lancelot also believed it was because of how little he was. Galahad hugged his frog a bit tighter as Lancelot tucked him under the second blanket.

“Breathe, breathe, breathe...”

He silently backed into the doorway and grabbed the handle. Once the last few notes were played, he used his chaos energy to levitate his guitar out of the room.”Sweet dreams, son.” Lancelot whispered softly.

He closed the door and began making his way to his bedroom, which was opposite side of Galahad. The funny thing is that wether or not he had a good or bad dream, he could always count on Galahad unknowingly waking him up on accident early in the morning or in the middle of the night for cuddles.
