#Sona: Darcy Elden Ring

been turning a bunch of Lore ideas for my Tarnished MC/Sona and I'm gonna ramble about it here. I will probably not use all this but I like sharing my ideas even if I change them later on.

So I'm thinking of her in a sort of like... how the mythos about her forms once she becomes Elden Lord, like how people see her as a religious figure. I want her appearance to be more plain, a beautiful face but dressed humbly. Her signature weapon she is always depicted with being the Winged Scythe. I'm thinking her title is "Saint Darcy, the Gentle Envoy of Death" based on the scythe's description and the fact that she restores Destined Death. I have a collage of inspiration ideas-

I'd love to draw a mural-like piece of her walking on the surface of a lake filled with St. Trina's water lilies, holding her scythe and being surrounded by violet petals and white feathers fluttering around her. Also my other signature weapon, St. Trina's silver sword sheathed at her side (maybe). I also like the idea of her sleeves being bloody, and her hands covered in scars and wrapped in bloodied bandages to symbolize the death on her hands, the bloody path she had to carve to bring about a new age of peace and prosperity.

I'm also thinking of lore of like... how she rules as Elden Lord. I'm thinking, rather than worship the grace of gold, she champions life- flowers, natural trees, living beings, things like that. I like to think she plants a normal tree where the Erdtree once grew, and calls it "Melina's Sacrifice." It grows to a similar large size as the Erdtree, but is still just a normal tree. A symbol of life, life that Melina cared so much for she was willing to sacrifice herself for it. Its seeds spread around the lands and this new unique species of tree can be found scattered about the Lands Between.

Also, I like to think she cures the lands of the deathroot... I know my ideas are kinda bs and probably don't fit with the lore, but the lore is so vague in respects that I feel like I can work my ideas in. But my idea is that she cleanses the deathroot by resurrecting Godwyn... kinda. I don't have all the details figured out but basically she ressurects Godwyn's body back to how it was, ridding the lands of his mutated corpse and the deathroot. She does this by using the death rune to put the souls of the D twins into his body. How? dw about it, it's magic that's how. I also like to think after becoming Elden Lord she gains a holy power to cleanse people of curses and magical ailments. For Reasons.

Also My headcanonis that Marika is dead and has been since the start of the game, and once we kill Radagon her body really just becomes the corpse vessel for the Elden ring.

Also like... how Ranni describes her order as the chill of night, I feel like my Tarnished would create an order of Life- not of worshipping gold, or life with the removal of death, but the cycle of life and death and all the beauty of life- the green of plants in their full bloom of life, the red and yellow hues of leaves dying as the seasons change, the newborn fawn that takes its first steps, and its subsequent death at the jaws of a mother wolf so its flesh can be used to nourish the life of her cubs. Yknow, that kinda... poetic-y stuff lol. Maybe another symbol of her could be a rainbow? To symbolize all the colors ad richness of life? Idk, just spitballing here. But the image of my tarnished brandishing her winged scythe with a rainbow shimmering over her head like a halo, and the tree of life, Melina's Sacrifice, growing behind her. It is invoking some Religious Imagery and I'm vibing with it

rambling about more elden ring ideas (that specifically pertain to my own headcanons about my tarnished's actions after endgame)

I touched on it in another post, but I wanted to ramble more about how I imagine Godwyn's "resurrection" by my Tarnished went. As in, how he is as a person. First of all, I imagine him looking like Godwyn, but with the skin, hair, and eye color of the D twins (whose soul is in his body.) Also a merman, the kind with the twin tails (mostly to symbolize that his soul was once a soul shared by two bodies, twin brothers). I imagine at first he is rendered unable to speak and doesn't really seem to understand what's going on or interact with the world around him. The memories of Godwyn, Devin, and Darian are all intermingling and fighting for dominance, and eventually as "Godwyn" gains some semblance of a personality, he's a mix of all three, remembering the lives of each person and taking on traits of each, to become a new person.

And YES my Tarnished nurses him back to health and takes care of him as he slowly gains a sense of self. That's her HUSBAND whom she LOVES.
