SLYTHERIN! ZEKE ★ masterlist.
part of the "hogwarts" series ੈ♡‧₊˚ starting with the older characters first and going down the list <33
when zeke got his Hogwarts letter, he was confused
confused because he had no idea he was even a wizard
the very last thing he expected to find out on his 11th birthday was that his dad was a wizard, and, oh yeah, before his mom died, she was a witch, too
so he's very cautious and doubtful about going to a magical boarding school, no matter how prestigious his dad keeps saying it is
who names their school Hogwarts anyway?
i don't even think zeke is 100% aware of the house prejudices until he gets sorted into Slytherin and realises the cute girl he met on the train no longer wants to go near him
but eventually as the years progress, zeke becomes less bothered by the people who actually care about what robes you wear and house you represent
and very quickly, everybody around him seems to follow suit
for zeke gains his own reputation very fast — and not for any of the reasons anyone expected
zeke is a little bit rude and sarcastic, which reminds whoever needs reminding of his house and how he ended up being sorted in Slytherin, but he's also very adaptable and enjoyable to be around, which is probably how everybody knows him, if not by face then almost certainly by name
he's theeee Hogwarts gossip; he knows everything about everyone and knows how to connect you to the people you need
want some magic mushrooms from Hufflepuff but got no friends in that house? dw, zeke knows a guy, and all you gotta do in return is tell zeke if that rumour is true or not 👀
definitely that Slytherin who younger students want to turn to for help or support
zeke has lost count how many times he's been forcibly dragged into petty arguments by the younger kids (although he loves the drama)
he's also that student who looks sooo much older than everybody else, which kind of automatically makes him an eccentric big brother figure to so many Slytherins
zeke doesn't give a single flying fuck about quidditch or other sports at Hogwarts, but you can guarantee he'll be up for a mean game of wizards chess against any student who dares ask
he's not even good at chess either — he always loses, especially against some of the major competitors in his year at Hogwarts like erwin or yelena
i don't believe he had a pet going to Hogwarts because his dad was like "i dont trust you" but later on when his lil brother gets a pet for his first year (not fair btw) zeke gets theeeee ugliest fattest toad possible just to spite everyone
but his frog kind of hates being essentially imprisoned in the Slytherin dungeons and so zeke ends up losing him somewhere
(one day he swims past the stained glass windows with the merpeople and zeke's just like…ok good for u)
his best class is actually ancient runes, though he's pretty good at muggle studies since his stepmom is a muggle and he was pretty much raised by her after his mama died and grisha got with carla a few yrs later
his patronus is a manx cat, though he kind of wanted a monkey since they're his favourite animals
when someone in Gryffindor puts up posters for a debate club, zeke is the first one there, stirring up drama and giving his thoughts
despite having his own very deep rooted opinions, zeke prefers to start an argument and let everybody else fight it
he never wears his robes correctly and is always being told off for having his shirt untucked or collar undone
and even though he cares very little for quidditch, you can guarantee that zeke has somehow acquired a quidditch jumper just because they look good
is the number 1 umbridge irritator — if the weasley twins aren't giving her more grey hairs, then zeke is
he is a yapper and cannot shut up or back down from an argument, even if he doesn't even believe in the point he's arguing for
his least favourite subject is charms, but simply because it's boring and always drags on before the end of their classes for the day
he must ALWAYS read the daily prophet whilst having breakfast
once both he and eren received a joint howler once that zeke deliberately didn't open for weeks and weeks until he forgot about it and it opened itself in the middle of the night
he's probably that student who calls the professors by their first names and despite getting endless detentions, he just doesn't stop
contrary to popular belief, zeke loves the library at Hogwarts but why tf is it so dark? he's forever falling asleep in there and has to be woken up by the librarian or one of the many ghosts
has no idea what he wants to do once Hogwarts is over — he feels like there's three jobs for wizards and none of them appeal to him, but he's got a while to figure it out yet, bless him

COTL x SDV Crossover AU
I've been brewing something, and it's not Ancient Fruit Wine I promise. Inspired by Husky's Farmer AU I started working on a Crossover AU with Stardew Valley.
Prepare for some of my unfiltered notes and messy doodles.
Lamb - Charlie, he/they
Their family owns a livestock farm, which is owned by their parents. He and his siblings often help out around, taking care of the animals but he still has enough freedom and time to help other villagers and farmers such as Narinder. Livestock because that's kind of similar to taking care of the cultists, right? Right?? :'D
(this is basically like Marnie's Farm)
Charlie was found as an infant in the forest by his parents who brought him home to be raised like one of their own children. He is not aware of that, but he understands junimo language & can sense a certain aura from the deeper parts of the forest. He's also better at picking up the magical aura surrounding the magical creatures.
Bishops
Their god form is similar to their Eldritch form, whilst their disguise / mortal form is similar to their regular Bishop design. In their mortal form they still stand out though, considering they're usually taller than regular villagers and always surrounded by a mystic aura of sorts.
Narinder
Narinder moved to the valley recently. It's not clear if he did so on his own wish or if someone, or something made him. Either way he's here to start a new life, and despite not having any experience he still somewhat grows into this role. He's glad he can turn over a new leaf without the prejudice of his past life.
Lamb welcomes him the day he moves to the valley and quickly notices he has no idea what he is doing, and after watching him struggle for a bit he offers his help. Narinder, being too prideful to ask help on his own accord, accepts the neighbouring farmer's advice and help albeit a bit hesitant at first.
His original domain is the very bottom of Skull Cavern, but since he left for unknown reasons the residing monsters have run wild and rampant and the very cavern itself has twisted and distorted by the uncontrolled magic, making it run seemingly endlessly.
Twins
Baal is a full time adventurer in the Adventurer's Guild, he frequently goes on long trips down the dungeons to slay monsters, collect loot and bring home ores, minerals and weapons. Aym used to be an adventurer as well, but stepped down from a full time position after he injured his eye. He runs a flower shop attached to Forneus' General Store & sometimes helps out in the Guild selling goods.
Most other characters fill pretty expected or similar roles.
Forneus runs the local general store.
Rakshasa works at the Saloon.
Kudaii runs the blacksmith/weaponsmith. Clauneck is the fortune teller, perhaps also with a semi-permanent location in or near town.
Fisherman runs the fish shop.
Leshy
Leshy, a magical, possibly godly creature residing in the deep woods [based on the DeepWoods Mod that adds an infinite dungeon to the secret woods]. Sometimes he surfaces to the lighter parts of the forest. Not the only godly creature in the valley.
Heket
Heket resides in the Witch's Swamp. She stays mostly hidden and rarely shows herself to mortals, being more reclusive and drawn back. Few villagers are aware of the strange rune in the cave near the Railroads leading to her Swamp, and even if any dared to enter they'd be chased away quickly.
Kallamar
Kallamar resides in a deep ocean cave near shore. He frequently exits his domain to pass as mortal and help the villagers around town, usually dealing with illness and disease. He does not disclose his godly status though and villagers are under the assumption he's the doctor from the next village, coming into the valley ever so often to help patients.
Shamura
Shamura is the museum curator, at least that’s what it seems like. Them being the oldest they are very skilled at passing as a mortal with little to no flaw. Despite this they avoid the outdoors and don’t attend any holidays or town gatherings so as to not slip up in their disguise.
Their origin is unknown, but some suspect them to come from a faraway island.

I'm putting this under read more bc it's stupid
that being said the second u arent on ur lil corner of the internet and u realise what it looks like when u have a favourite character that isnt conventionally attractive/is non-human its like. Oh
i am a fan of nuance as well but it feels very normal when there is a big thread on why putting a magic equivalent of a shock collar on your child and banishing them to live in a dirty sewer for eternity does not count as child abuse actually and was done out of love actually and it feels very normal when people will bend over backwards to minimise or even justify the part of the narrative where someone hurts them despite the game basically screaming at you that it was a wrong doing regardless of if you even chose to engage with that part of the quest
"um mohg still killed people so actually u cant feel bad for him whatsoever" me when i open a killing people game and characters kill people: no.... that can't be..... i have never seen anyone act that way around let's say messmer but okay . i wonder why that is /s . Going to start commenting um actually he killed people under every cute art of him I see and see how annoying that gets quickly
it is not that deep but you guys need to understand how deeply annoying this is to me, it feels like people are reading him for a beast and not like. a character. which like. narratively he is literally just a guy. I know if u don't give a fuck about a character ur not going to engage with the text the same way as someone who does especially when it's this specific type of writing to asks of you to do a certain amount of gap filling work (it's written like this on purpose) BUT I beg of thee he's not. An animal 😭
escaping a system which mistreated me but i cannot imagine one which functions with a different structure so i am just rebuilding it with myself on top - oh mohgys also so much like his mom actually. no but like... a palace really, and a set of appointed nobles and a very persistent focus on knight culture... okay silly. sure thing. creating my own thing (it looks very much like the thing that should've been mine by birthright but i was denayed)
Is he not the funniest nepotism baby of all time. The fact that his great rune is completely soaked in blood but he still /has one/ is like an equivalent of taking your family's money only to start a rival company . Is he not hilarious that way
He should've been accountant he's so good at streamlining blood sacrifices, getting war surgeons to basically pay blood taxes to you, not that I support kidnapping and blood rituals but that's clever you have to give him that. Can you imagine you are just vibing and suddenly there is a diety above your head like hello. You are under my patronage now. Welcome. No you cannot opt out.
Also this
And the fact that he's wearing a fancy little robe with such detailed embroidery whilst ruling over 2 piles of rocks on fire and 14 people is also just incredible . And he'd name everything after himself if given a chance he's so funny I love that guy
Sorry chat for rambling but like there isn't a bond greater than a random guy and a souls boss with 4 lines of dialogue that you meet in game long after they've lost themself in one way or another I have like 1928181 thoughts at all times he lives in my head rent free and so do sir ansbach and the rest of the mohgwyn npcs and his much less attractive twin brother but I also have a job. And therfore. I ought to go. Blowing a kiss to my beautiful wife
#talkies#i will not be responding to anyone if anyone replies to this somehow this is for me like my little diary okay? are we clear? cool

130+ kinds of wizard
Someone on Reddit wanted help brainstorming new power sources for magic users. They said they were even willing to commission someone to help with brainstorming.
I was simultaneously charmed that they were willing to pay, and appalled that someone might accept money for the easiest part of game design. So I came up with a few freebies for them.
I may have gone a bit hard. In my defence I was having fun. Stashing them here for future access:
Channelling ley-lines (it matters where you are)
Siphoning life energy
Bargain with a demon (terrible price yet to be paid)
Owns a pet genie
Guardian angel
Star-powered (constellation theme)
Blessed by a god
Descended from a god (remnant of divine power)
Manipulating your own blood (health>magic)
Magic ink to create tattoos or paintings that come to life (art>magic)
Psychic powers (emphasis on mind-related effects)
In tune with nature
Luck-manipulation (yours and others)
Your power comes from how much other people believe in your powers
Gain magic by stealing/absorbing other people's spells
Using a stolen staff/book full of someone else's magic
Possessed by a powerful magical weapon
Animal-themed magic granted by a nature spirit
Every spell is a pact with a minor local spirit
Martial artist whose techniques have magical effects
Cult leader who draws powers from your followers' faith
You make and use wands and other disposable magic tools
Shadow manipulation, weak against the sun.
On-theme magic from your allegiance to the elemental plane of whatever
Elemental channeller, but only one element at a time (non-traditional elements are coolest)
Haunted by the ghost of a powerful wizard who casts for you
You're dead but use various spells to stay in the living realm
Brought back from the dead by a magical patron who gave you a mission
Drank a weird potion and now you're always burping up spells
Various alchemical potions that allow you to transmute or rearrange matter
Gain power from various binding vows and taboos
All your power resides in the magitech staff you're always tinkering with
Compulsive reader who fuels their magic by sacrificing memories
Chaos wizard whose magic only works because of how unpredictable it is
Carries a deck of cards, each card has a different spell on it
Latest of a long magical bloodline, with history and responsibilities
Untutored natural talent whose magic is raw - potent but hard to control
Possessed by a demon that hates you, but can't afford to let you die
Possessed by an angel that loves you, but doesn't want to hurt anyone
A mad alchemist replaced all your blood with a magic potion
You were hit by lightning and the lightning decided to stay in you
Power from the sun and moon, with different powers under each
Manipulating language to create magical effects
Combining runes with special meanings in various combinations
Sharing magic with a twin, so you need to take turns
Devoting yourself to someone and gaining magic that can only affect them
Gain spells from the icky monster parts you eat
Balance magic, where you need to match the harm and help your spells do
Ghost magic, binding the souls of the dead to a purpose
Rainbow magic, each colour does something different
Focusing your magic through special gems to create spell effects
Inscribing your spells on weapons and armour
Wearing your spells as armour, "spending" them for extra effect
Summoning the spirits of legendary heroes
Summoning the spirits of legendary weapons/tools
Fleshcrafting - manipulating the body of yourself and others
Full of magical centipedes
Fire and ice magic, but try to balance use of both so you don't freeze/burn
An angel and a demon do you favours as they compete over your your soul
You're a dragon or giant wizard's familiar
Sacred geometries and the hidden powers of numerology
Born with a finite amount of magic power and when it's used up it's all gone
Mirror magic - illusions, jumping into reflections or making them real.
Smoking pipeweed to make smoke constructs, walk on clouds etc
Burned as a witch and didn't die, kept alive but on fire by magic
Not a real wizard - all your "spells" are tricks and lies
Very flexible magic but can never cast the exact same spell twice
Your magic overflows – you have to cast spells because you’ll explode if it builds up in you
Your magic is a literal biological parasite living in your body
Eating magic items to recharge/boost your spells
You only know one spell, but it’s a really useful one
Use the iron in your blood to control magnetism; railgun beats fireball
You’ve got a loyal elemental serving in place of one limb
Law magic that sets up terms and conditions for others to obey, or face the consequences
Part of an organisation of allied mages all drawing their power from the same artificial source
Dream magic; putting people to sleep, prophecy and manifesting nightmares
You’re a dream creature in the waking world and don’t really understand magic’s not meant to work
Drawing power from the scrimshawed bones of ancient beasts
Water-powered so you recharge in the rain and get dehydrated if you cast too much
Bargaining; you can magically enforce contracts and use magic to trade in abstract qualities
Alien from another plane whose “magic” is 100% natural, but needs to use “spells” to perform mundane actions
Halfway to being a vampire – holding the transformation at bay with potions and using your powers like spells
Rage-powered magic that’s less effective the happier you are
Stapled a bunch of beholder eyestalks on to yourself
Power from obscurity – the less someone knows about you, the stronger your spells are to them
Wealth-powered magic where you sacrifice currency for spell effects
Namer – find something’s true name (or name it yourself) to have power over it
Only follower of a tiny god who demands great obedience but performs tiny miracles
Devotee of a trickster god where your spells only work if they’re causing clever chaos
Reincarnation of a powerful wizard who doesn’t remember all of their past life yet
You flunked out of wizard college and don’t really understand what you’re doing, it just works, OK?
Undead-eater who channels the necromantic energy of other necromancers
Gaining the powers/knowledge of a thing by wearing the right mask/disguise
Power spells by imbibing magical drugs/alcohol that cause increasing impairment
Negotiating favours from the fair folk
Your magic consists entirely of powerful rituals with lasting effects that take at least half an hour to cast
Your spells must be powered by the sacrifices of other people, so you’re always trading favours to keep casting
Magic granted by one specific tree which you must protect at all costs
Your family is bonkers rich so you just have an invisible magical butler
Magic granted by a hive of friendly enchanted bees that you carry like a backpack
Paradox magic where every night tomorrow-you teaches yesterday-you the spells you will have needed
Every spell is a little pet creature you've found and looked after
Spell breeder where you make new spells by combining old ones
Creating prophecies that always come true
[That’s the end of the ones I posted on Reddit. I think that’s 104. New ones below]
Your “spells” are magical diseases you’re infected with; try not to pass them on
You passed through the dolmen gate to awaken your mage-sight
Replaced one eye with an orb of power
Plant spellseeds into the earth every night and harvest the spells for casting each morning
Create temporary links to places and creatures to channel spells based on them
Lunar magic whose spells change with the moon phase
Saved the life of a magic fish you gave you powers
Spellcasting powers are a duty handed down across the generations
You’re a naturally magical creature polymorphed into human shape
Your magic “powers” are actually a curse eating you alive
You know potent runes which you sketch onto surfaces with chalk for spell effects
Drank from a magic fountain and all the magic climbed in to yourself
Someone else bargained for power and you got it due to a clerical error
Your “spells” are fate conspiring to keep you alive for a greater destiny/doom
Prodigy who invented a school of magic unrecognised by conventional wisdom
Monk who receives magical focus through mortification and asceticism
Gained sympathetic magic from following in the path of a legendary hero
Satchel full of scrolls that never seems to run out
Scientific and impious “prayer” that calls down divine favours through arcane means
Coat of many colours, every patch woven with a different enchantment
Parasitic haemotroph vine infection grows magical fruits you can eat, throw etc
Golf bag of magic staves collected from defeated rival wizard's
Orbiting halo of arcane crystals with unique spell-like powers
Exile from a magically advanced lost civilisation
Time-travelling tourist from a magically advanced possible future
Channels raw magical energy through a carefully-faceted focal lens
Untamed magic erupts from you unpredictably
Destined for greatness, some of your future power leaks back through time
Aided and guided by the souls of your ancestors
Explorer from an undersea kingdom who had to learn magic to survive above water
From a magic-hating culture that cursed you with this talent to be an asset to your people
Born without a soul and magic rushed in to fill the void
Lost your soul and a wizard gave you theirs to save yourself
Cursed with ever-growing hair, you tie it into knots and braids to weave spells

Delicious in Dungeon vol 4 by Ryoko Kui
5/5
This post is for fan entertainment, I’m not being paid.
To see the Vol 3 post of Delicious in Dungeon Click here
Major Spoilers, if you haven’t watched the anime or read this volume, I would stop reading and go check them out, you have been warned.
The volume starts with Mr. Tansu and his group returning top side, via a magic painting. When I first met Mr. Tansu I didn’t think too much of him. But reading this volume I can tell that he is someone of importance because not only he is a very powerful magic user (he can bring people back from the dead. Freshly dead.) He also goes and see the lord of the island that the dungeon is on. He, at the moment, is one of my least favorite characters, but I respect him for how much he cares for Kiki & Kaka and his wife.
Namari and the twins go to a body recovering place and see if Falin turns up, with no such luck, and they have a meal together.
Back to Laios’s team
Our heroes make it the town castle area of the dungeon. They observe that the dragon has been by the area recently and they have found supplies that the Orcs that have been chased out left behind. Senshi wants to make bread and Laios and the group decide to come up with a plan of attack.
With the group they have, they are underprepared, Laios tells Senshi how they would tackle dragons (smaller versions) with the other ex-party members and Falin.
Last volume and this volume show how great Falin was with the defensive stuff while Marcille did offensive stuff.
The fight with the dragon was epic, everyone is fighting tooth and nail to slay the beast and get Falin, and there are some dicey moments in the fight and Senshi is awesome in the fight.
Chilchuck finds out that Laios had a monster sword and was not happy with the Laios hiding this from the group.
Spoilers
But, after a long grueling fight they fell the dragon, but it was too late for Falin, she was digested by the dragon. However, Marcille offers a way to bring Falin back.
Marcille has been studying ancient forbidden magic, which unnerves Chilchuck and Senshi who tell her not to do it. Marcille looks at Laios and asks what she should do. Laios wants his sister back and tells her to do it.
Using the dragon flesh and finding Falin bones Marcille makes a rune circle and starts chanting.
The how ritual is very draining on Marcille, and she passes out from the drain on her mana, but Falin is back.
After the group spends some time relaxing and recovering and almost getting blown up the group is treated to a delicious meal cooked by Senshi, they all turn in for the night.
But at the sight of the dragon we see a lone elf figure, the elf from the chapter with the magic paintings.
Now my final thoughts on this volume.
I loved it honestly the fight with the dragon was epic and I was so happy that Laios and Marcille got Falin back.
Now before this volume I just thought that Marcille and Falin were like best friends from magic school. But after reading this volume there is something there between Falin and Marcille, I am not sure if I am reading into wrong or the billions of pieces of fan art of the two of them together has anything to do with it.
I look forward to the next volume.

Norse Animal Spirits: Boar
Boar is generally not the first animal to pop into someone’s mind when thinking of Northern animal spirits, but he is a powerful and ancient teacher.
Boar is strong, powerful - a personification of the rune Uruz. Boar is associated with both Freyja and Freyr (as Gullinbursti and Hildisvini) and is thus a spirit associated with fertility. Not only is Boar representative of divine masculinity in the form of phallic fertility, but also in the form of an earth-dweller. Boars live close to the ground, close to the Earth, and as Vanir-adjacent spirits they are in-tune with the natural rhythms of the world. Boar is also a companion spirit, as both Hildisvini and Gullinbursti are mounts and traveling companions to the Twins.
Boar is wild, passionate, and intense, yet also carries a sort of quiet knowing about them. Boar is duality. Call upon Boar when you need passionate and strong support. When you need guidance of a raging river, Boar will answer.

THE STAR IN THE NIGHT SKY
PART 1
aonung x sully reader:
reader is named Riti if you wish to have another name pretend its your selected name when someone will say Riti.
The forests of Pandora hold many dangers.
But the most dangerous thing about Pandora is…
that you can come to like her too much
15 years after the battle with the sky people my brother Nateyam and i Riti were born. Nateyam is my older twin brother,a loving and protective older brother. Not long after our birth my adopted sister Kiri was born of Grace's avatar whose conception was a complete mystery.
And after some time my younger brother Loak and sister Tuk were born as well. And spider a human left behind has became my brother yes he is human but to me he is a brother.
From as far back as I can remember, I adored the nature and the animals that live on Pandora.I loved to explore every part of my home and when i was 6 years old i started to explore a little more far away from my home . Ofc i was never alone my mom or dad or even Nateyam were with me all the time. They told me i was too weak to be all alone out hire. That might be normal ,i mean i was 6 years old ofc i was too weak to be left alone but they told me that even when i was 12 and even now.To them i am weak and will forever be a weak little baby.So since i was never allowed to be alone outside i was with my siblings most of the time.Kiri and i had the same love for the nature so she became my best friend fast.Loak was and still is a real little brother when mom was not around i was his mom, he relly is a stupid baby, never thinking about what could happen same as Spider.Tuk is just a little sweetie pie and Nateyam, well hi is a real big brother, taking care of all of us all the time.
My life was perfect(even if i was not allowed to be alone)it was all perfect until the sky people came back. They destroyed everything i have known and loved. And just like that my perfect life ended.
I was riding Aza(my ikran) i was flying next to Loak and Nateyam. We (and by we i mean me my mom,dad,2 brothers and the rest of the warriors on ikrans and Direhorses)were ambushing a train from the sky people. The train exploded and the warriors on the Direhorses went to get some weapons that are still able to be used.Loak,Nateyam and i are supposed to stay on our ikrans and worn the others if the sky people come.
- We have to go down there.
(said Loak)
-Father will kill us.
(said Nateyam as i gave an angry look to Loak)
-How stupid are you if we go down there we can die.
(i told Loak in a angry voice)
-Oh come on you guys.
(said Loak as he started to fly down to the ground)
-Lo'ak, come back!
(shouted Nateyam as he started to fly after Loak)
-Nateyam,Loak come back you idiots!
(i shouted as i started to follow both of them.As i landed a few seconds after Nateyam i ran to my two stupid brothers as i saw a navi giving Loak a gun)
-Lo'ak, you don't even know how to use it.
(said Nateyam to Loak)
-Dad showed me that.
(said Loak to Nateyam with the sound of pride in his voice)
-Guys come on we need to go back did you two forget we need to be in the air not on the ground taking guns.
(i said angry)
-Oh calm down sis there is no danger.
(just as Loak said that a helicopter gunship came into view)
-Shit. Come on guys lets go
(said Nateyam with fear in his voice)
(we were runing to our ikrans as i and my brothers were thrown up in the sky.Im guessing the helicopter gunship fired.I was not thrown to far away i gut a little hurt but i was just happy i was alive.I looked around scared as i saw my dad coming towards me with Nateyam in his arms.I did not care about my small injury the only thing i cared about at this moment is if Nateyam is ok)
-You ok baby girl?
(asked dad worry in his voice)
-Yeah im fine is, is he hurt?
(i asked my dad)
-Yes he is but he will be good dont worry, now lets go back before more of them come.
(said dad as we both ran to our ikrans Loak and mom already waiting for us.We both got on our ikrans as we all flew home)
(as we all got home Tuk , Kiri and Spider were there waiting for us as we landed.I got down from Aza and waited for the rest to join me on the ground. The second Nateyam got down from dads ikran i was next to him looking at his wounds)
-You are scouts. You must keep an eye out for enemies. At a distance! (shouted dad at me,Loak and Nateyam)
(Kiri joined me next to Nateyam looking at his wounds as i was now looking at the ground in shame)
- Kiri, go help with the wounded.
(said dad trying to not sound angry at Kiri since she did nothing wrong)
- My brother is also injured.
(Kiri protested)
- Tuk, go with her.
(said dad as Kiri roled her eyes and went of to grandma with tuk)
- Father, I take full responsibility.
(said Nateyam)
(god he is so stupid just cus he is the oldest ,does not mean he needs to take the blame)
-Yes, because you are the oldest
(said dad)
- MaJake, your son is bleeding.
(said mom)
- It doesn't matter, mother.
(said Nateyam)
-Ofc it does you skxawng!
(i said with anger in my voice)
-Go in and get patched up.
(said dad )
(as mom and Nateyam went of i , Loak and dad wore left alone)
-Dad dont blame Nateyam it was me, i should have never leted them go down there.
(i told dad not wanting Loak to get in more trouble)
(god im just like Nateyam taking the blame for everything)
-No baby girl its not your fault, go to Kiri im sure she will be happy to get some help with the wounded.
(said dad )
( i wanted to say something but his look told me to just go and so i did and as i was leaving i looked back and gived a sad look to Loak. And as i was walking of i could still hear them talk)
-You must be aware that you almost got your siblings killed.
(said dad)
-Yes sir.
(said Loak looking up at dad)
-You are banned from flying for a month.Dismount the ikrans. All of them. And wipe the nastiness off your face.
(said dad)
(that was the last thing i heard as i made my way to the tent my sisters, brothers and grandma were in.I took a sit next to Nateyam looking at the wound he had)
- Give him this.
(said grandma)
- I would use yalnabark.
(said kiri)
- Aha. Who is tsahik here?
(asked grandma with a little chuckle)
-You are, grandma, but yalnabark is better. It hurts less.
(said kiri puting what ever was inside the small wooden pot on to Nateyam)
(by then Loak came to us and walked around Nateyam to go sit on the other side)
- Mighty warriors.
(said Loak jokingly)
(i gived him a small smile as Nateyam started to tell him how stupid he is.I could see mom and dad talking outside but i did not care what they were talking about i was just happy my stupid brothers are safe)
That is the end for now i would like to say sorry for putting -baby girl- in i just wanted Riti to be called that the same was as Kiri, if you are a male just pretend it says baby boy or any other nickname. If anyone has any idea of a good nickname for both fimale and male pls tell me and i will change it.And thx for reading, my english is not good i would say its shit but i hope you understood. If you want to ask me anything or maybe give me ideas pls do not hesitate to ask me.Thx again to anyone whu has read this.

related to the most recent question: do ppl still get pregnant in a way in your universe? i kno ryo was born bc of magic, is it smth similar with people who dont have magic? like do they magically have an egg in their house when they want a kid or smth, im interested !
Yes! People do still get pregnant. And interestingly enough, sometimes an animal species can tie into how that pregnancy works!
(I actually thought a lot about pregnancy lore haha)
For example, a crow like Ingram, I think was "hatched" rather than born. If you have someone who's an animal person, and can lay eggs, they can choose to lay an egg instead of becoming pregnant.
Similarly, if an animal person chooses to get pregnant, they will be unable to change into an animal form until their pregnancy is finished. Babies that are born may take a few months to be able to change into an animal form.
Also interestingly enough, pregnancies can have different timespans for different people! 9 months is the longest, but it can last as short as 3 months and create a perfectly healthy baby! (I imagine eggs also work on this time span)
So even when you have characters like Reginald and Mitzi, who are siblings but not twins, they may only be a few months apart in age rather than a full 9 months or longer!
However, one male and one female is still required for reproduction. (Unless you're an ultra-powerful wizard like Rune who can just decide he wants a kid one day)

It's alright!! The ramble is just fine!
I'm surprised, I hadn't heard there'd only be 5 episodes! Though, it absolutely does make sense, and I don't mind much.
At first when I saw the art I was a bit put off but, I think I do like it after getting used to it? Though some of the designs I agree, I wish were a bit more faithful.. I understand simplifying them for animation, but their designs right now feel a bit.. Strange? Like it feels like they don't keep a lot of key things from their game designs, which could've been very fun! But, I understand they may be going something that maybe we just don't see right now? I'm deciding to stay optimistic.
I agree with the dead cells as a framework thing, and I honestly think that could be really interesting. I hope the show will be good! I'll see if I can't get the game for myself to celebrate it.
I was very put off by the art style too at first. This is coming from someone who didn’t grow up from cartoons and has a low tolerance for a lot of the art styles. In motion, I think it looks fine for most scenes. Or at least most of the scenes they showed.
Btw, on the episodes number I was wrong. Don’t know French so was only picking out the numbers. Sorry! :(
From what I can tell, there will be 10 episodes total, each ~7 minutes. I again ask people to remember motion twin is indie. 5 airing on ADN (French anime streaming service) on June 19 and the other 5 on the 26. About ADN, you can’t watch for free with ads on there. You have to subscribe. Unless there’s a free trial, I think that will be a big turn off for a lot of people. Maybe one dedicated fan will make it pirate-able and then that will help with access. Also, I can’t tell if there’s guaranteed English subs.
you’ll need a VPN too, looks like it’s France only
Link to Dead Cell Immortalis’ page on ADN
Take everything I say with a grain of salt I may have misinterpreted a lot of things
As for the designs? I have a few theories
1. They want to make the show more approachable by non-dead cells fans. The less previously established characters you have and the less motifs, the less background you need. I mean, Laure was created with the explicit purpose of informing our favorite amnesiac cell blob of the world
2. They wanted people to be able to draw visual connections between the the Beheaded and king. Assuming they’re still connected at all
In game the Beheaded has a star/cross instead of an eye on the default head.
This can also be seen in the trailer. Sometimes.
(Also spider rune and ground pound yayy)
King’s symbol change was to
Almost a star. But, stylized to resemble a crown too. This very well could be a stretch. Maybe they just felt the original coat of arms didn’t have the old sci-fi look half these guys have.
3. They’re designed so the heads stick out. Like fingernails. Because they’re the hand. Do you guys even get what I’m saying with this
Not design related, I want to mention UI
Cells and gold moved to where mutations would be. Prisoner’s collar, 1 flask charge, base sword, base shield, and mystery item #3. We can assume from this it’s early on in the series. Amulets moved to be visible. Empty health but no scrolls of power indicator. I just found it interesting

Random Headcanons for my Tavs
Or are they just 'canons' since they're my lil guys anyway. Vague allusions to Dark Urge content under the cut
Mishann Hromadicanek
Dragonborn Paladin (Vengeance, later Oath breaker)
His dragon hoarding instinct applies mainly to books because his clan (The Noble House of Hromadicanek) created many libraries in Baldur's Gate, and he grew up surrounded by them
Mishann is the one who cooks for the rest of the camp, and he only allows Wyll to help him while cooking
He is allergic to dog hair (rip Scratch, best boy)
Glory
Tiefling Sorcerer (Draconic)
Like some other tieflings, Glory took his name as an adjective/noun that he wanted to embody. The fact that doing so pissed off his twin sister Gloria was only an added bonus.
Due to his draconic heritage, Glory's tail has a few scales on the tip. This is useful given the fact that he will sometimes chew on it when he is deep in thought.
Glory despises feeling and smelling unclean, and will frequently drag the party to the nearest water source to clean off the dirt and viscera covering them.
Rowan Rushond
Dark Urge Half-Elf Monk (Way of the Open Hand)
One of the first few books he found while poking around the beach after the nautiloid was a book about monastic orders. Given that he had 0 memories and the book said that monks could punch people well, he assumed that he was a monk in his previous life. Any monk lines that Rowan says are direct quotes from the book.
When Rowan uses his ki and hits someone, he can get a vague sense of their health. Someone with a lot of vigor makes him flash a hand signal to Astarion, as if to say 'This one should be yummy'
Has absolutely no sense of fashion and had to be bullied into changing out of the clothes that he woke up in the Nautiloid wearing
Lennox Amafete
Dark Urge Half-Elf Warlock (Fiend)
Got his warlock powers through good ol' fashioned nepotism. His Father basically threatened a cambion into giving Lennox a pact. Lennox and his patron are actually on good terms, despite this. The demon occasionally gives allusions to Lennox's forgotten past when it can do so without alerting Lennox's Father, leading to Lennox being a bit less of an amnesiac than he leads people to believe.
Both his eyes used to be a muddy red color, but his left eye was lost in his tadpole-ing. The replacement is slightly redder and the sigils tattooed on his face are stabilizing runes that keep his brain from leaking out his ears.
Sees wild animals as more equal to him than humanoids (on every level but physical, I am a wolf) and refuses to hurt or even eat them. Kicking Timber the squirrel made him feel awful and led to him working to learn the Speak With Animals spell.

Pippa Yarrow and Nalo Mitchell
In perfect unison, the twins ceased their flickering flames with a swift puff of air.
The room was stunned, until Honey hesitantly asked, “I know you two are assassins, but…did that actually happen?”
Smiling, Vega pulled her sleeve and bore the scar from her battle. “Senior year.”
“Yes, and Veda thought it best to bring an unconscious Vega through my window for some reason,” Maggie commented.
“You were close by!” Veda defended.
Bast furrowed a brow. “Did you…post that on your blog?”
“Briefly,” Maggie replied. “I didn’t post any pictures, nor did I mention anything in-depth given the situation.”
“I see.”
Gavin scratched his cheek. “Wait…aren’t you supposed to tell separate stories?”
“Yeah, you guys just took turns telling one story,” Clarissa added.
The sisters waved a hand. “Well, we’re twins so—”
“—we’re practically one person anyways, right?”
Cedric sighed. “It is…acceptable.”
“Yayyy!”
Someone in the group muttered “Freaky…” as he continued. “Pippa, if you’d like to continue.”
“Okay! I don’t know if mine will be quite as exciting, but it’s scary!”
***
Deep within the forest, a little girl ran. Closely behind her did skeletal creatures give chase, causing tears to pour from her eyes. The clacking of bone tapped rhythmically with the patters of her shoes on the dirt.
Through an ocean of haze beyond green, relief flooded her mind as she came upon a clearing. A cloaked woman was there, resting beside a glimmering black circle with shapes and runes all around it.
The woman stopped, moving her gaze from the ground to the girl with surprise, then smiled. “You would make a fine specimen,” she said. “Would you offer your corpse to your local Necromagus for study?”
Still panting, the little girl backed away as void-black illuminations surrounded her. The animated bones of creatures thrust from the dirt, writhing and twisting as they pulled themselves to the surface. Some even had decayed flesh clinging to their bodies, mold and maggots spilling from the rotted insides.
With the previous stalkers closing in, she quickly searched for an opening and rushed that way. Clacks and clatters and rattles lumbered behind her, echoing around the tree trunks.
Her only option was to flee towards the darker parts of the forest, where the greens were even more prevalent alongside tangled roots and thorns. Plants she had never seen before dotted the land, along with a plethora of mushrooms she had initially set out to find.
Slowly, the drum of bone behind her ceased.
But, she continued running. With her legs burning, she sprinted through sharp weeds until she was abruptly knocked back—bleary vision sabotaging her escape.
She rubbed her eyes, then gazed up, and up, and up, at a 9 foot tall man with the legs and horns of a deer, and eyes black with fury.
***
Pippa’s air silenced her flame. “And that’s where the scary part ends. Turns out, the deer-man was actually kind. He brought her back out to us safe and sound.”
“That was…about your sister Aubree, right?” Alina asked, recalling the events from Maggie’s old blog.
She nodded. “It’s the scariest story I know.”
Nalo whipped her head around. “That’s the scariest one you know?”
“Yeah??”
“Not the one where you were chasing after skeletons and nearly died?”
Pippa didn’t reply.
“Then let me tell you my scariest story.”
***
Despite the incoming danger, my best friend ran straight into it. With skeletons abound and a psycho mage-bitch intent on literally killing us all, she still stubbornly went in by herself. Bravely, dauntlessly, stupidly.
We (Maggie and I) were cut off from her before we could give chase, blocked by a wall of unfriendly bags of bones. While Pippa was off who-knows-where in the forest, I finally mustered the courage to rush one, and I grabbed a spare thigh to fend us off from the skeletons as we ran.
Eventually, whilst narrowly dodging death ourselves, we found Pippa collapsed on her knees in front of Necro-bitch. A rotted child’s corpse had been placed at her feet, wearing Aubree’s sweater and had a bit of her hair around it.
I don’t know what was going through her head at the moment. Whether she knew it was a trick, or she was so caught up in the moment that she couldn’t see through it, but she didn’t move as a bunch of forest zombies closed in on her. They dragged her forward kicking and screaming, and our attackers caught up to us and started getting handsy.
Pippa did fight, so I assume she came to her senses by that point, but she was slammed onto a rock and pinned down while Necro-bitch pulled a crooked knife on her.
And I had to watch on in horror, powerless as the mage raised the knife above her head and thrust it down on my best friend.

The Lost Temple of Dirthamen - Part 1
The Lost Temple of Dirthamen is an ancient temple dedicated to the elven god Dirthamen. It is located in the northeastern Orlais, off the northern coast of the Waking Sea. Along the years many treasure hunters went after the wealth inside it, but they never returned.
[This is part of the series “Playing DA like an archaeologist”]
This Temple is found in an elaborated way. We starts in Exalted Plains, collecting several elven glyphs. Each of them, I assume, could be related to a “secret”. One can only speculate about them [As a note, I’m trying to follow only the information we got from the oldest and more reliable sources: codices and inscriptions from the Temple of Mythal and Shattered Library.]:
Two raven. One grips a heart in its talons, the other a mirror: Is the secret of the construction of Eluvians associating it with the heart of a titan that the elves stole? We know via murals that titan’s hearts are sources of power.
A pair of hands cupped around the moon: the only moon-like imagery we have coming from the elves is the orb. [Yes, Dalish relate Mythal with Moon, but Dalish barely get anything right, so I prefer to avoid them as much as possible]
A hawk and a hare chasing the sun: So far we know from the unreliable Dalish tales, both animals are related to Andruil, who is called sometimes mother of hares. The hawk could be a wrongly interpreted owl, which is an animal messenger of Andruil or Dirthamen. Dirthamen is also related to other two birds: ravens and crows. In any case, the sun is a strange symbol. The sun appears in the Shattered Library on the top of some eluvians. The elven mosaics show a circle at the background in the case of Mythal and Fen’Harel that could be interpreted as a sun. Sylaise is related to extreme fire. If we incorporate the Dalish tales, we know that the “original father of the gods/Elgar’nan” is the Sun. So this could mean that Andruil chased after an ancient god / powerful entity?
Dirthamen on the back of a large crow: it may be the only hint we have to relate crows to this god. Or maybe the crow is related to Falon’din? With these twin gods you never know.
Investigating these glyphs in the war table, we are informed that these runes are older than the places we found them, meaning that they are not Dalish but Elvhenan. The place they point out is located far north-east of Orlais, and it is considered already spoiled since it’s not the first time someone got interest in these glyphs. Treasure hunters headed to the temple years ago, but they never returned. Recently, an archivist called Gretien got his interest in it and went into an expedition.
Entrance
When we find the temple, the first things we find are objects of explorers close to the entrance: tents, unrelated books [like Hard in Hightown] and encampment supplies. Here Explorers in the Temple (collection of notes) triggers. It narrates that an Orlesian archivist, Lord Gretien Faulk, started this expedition to find the power to see and know all. He is convinced that this power is not a divine gift but magic, and it can be attached to treasures, hence his search for the "Dirthamen's wisdom".
Immediately next to the entrance we find one of these elven paintings on the wall, showing a halla with elves wearing vallaslin.
Few steps ahead along the corridor, we meet a statue of Fen'Harel, as usual. Analogous statue was found at the entrance of the Temple of Mythal. A glyph can be seen which will trigger the first part of a Codex that will be updating along the exploration: The Lost Temple of Dirthamen. There are also many funerary elements around such as urns, Red inuksuk, and a strange object that we saw in the Temple of Mythal as well: a white bell-shaped object that, via game archives we know it's ink. There is a chance it could be related to the Dalish ink for Vallaslins.
Following the corridor, we see moonlight illuminating part of the path: a portion of the ceiling has collapsed. This corridor will guide us to one of the chambers where we collect the pieces of the High Priest.
If we stay in the corridor, there is a bifurcation marked with Archer Statues and walls decorated with the mosaic of Falon’Din [there is none of Dirthamen] and the painting of the battle with elves riding hallas. At the left of this corridor we will find the deceased body of one of the mercenaries that this archivist hired [a harlequin].
Objects in rooms and corridors
Along the corridors and in each room there are many objects, the most repetitive one is the Red inuksuk [1] which sometimes appears as decoration, on handrails of stairs, or among dead bodies and urns. I have the impression, even though it's a mere speculation on my part, that this object appears whenever sacrifices had been made in a place. There are many inuksuit with different variations [2] and this Vallaslin ink [3].
We can find black inuksuit and all its variations [2, 7], the constant presence of the Vallaslin ink in the shape of a white bell-like bottle [3], Dalish hide fence with drawings of branches on it, elven boxes, paintings [4] related to the post Nation Art: Elvhen, the Elvhen funerary lid [5], squared stones with the shape of an eluvian on them that in some places they work like elven epitaphs [6], more inuksuit and variations of them, in this case this one appears in two versions: with red marks, and in the chamber of the Forgotten, without them. And more books and urns. As we can see, the majority of the elements here are death-related.
The temple has several chambers, each of them with a particular name and a statue associated with it which holds a piece of the High Priest.
When you take the item, the statue has a Fade-rift like effect, and triggers a fight with arcane horrors.
When you pick the first item, the inquisitor notices a warmth to it. Cole will say it’s alive, and Solas will add that it’s alive because it’s connected to the original creature [video]. Once more, the game delivers to us the repetitive concept of the “one piece of the whole” [Flemeth, Corypheus, and this High Priest share in common that through small bits of themselves they can continue existing in different ways]
Honestly, this Temple is super boring to show in screenshots while exploring because all rooms have fancy variations in the way they display the same objects, but at the end of the day it’s always the same objects over and over. It’s more than clear to me that this Temple worked a lot more like a catacomb than anything else. In fact, we see in this whole temple 100% the theme of Falon’Din and little to nothing of Dirthamen. We even find his mosaics in the Sanctuary, but we don’t find Dirthamen’s mosaic, for example. There is even a unique Red Mosaic of Ghilan’nain, right beside the Path of Secrets, implying that she may have had some dark secrets [this is the closest hint to the theme "secrets" we have to represent Dirthamen in his own Temple]. We only find the owl statue in the main chamber of the temple, which is extremely questionable to what elven deity truly represents, as we saw in the posts of Exalted Plains and Emerald Graves. Once more we see that Dirthamen and Falon’Din are almost the same, and one would even risk to say that it's more about Falon'Din most of the time. This temple is less about secrets and more about death.
Explorers of the Temple
The exploration of the place triggers bits of notes of the recent Explorers in the Temple, at the same time that updates the codex The Lost Temple of Dirthamen. The first note of the explorers, Explorers in the Temple (collection of notes), is found in the same moment we enter the Temple. I spoke about this note above. It's basically a presentation of the archivist Gretien.
The next note Explorers in the Temple (scribbled notes) is found at the end of the main corridor, which basically shows the scholar's guesses about this ritual.
Returning to the collapsed corridor, we find an entrance with hallas, followed by Archers guiding our path. At the side of this path there is a mosaic of Falon’Din and on the other side, a barrier with many funerary elven elements.
When we remove the barrier, we find another note Explorers in the Temple (small chest), and a dead harlequin, a rogue hired by orlesian nobles as bodyguards. Does this mean that the scholar was attacked? It’s not clear what killed this person. The barrier is up, so it had to be something that could enter that barrier and go away, unbothered.
The note says that some people came to Gretien in the night, looking for Dirthamen’s wisdom. Apparently some of his hired mercenaries wanted to have his part in this just for the money. But the way in which this text is written, one has the impression that the scholar was suffering paranoia.
The next note is Explorers in the Temple (note on a vase), which implies that some hired mercenaries had been experiencing those whispers and Gretien had dismissed them. Here, another mercenary says that they had been working for months, so they are unwillingly to just leave, but they truly want to.
In another chamber we find a corpse around books. It’s hard to know if this could have been a recent explorer from the group of Gretien or a treasure hunter that came years ago, considering that the models DAI uses for dead bodies are always the same, no matter their race or time.
When accessing to the Sanctuary, on one of the sides, we find a body that triggers the last note Explorers in the Temple (human corpse), where the body seems to have been dead for about some months, his skin is dried and stretched over his bones [which is a very unnatural death and preservation of the body in such a moist ambient like this Temple, where water is everywhere]. He was stabbed in the back, meaning that he was killed when running away and his face has an expression of terror. As we will understand later, this mercenary was able to trigger the ritual and was killed by some of the demons, hence his face and the drained state of his body.
This implies that after a summoning, the parts of the High Priest return to their original pedestals by their own. Creepy.
The final note of the Explorers of the Temple is on the main desk at the centre of the ritual chamber. I will talk about it in the following section.

Mohg the omen
soft spoken sadist, narcissistic cult leader extraordinaire
Anybody wanna read my obsessive ramblings about a tragic asshole goat man thing?
Idk what it is about Mogh, but i can't help but image him as an intuitive and soft spoken omen child. Where Morgot was constantly craving the greater will and the golden order, mohg became disillusioned with the golden order.from a young age, this is mostly due to current voice actors' performance of him. Morgott voice has more 'presence' to it than Mohg's. Although we only ever hear morgot being scathing toward our tarnished so.
Another thing i noticed was the dichotomy of the Omen twins stat spread required to wield their weapons. Mohg's weapon requires moderate strength and arcane where morgot requires dexterity. Although Mohg becomes quite agile when he gets his wings. I like to think that Morgott took after Marika physically and Mohg after Godfrey, but, in terms of abilities the twin positions are reversed.
History
We know little about Mohg's childhood and adolescence save that it was spent in the shunning grounds. I find it interesting that players can find Mohg's shackle still in the shunning grounds, very likely where he was bound. I assume that once he broke free, he just left it, wanting to be as far from it as possible. Where did he go? Did he wander sewers, content with just being able to?
Physiology
I have been curious about the education and socialization of the Omen twins. As we can see, they are not feral and capable of reason. Morgott is well spoken and quite articulated to have been raised in a sewer. He is also stated to be a rather fair and effective ruler and statesman.
Mohg was knowledgeable enough to create his own school of blood magic as well as almost all blood related ashes of war. AND somehow commissioned all those blood order armaments and robes. It seems that the twins weren't simply abandoned in the shunning grounds and left to starve. Someone, maybe marika herself, made sure the twins were given some form of care and education.
https://csdt.org/culture/adinkra/ramshorns.html
https://animals.sandiegozoo.org/animals/spiral-horned-antelope
Mohg has to be the least omen looking omen to ever omen. It's hard to know if he always looked like that or if receiving his great rune changed his appearance similar to Morgott after his defeat. Some may believe that Mohg's pact with the Formless mother may have changed his appearance as well.
One thing that caught my attention was how much thiner mohg is compared to Morgott. While Mogh is larger, his wrist, ankles, and limbs seem the same size as morgotts. The man is built like a brick house, but I feel that if Morgot was the same height, he would be the beefier of the two.
His horns are one of his most striking features to me. Compared to other omen we see, ik they're just reused assets, their horns grow wild and all over, without direction. Whereas Mohg's horns seem to grow primarily on his head with one growing on his left hand as a claw. His horns appear to grow almost neatly, curved, and coiled around one another.
From what I've read, horns grow curved due to the outer edge of the horn growing faster, but he grows around each other live vines or his beyond me. Mohg is the only omen we see whose horns grow on his chin like a goatee.
It's hard to know how much of Mohg's appearance was affected by his communion with the formless mother, but as far as omen go, he is quite singular. From his grayish black marbled skin and horns, as well as the fact that he has less horn growths all over his body compared to other omen, we see ingame, including his own brother.
Speaking his horns, look at how coiled and cultivated they appear. With other omen, their horns seen to grow randomly and uncontrollably jutting in every direction, Mohg's seem grow tangled and curled around each other, like vines or tree roots. His horns are neat, in their own chaotic way. Another unique aspect of Mohg's appearance is his lipless mouth and prominent fangs/tusks. We don't know if he ever had lips, but, once again, compared to other omen, he stands out.
Psychology
I have this theory that the omen "curse" responds to it's barers emotional-state/ perception of themselves or the curse. If you are treated and told from birth that you are cursed and you very existance causes suffering you would not think very kindly of yourself or your "curse". This, in turn, causes the curse to go out of control and horns to sprout uncontrollably.
But if the bearer were to have a more positive outlook about themselves or their curse, their horns would manifest more uniformly and less intrusively. Morgott is ashamed of his omen blood and has to actively trim is horns to be able to see properly whereas Mohg seemingly allowed one of his horns to grow back into his eye from pride in his omen features.
It's difficult to know to what extent Mohg's upbringing in the shunning grounds has affected his psyche, but considering how his order speaks of him and their dynasty, it can not be good.
Mohg's self-harm and blood-play are what drew the formless mother to him. She craves a wound after all. She chose him as her prophet and shared her blood with Mohg, causing his blood to burn like hers. We do not see the blood of other omen being flammable only the Regal Omen twins who may have communed with a blood obsessed outer god willing or not.
I would like to begin with Mohg's particular obsession with blood. One does not create an entire new school of incantations based around blood for it to be a passing interest. I noticed that Mohg's shackle is covered in blood, his or otherwise. Compared to morgotts, it is practically drenched. I have a sneaking suspicion that Mohg may have coped with his time in the shunning grounds by self-harming.
The same goes for Morgott, although his may have been more out of self-flagellation to recant his omen blood outside of himself. Similar to how Radahn learned gravity magics for his dear mount, I believe Mohg began developing blood incantations to sate his boredom of being bound to one spot for most of his life. All he had was himself. See the curse blood pot description. Replace beast blood with omen blood, or are omens categorized as beasts?
Next is Mohg's obsession with love that manifests in the way Varré tries to recruit the tarnished. Varré is the only member of the bloody finger faction that isn't immediately hostile to us at any given time, so we can't ask them why they follow. From what we know, most of Mohg's followers are bloodthirsty psychopaths who only care about doing violence on anyone they meet, and the whole 'aquiring blood for Miquella' is secondary.
He speaks highly of Mohg but randomly drops his love as being one of his positive attributes. It sounds like Varré is trying to sell Mohg to us as a person worthy of following/serving, but "love" is such a particular trait to judge his worthiness on. What does Mohg's love look like? How does he express it? How would the tarnished benefit from gaining Mohg's "love". It sounds like something Mohg instructed Varré to tell potential recruits because receiving love is a reason Mohg himself would join.
I speculate that spending most of his life sheltered in the shunning grounds left Mohg with a naiveté about the intent of others and his understanding of complex emotions like love or obsession. I feel like Mohg does not understand how much intimacy and trust are involved in having those emotions for another person. It's not something you demand from or force onto others. Love, affection, and intimacy are not conditional or transactional. Unfortunately, Mohg never learned this. He innocently and genuinely believes that beings who join his murder cult would care about his 'love' for it to factor into their willingness to follow him.
What's worse is what happens to those who don't willingly follow him. He abducts war surgeons to 'tame his blood', i.e., forceable give them a blood transfusion that quite possibly drives them insane if it fails, which it did most of the time. The non blood Albinaurics outside his mausoleum don't look too happy. Miquella's entire philosophy hinged upon noone being used by an outer god for it's own gain but look at him now, Mohg abducted him, as far as we know, and is trying to force Miquella to be a puppet god for the formless mother. If Mohg truly cared for Miquella, he would not be actively going against something Miquella cared deeply about.
It would be tragic if Mohg didn't look for love and acceptance in the worst possible way. Creating an order around ritualistic blood letting of the innocent and uninitiated filled with obsessive murderers and assassins does not a new world order make.
Servants of Blood
Even after the tarnished joins Mohgs dynasty, other members such as the sanguine nobles and blood albinaurics are still very much hostile to them. Either the tarnished, Varré included, are simply being used as pawns and are not considered legitimate members of Mohg order, or this order inspires no loyalty amongst its followers.
We do not know exactly what Mohg and Varré's dynamic is. Mohg abducted numerous war surgeons to try to "tame the accursed blood" with varre being the only one who could. The other surgeons are still alive and will invade the tarnished when able. So what happens to someone who can not tame the accursed blood? Do they go mad? Its hard to say if they were sain even before being abducted by Mohg.
The occupation of war surgeon may require one to empathetic to the plight of those under their care but might have only succeeded in attracting those who have no qualms with killing the injured and infirm. Who knows, but what we do know is that Mohg's bloody fingers are all violent murderers and most came into his service by way of trying to kill him.
Mohg is either an overt narcissist using people as props to validate himself and his dynasty or a deeply misguided individual looking for love and acceptance by any means necessary. He uses others to benefit himself and his goals. But as Mohg is using others for his own goals, he is being used by others. It is doubtful that the formless mother came to Mohg's aid out kindness like some elderich fairy godmother. Whatever her intent, Mohg is a means to an end.
Considering that Mohg's bloody fingers are not automatically given the rank of knight or noble makes me think that Mohg knows that they are at best useful to collect blood for his consort but not as a permanent member of his order. They are too blinded by their bloodlust to do much more than sate it.
Although it seems Eleonora was entrusted with the one item that neutralizes his nigh unavoidable bloodboon ritual but was that because he trusted her or because she killed anyone that got near and would be a good place to keep it. Did Mohg even know Eleonora had something like that on her person? Was that something she found and kept until she felt ready to actually slay mohg once and for all?
