I've been playing Dragon Age since it's initial release in 2009 with Origins. Yeah, that long. 15 years.
Never in my time did I experience a premise so good (mind link/bond + enemies to allies to...), and chemistry so believable (verbal quips?) as whatever it is that's happening between Rook and Solas.
Bioware really created a situation where it would make all the sense in the world that these two characters would romance it up... and then just said, nah, here have these mediocre alternatives for a romance instead.

Up to the middle of Act 2 now, and this has only been solidified for me.
All this chemistry.
Not only Solas should have been a romance option. Scrap all the other options. The entire game should've been about the progression of their relationship and their inevitable getting together.
PS: (SPOILER) Not me shipping Rook and Solas and reaching that scene of Rook with the Inquisitor. Given the option to sway her opinion whether or not she'd be willing to get back together with Solas?
I cackled. I'm still cackling about it.
Bioware, why would you give us the option to decide this, but not the option to have Rook get together with Solas?
Oh the irony.

Finished the game last night. Their scenes at the end of Act 2 and through act 3 were 馃挴馃憣
Some hella questionable direction and dialogue for a non-romancable ship.
