Zukka week 2023
Day 6: Royalty (& historical AU)
In a world Where the Fire Nations wins in the beginning with their conquest, but certaily found peace.
"After Prince Lu Ten's death, Prince Iroh grieved, but also did Azulon: Iroh can't have more children, so the succesion is doomed. If Prince Ozai is the next on the throne, they would start a new war, and Azulon is tired. Until a decision that makes Iroh When he secludes with his father in which they made an arragement:
1. Iroh steps down as Heir, but stays as his father side.
2. Ozai would not inhereted the throne.
3. That Prince Zuko, would be the next Fire Lord, with Iroh as his adviser and mentor.
So, since he is ten, Prince Zuko is the Heir of the entire Fire Nation, their colonies and allies.
That ripped this family in two factions: the one Who supported Prince Ozai's claim (and also Princess Azula) as Fire Lord, for their power as firebenders and their supremacy.
They were called "The Golds".
The one Who supported the Heir Prince Zuko’s true claim, were Prince Iroh, Princess Ursa, and Fire Lord Azulon himself. They thought the Young Prince, even if he wasn't a prodigy, was a very skilled swordman, has a better understanding of the other nations, and was very kind hearted and loved by the common.
They were called "The Reds".
Between The loyalist of the Red Prince, There was a Southern Water Tribe boy, Who studied with Master Piandao, at the same time as do the Prince. They become very close friends, until they grow up.
Some would say, that they were more than that.
Until the day The Golds usurped the throne after Azulon's death, and Prince Iroh was missed in one of his diplomatics Journeys. That left the young Heir of seventeen as a fool.
The day he, his Mother and Some companion, make an honorary funeral for his grandsire, the warrior Sokka (with his Sister, Lady Katara ) came with something: the Fire Crown, and, at the dawn of that tragic day, Prince Zuko became Fire Lord Zuko.
A civil war started. Brother against Sister. Son against father.
But then the Avatar wakes up, and with that, the times runs out. The first one to keep him on their side, would won the war.
And The Dance of Dragons begun. "
-"The Red Dragon and the Avatar" by 'The Cabbage Man'
Well, I can say that the "historical" part it's based in "Fire and Blood" event called "Dance of Dragons". I'm in my "House of the dragon" phase, and I couldn't stop it. The idea came to me as a revelation, and more ideas come. I would really like to write a fic.
I hope you liked it!!! ❤️💎👑

Aang: Protector Aasimar, Monk/Druid
Protector aasimar are charged by the powers of good to guard the weak, to strike at evil wherever it arises, and to stand vigilant against the darkness. From a young age, a protector aasimar receives advice and directives that urge to stand against evil.
Katara and Sokka: Sea Elves, Druid/Monk and Rogue/Fighter
Sea elves fell in love with the wild beauty of the ocean in the earliest days of the multiverse. While other elves traveled from realm to realm, sea elves navigated the currents and explored the waters of many worlds.
Suki: Hill Dwarf, Monk/Fighter
Most dwarves are lawful, believing firmly in the benefits of a well-ordered society. They tend toward good as well, with a strong sense of fair play and a belief that everyone deserves to share in the benefits of a just order.
Toph: Stout Halfling, Druid/Monk
Others form nomadic bands that travel constantly, lured by the open road and the wide horizon to discover the wonders of new lands and peoples. ...they are loyal to their friends, whether halfling or otherwise. They can display remarkable ferocity when their friends, families, or communities are threatened.
Zuko and Azula: Red Dragonborn, Fighter/Sorcerer and Rogue/Sorcerer
Born of dragons, as their name proclaims, the dragonborn walk proudly through a world that greets them with fearful incomprehension. Some dragonborn are faithful servants to true dragons, others form the ranks of soldiers in great wars, and still others find themselves adrift, with no clear calling in life.
Mai: Shadar-Kai, Rogue/Fighter
Shadar-kai are the elves of the Shadowfell, originally drawn to that dread realm by the Raven Queen. Over the centuries, some of them have continued to serve her, while others have ventured into the Material Plane to forge their own destinies. Once shadar-kai were Fey like the rest of their elven kin; now they exist in a state between life and death, thanks to being transformed by the Shadowfell’s grim energy.
Ty Lee: Tabaxi, Monk
Ultimate travelers, the inquisitive tabaxi rarely stay in one place for long. Their innate nature pushes them to leave no secrets uncovered, no treasures or legends lost.

Don’t Care
Pairing: Team Avatar & GN Reader Warnings: Death Mention & S2 Spoilers Word Count: 1,031 Summary: After joining Team Avatar, you have a hard time getting on the good side of a certain boomerang loving Water Tribe boy.
-Navigation- | -Atla Masterlist-
Sokka did not like you.
He made that very clear from the moment you joined ‘Team Avatar’.
You couldn’t really blame him, seeing as you joined Prince Zuko in his journey to hunt down Aang for the past year. As much as you disliked doing it, your loyalties have always lied with Zuko. When you were a child, despite the fact your father was named a traitor to the Fire Nation, Fire Lord Azulon saw promise in you and allowed you to stay. You stayed at the royal palace and trained alongside the young Prince and Princess. Though you were young, you were established as a sort of bodyguard to the siblings.
When Zuko was banished, you were told to go with him. Less so because of your protector status and more so of the fact Ozai just didn’t like you being around at all. You liked to think it was because he felt threatened by a child, but you were unaware of the true reason. Then when Azula took on hunting down the Avatar, she recruited you to help her rather than help her brother. You had no right to say no, seeing as your loyalties were also meant to stand with her.
Long story short- but not really -you’ve caused a lot of problems for the rag tag group of kids.
It was really quite the surprise when Toph and Katara vouched for you at Sokka’s refusal to let you come with them after the situation in Ba Sing Se. Toph used her… interesting sense to tell the truth to vouch you were a genuine person when you said you wanted to help, and Katara noted how you tried to stop Azula from killing Aang. He wasn’t happy about it, but he didn’t stop you from climbing atop Appa with them, nor did he try to throw you off the bison. Which you had been pretty sure he was going to do.
You were thankful he didn’t.
It didn’t take long for you to become friends with Toph after joining the team. She seemed to be pretty understanding of you, and didn’t have anywhere near the same problems with you Katara and Sokka did. She could sympathize with the fact that you never felt like you could be yourself because of where you lived, how you were raised. Apparently she’d been the same. It was nice to know there was someone else who understood. “Going against them to help us, even though you’d always been told to be loyal to them- Was pretty cool of you.” The young earthbender punched you in the arm shortly after speaking and quickly added, “If you ever tell anyone I said that, I’ll bury you once we get off this boat.”
Getting along with Katara took a little longer, however. “Just because I vouched for you, doesn’t mean I like you.” The waterbender had commented one day, when you told her good morning. “That’s fair.” She seemed to be shocked but how much you didn’t care, you guess it surprised her that you didn’t really mind if they didn’t like you. When she questioned you about it one day, you’d shrugged your shoulders. “I figured you guys would treat me worse.” Was all you offered. Something about that sentence made her feel bad about you it seemed, and once she’d forgiven you for the pretty terrible things you did, the two of you became fast friends.
Sokka on the other hand, just wouldn’t budge. He was extremely stubborn on the matter. Whenever you greeted him in the mornings, you were met with silence. It was obvious he didn’t have any interest in talking to you, so after a little while you eventually gave up on it. You decided to wait until he came to you, if ever. You kind of doubted he would but, there was no point in trying to force it. It caught you off guard, when he leaned against the boat railing next to you, after everyone hijacked one of the Fire Nation’s ships. “Thanks.” Was all he said, after a long moment of silence, before leaving again. You weren’t entirely sure what he was thanking you for, but you’d take it. It wasn’t a lot, but it was still improvement.
After Aang woke up, saying he was shocked to see you there was an understatement. If not for his injuries, he would have attacked you. He’d been pretty quick to accept you onto the team after the others explained things to him. At one point you offered to teach him firebending, knowing he had to learn, but he’d turned you away. “I hurt Katara the first time I tried to firebend… I promised myself I’d never learn. I don’t want to hurt anyone again.” You’d nodded in understanding. “Let me know if you ever change your mind, kid.” He thought it was funny that you called him kid, when you’re only a few years older than him. Two, to be exact.
Safe to say, excluding Sokka, you got along pretty well with Team Avatar. You found quickly they were much better to hang out with than Zuko and Azula- No offense to the Prince. Even if you didn’t particularly approve of his decisions, he was still your best friend.
One night, in the Fire Nation cave the group currently inhabited, you’d sat by yourself off to the side. Even if most of them we’re fine with you, part of you felt like you still didn’t belong. Probably the part of you that wished Sokka wouldn’t hate you so much. “Are you going to come eat with us, or mope over here all night?” Speak of the devil, and he will appear. You looked up at Sokka in shock, as he held a hand out to help you up. You’d honestly thought he would pull his hand away at the last moment, pulling some kind of prank on you, but he didn’t. He actually grasped onto your hand and pulled you off the ground. You didn’t know what made him change his mind about you, but as you sat down between him and Aang, you decided you didn’t really care.

Could you possibly sort the Avatar: The Last Airbender/ Legend of Korra characters?
Of course we can! We’re going to do Legend of Korra in a different post though so that this one doesn’t get too lengthy. Enjoy! (And no, we did not sort people based on their clothing colors, they just happened to match up that way.)
Aang: Hufflepuff
Aang is is as loyal and kind as they come. He supports his friends with his life, and becomes very distraught when something happens to them (like Appa being kidnapped). Aang is fair and thoughtful, just like most Hufflepuffs. He wants what’s best for everyone, not just himself. He wants everyone to be happy and alive, even his enemies, and often struggles with killing or hurting them badly. Being an airbender, Aang is also very patient, which is another Hufflepuff trait. Where other members of the group tend to rush into things headfirst or are unwilling to wait, Aang is careful and willing to take his time. He understand the importance of waiting and never rushes into things headfirst. Because of this, Aang could only ever be a Hufflepuff!
Katara: Slytherin
Cunning. Resourceful. Ambitious. These are all traits Katara has. She wants to be respected, and will demand it of anyone she comes across who fails to recognize her as the powerful woman she is. At first her loyalty to Aang only comes because she wants a ride to the north pole; she has no intention of joining his crusade to save the world. However, things change, and Katara finds the hero inside of her that she didn’t know was there. She finds her way around the patriarichal institutions that may attempt to limit her, proving she is no ones wife or mother. She is a force to be reckoned with. True to Slytherin form, Katara forms fierce loyalties with those she cares for, and they will never be without a fierce protector on their side.
Sokka: Ravenclaw
While he tries his best to be a brave warrior, Sokka is a thinker at heart. He is the one with the plan on the team; his logical ways often mean he has to apply reason to nearly every situation instead of simply accepting things as beyond the human grasp. Sokka seeks to understand as much as he can, even if he’s unaware he’s doing it. Sokka has also displayed a depth and wisdom that surpasses his years despite his more immature moments, and his eccentric ways mean that he is likely to be accepting of everyone. There is no other house that Sokka could be than Ravenclaw.
Toph: Slytherin
Toph’s main goal is seizing her own independence, and she is willing to sacrifice her family’s love, wealth, and comforts to do so. She also shows great resourcefulness and pride, and is slow to trust and rely on other people. She may be a little less flexible than many other Slytherins, but she has all of the drive, determination, and focus on her friends and herself vs. the world. Toph is a Slytherin with a spirit so strong and fixed that no one on earth can keep her from her ambitions.
Suki: Gryffindor
Suki is a warrior, through and through. She believes in the nobility of bravery, something that is established our first time meeting her. It is unwise of anyone to doubt her, and Suki will quickly establish her technical prowess on the battle field. She wants to do what is right, and will quickly rush into danger if she believes she is serving a greater good. She is certainly a Gryffindor to the core.
Zuko: Gryffindor
Zuko is a hot-headed firebender. He attacks first and asks questions later. This tends to be a Gryffindor trait, as many (though not all) Gryffindors tend to be a little more headstrong than others. Zuko is also incredibly brave. He joins up with a group of people who hate him, even though he doesn’t know how they’ll react and it goes against his nation’s wishes. He also sacrifices himself for Katara in his final battle against Azula. Though he didn’t die and later went on to become the new Firelord, this was an incredibly courageous thing to do. Just as it was incredibly brave to stand up to his sister after everything she had done. Because of this, Zuko is clearly a Gryffindor!
Azula: Slytherin
Like many Slytherins, Azula is quite ambitious. She wants power, and she will do anything to get it, even if it means hurting her family or friends. She’s cunning and clever, creating elaborate plans to get what she wants and mastering firebending much earlier than her brother. She also believes heavily in self-preservation. She puts herself before others and doesn’t really care what happens to them as long as she gets what she wants. Azula is an incredibly complex and realistic villain, and there is no other house that she could be than Slytherin!
Hope you like it!

Avatar: The Last Airbender | Sokka [ENTP] [6w5]
Loyal | Cautious | Skeptical | Cynical (x)
ENTPs are inspired innovators, motivated to find new solutions to intellectually challenging problems. They are curious and clever, and seek to comprehend the people, systems, and principles that surround them. Open-minded and unconventional, ENTPs want to analyze, understand, and influence other people. (x)
Ne [Extroverted Intuition]: Sokka is known as the “idea guy” of the group (“The Drill”) as he is able to devise a plan for seemingly any situation. He is quickly able to figure out that “darkest day in Fire Nation history” was during the solar eclipse (“The Library”), although his ability to make rapid connections between concepts sometimes has a downside, causing him to jump to ridiculous conclusions, such as when he fears that Appa ate Momo (“The Phoenix King”). He can be indecisive, debating with himself for several minutes whether he should buy a bag that he wants, but which is expensive (“The Blind Bandit”), as well as second-guess himself: “If I had just cut my losses at the invasion, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess” (“The Boiling Rock, Part I”). He is quick to change his opinion about things, such as when he realizes that girls can be warriors too after meeting Suki (“The Warriors of Kyoshi”). Sokka also has a playful and creative side; he loves creating silly nicknames for everything, is able to come up with haikus on the spot and off the top of his head (“The Tales of Ba Sing Se”), and serves as the comic relief of the group thanks to his clever remarks.
Ti [Introverted Thinking]: “Giant light beams, flying bison, airbenders... I think I've got Midnight Sun Madness. I'm going home to where stuff makes sense” (“The Boy in the Iceberg”). Sokka values logic above most other things and is reluctant to believe anything based in superstition. He is constantly questioning everything and is extremely frustrated by the people who rely on a fortuneteller to dictate their lives as he can easily “prove Aunt Wu’s predictions are nonsense” through logical reasoning, which leads to one of the townspeople calling him “Mr. Science and Reason Lover” (“The Fortuneteller”). He can’t always understand Katara and Aang’s feeling-based decisions, telling Aang: “Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Let’s bring the guy who is constantly trying to kill us” (“The Siege of the North, Part II”). Unlike Aang, Sokka would be willing to allow Zuko to freeze to death because in his eyes, Zuko is the bad guy and bringing him along would only cause problems. Sokka is also highly fascinated by how things works, taking an interest in all of the mechanist’s inventions at the Northern Air Temple (“The Northern Air Temple”). Sokka is excellent at coming up with inventive solutions to problems, deducing how the hot air balloon works despite just having recently learned about it (“The Northern Air Temple”).
Fe [Extroverted Feeling]: Sokka is typically very expressive with his emotions; it is easy to tell if he likes or dislikes something: his anger at the fortuneteller and the people who blindly believe her (“The Fortuneteller”), his booing of Toph and Aang and cheering on of The Boulder (“The Blind Bandit”), and his excitement at his on-stage portrayal at the play (“The Ember Island Players”), to name a few. His feelings occasionally do betray him and he can fall victim to emotional manipulation, such as when Azula taunts him about Suki during the invasion, causing the team to get caught up and waste time (“The Eclipse”). Sokka has something of an ego, but he can also be insecure about his own abilities. He fears that he is less worthy than the rest of the Gaang because he can’t bend and needs reassurance that he is valued (“Sokka’s Master”). He has a need to follow in his father’s footsteps, to live up to his expectations and make him proud by keeping his promise to him to protect Katara and the Southern Water Tribe (“The Avatar Returns”, “The Invasion”). Sokka tends to value the group consensus more than any personal ethics; despite his personal distrust of Zuko, Sokka is willing to allow him to join to group so long as Aang agrees (“The Western Air Temple”).
Si [Introverted Sensing]: At times, Sokka can be stubborn and closed-minded. It takes a while for him to change his opinion of Aang, whom Sokka sees as intervening in his responsibilities as the protector of the Southern Water Tribe (“The Avatar Returns”), and of Zuko, who in the past had attacked him and his friends (“The Western Air Temple”). Throughout most of the show, Sokka holds a long-standing grudge against all things Fire Nation and firebending because of what the Fire Nation did to his family and how they terrorized the Southern Water Tribe. Sokka’s plans don’t always quite work out the way he would like them to because he tends to overlook details that undermine them.
Enneagram [6w5]: Sokka’s practical and dependable side comes out primarily through his enneagram. He is often the one responsible enough to convince the Gaang to stay focused so that Aang can master all four elements in time, suggesting that they don’t waste time helping a single village (“The Painted Lady”) and telling the group: “This is great and all, but don't we have more important things to worry about? We should be making plans” (“The Library”). Sokka is also paranoid and skeptical of practically everything, to the point of being mistrustful of birds in the Fire Nation: “We’re in Fire Nation territory. Those are enemy birds!” (“The Headband”). He is frequently frustrated by Katara’s blind optimism, which clashes with his realistic/pessimistic approach to things. In addition, Sokka is extremely loyal to his family and tribe; he trains as a warrior to protect them and to prevent his home from ever being attacked again, essentially trying to become an authority because he doesn’t trust anyone else to do the job.
✘✘✘ I’ve seen Sokka typed as an ENTJ, but he is far too indecisive and flexible to be a dominant Te and auxiliary Ni user. The only time that he really shows anything resembling Te is in “The Painted Lady,” in which it is said that he has apparently scheduled every single aspect of the Gaang’s lives. However, I think this is an inconsistency on the part of the writers as Sokka is typically much more easygoing and is willing to allow time for fun detours, and the whole control freak thing is never again mentioned before or after that episode. I believe his tendency toward planning and his occasional practicality is far more likely a result of his 6w5 enneagram. What could be seen as Te is probably a combination of inferior Si + 6w5, which is also why Sokka can at times resemble an xxSJ.
