What Is House Washing?
The exterior of your house is the first thing visitors, neighbors and prospective buyers see. It is important to make a great impression, and keep your home in good condition. Dirty house walls, driveways and patios not only look bad, they can cause damage to the surfaces.
House washing Melbourne is the process of cleaning the exterior surfaces of a structure with low to moderate water pressure, specialized detergents and algaecides. The algaecides are typically derived from sodium hypochlorite, with different strengths or mixture ratios depending on the surface material being cleaned: Hardie siding, brick and stucco may require a lower mix ratio (1% to 3% SH) than vinyl siding.
This is a job best left to professionals who have the right equipment and experience. Improper washing can lead to costly problems such as pencil striping, flash oxidation and damaged door and window seals.
Using the right mix ratio and dwell times is key. Professionals also use specialized chemical cleaners that are safe for painted surfaces and vegetation.
Soft Wash cleaning can be used on many exterior surface materials and is especially helpful for those with pressure-sensitive surfaces such as weatherboards, render and concrete. It is also ideal for those hard to reach areas such as eaves, garden walls, pergolas and garage doors.
A house cleaner can be hired to clean your entire house or just specific rooms and areas like the kitchen or bathrooms. It is important to communicate with the cleaner what you want them to do so that there are no surprises when it comes time to pay the bill. It is not uncommon for a cleaner to ask you for a tip of 10% to 15% of the total cleaning fee. This is a standard practice for high quality services.
The cost of hiring a house cleaner can vary considerably from one company to the next. Several factors determine the price of house cleaning in Melbourne, including the size and location of your home. To get a precise estimate, consult with a local house cleaner in your area. I got a piercing and the aftercare paper specifically stated not to use Claire's Aftercare Solution and I got curious. What the fuck is wrong with Claire's.
This is straight from their website.
First fucking red flag: 3 weeks for a lobe piercing and 8 weeks for a cartilage piercing. Umm, what?!?! Lobes take a *minimum* of 4 weeks to heal, so fancy solution will change how long it takes for a wound to heal thay drastically. And don't get me started on the cartilage piercing. 8 weeks?! Really?! That takes a minimum of 4 MONTHS to heal. That's 16 weeks *at the shortest*. They are straight up fucking lying about what this product can do.
Second red flag: the ingredients list. Do you know what sodium hypochlorite is? It's bleach. I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty confident in saying that putting bleach in an open wound will not help the healing process
Third red flag: why does it have an expiration date? And why is that date only 90 days after opening, especially when you recommending this for cartilage peircings, which, may I reiterate, take 4 months or roughly 120 days MINIMUM to heal? Also, what happens after that date? Is it no longer an effective bleach or will it actively harm you like spoiled milk?
Fourth red flag: its not in the picture, but the price on the website said $20 for a cleaning spray that may not actually last through your healing time. My actual cleaning solution was only $10 with only 2oz less and it doesn't bleach my ear or expire
Now I am no lawyer, doctor, or piercer, but I feel like they should be held liable for this shit. They are actually causing harm to children's ears and for what? Profit? Maybe I'm just a radical leftist but that profit margin doesn't seem worth it to me

May I ask, are you worried about the corona virus? I'm not sure how to feel about it, I mean I'm worried about it. I mean I'm confident that there is a solution for this pandemic on the other I worry for the people with a weak immune system and or the elderly (I mean I have confidence in our medical care but well I worry that maybe it might get overwhelmed with the situation) I hope I do not sound fearmongering (which I do not intend) I just wonder how this will go on.
I don’t know.
The virus’ main concern is that it spreads crazy fast, and it has a very long incubation period - just yesterday it started spreading in Sicily from Lombardy because a woman went on a holiday without knowing she was infected, way before they started putting people from Lombardy in quarantine. The symptoms sound so random and unclear we don’t know what to look for, sometimes you have no symptoms whatsoever, other times you may catch pneumonia. We don’t know who was the patient zero yet, and at this point, is it even worth looking for them?
My region is still virus-free, and it’s very far away from Lombardy and Veneto, where everything started. If it comes here and I catch it, I’d probably be one of the lucky ones. My mother, on the other hand, suffers from asthma (so she is one of the people with the biggest risk of developing serious symptoms), and she is extremely concerned, to the point I actually feel it’s unhealthy for her.
And this is another issue: the general panic. Everyday, we hear about the chaos that’s happening up North, everything getting cancelled or postponed, empty supermarkets, 112 and 118 (the numbers of sanitary emergency) being constantly called... We’re the third country in the world with the highest number of cases, and people are split about how efficient the goverment is being: some say the reason we know there are so many cases is because they’re making thorough checks and not hiding anything, others blame the inefficient sanitary system and the superficial controls in the hospitals and the airports... The PM is trying his best to reassure the population, but the media are showing apocalyptic scenarios, and who are you going to believe, the people who say “everything is under control” or the ones who say “PROTECT YOURSELF BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE”?
And then you add the assholes who straight up run away from the quarantine to go to their birthplace or near the sea. Yeah, it happened.
So in short
1) the virus spreads at an alarming rate - the main issue here
2) the symptoms may vary but the disease is serious if you’re over 65, have heart complications, respiratory complications, cancer or diabetes - anything that can lower your immune system. If you don’t have any of these problems, it looks pretty much like a normal flu, and some people get better on their own. There are also many cases of people with no symptoms whatsoever, which is good for you but not so good for the ones around you.
3) nobody knows if surgical masks are really useful. People are buying them just in case, and on Amazon they’re being sold for outrageous prices, along with sodium hypochlorite (better known here as Amuchina). In doubt, just do what you would normally do to avoid catching a cold or the flu.
4) supermarkets are being emptied like we’re in the middle of a war. While understandable in the “red zones”, there really is no point in zones that haven’t been infected yet, but people still do it anyway because “just in case”, regardless of the issues they cause to other people.
5) a vaccine is being developed in China. While I don’t know when it will be ready, it’s still something to look for.

Get Real Time Prices for Sodium Hypochlorite: https://www.chemanalyst.com/Pricing-data/sodium-hypochlorite-1560
Sodium hypochlorite prices are also influenced by the costs associated with production and transportation. The manufacturing process for sodium hypochlorite involves combining chlorine gas with a sodium hydroxide solution, which results in the formation of sodium hypochlorite. The efficiency of this process, the scale of production, and the cost of operating manufacturing plants can all play a role in determining the final price of the product. Additionally, sodium hypochlorite is a relatively unstable compound, meaning that it needs to be transported and stored under specific conditions to prevent degradation. This requirement adds to the logistics costs, particularly for long-distance transportation or export markets. Any disruptions in transportation, such as port delays, shortages of shipping containers, or increases in fuel costs, can contribute to price increases.
Seasonal variations also affect sodium hypochlorite prices, particularly in industries that rely heavily on its use for specific applications. For instance, the water treatment industry tends to see a rise in demand for sodium hypochlorite during the warmer months when more water is required for agricultural irrigation and public consumption. In contrast, during colder months, demand may decrease slightly, leading to a softening in prices. Similarly, the textile and paper industries, which use sodium hypochlorite as a bleaching agent, may experience cyclical demand patterns based on production schedules, market conditions, and consumer preferences. These seasonal fluctuations contribute to the overall price trends of sodium hypochlorite throughout the year.
Environmental regulations and compliance costs also have a notable impact on sodium hypochlorite prices. Because it is a chemical compound that can be hazardous to both human health and the environment if mishandled, the production and use of sodium hypochlorite are subject to strict regulatory controls. Manufacturers must adhere to safety standards in the handling, storage, and disposal of sodium hypochlorite, which can increase operational costs. Compliance with environmental regulations, such as reducing emissions or managing wastewater, can further add to production costs. These additional expenses are often passed on to the consumer, contributing to higher prices for sodium hypochlorite in regulated markets.
Global trade dynamics also play a key role in shaping sodium hypochlorite prices. Export and import tariffs, trade agreements, and fluctuations in currency exchange rates can all influence the cost of sodium hypochlorite in different regions. Countries that import significant quantities of sodium hypochlorite may face higher prices due to tariffs or unfavorable exchange rates, while exporters may benefit from lower production costs and increased demand in foreign markets. Additionally, changes in international trade policies or disruptions in global supply chains, such as those caused by political instability or natural disasters, can lead to price fluctuations in both domestic and international markets.
Technological advancements and innovations in the production process can also impact sodium hypochlorite prices. Manufacturers that invest in more efficient production methods or develop new technologies for producing sodium hypochlorite at a lower cost may be able to offer the product at a more competitive price. Conversely, companies that lag behind in adopting new technologies may find themselves at a disadvantage, facing higher production costs that are reflected in their pricing. As the industry continues to evolve, advancements in automation, energy efficiency, and chemical processing are likely to play an increasingly important role in determining the cost structure of sodium hypochlorite production.
In summary, sodium hypochlorite prices are influenced by a complex interplay of factors, including the cost of raw materials, energy prices, demand from various industries, production and transportation costs, seasonal demand fluctuations, regulatory compliance expenses, global trade dynamics, and technological advancements. These factors combine to create a dynamic pricing environment in which sodium hypochlorite prices can vary significantly over time and across different regions. Companies that rely on sodium hypochlorite for their operations must carefully monitor these variables to ensure they can manage costs effectively and remain competitive in their respective markets. Additionally, consumers should be aware of these influences, as fluctuations in sodium hypochlorite prices can have a direct impact on the cost of household products, water treatment services, and industrial processes that depend on this versatile chemical compound.

When Should You Have Your Roof Cleaned?
Having your roof cleaned is not only an effective way to keep your roof in top shape, but it can also increase the lifespan of the roof. It removes oxidation on metal roofs and moss, lichen, and mildew. Cleaning the roof will also prevent insects from forming their habitats.
Pressure washing vs soft washing
When it comes to cleaning the exterior of your home, pressure washing and soft washing are both great options. But what are the differences between the two?
Soft washing is a type of power washing that utilizes low-pressure water to clean your home. It is a safe, less-expensive, and more effective option for cleaning surfaces.
Pressure washing involves a high-pressure pump that pushes water through a hose and nozzle. Using this technique can strip away layers of dirt and loose materials. However, it can also damage soft surfaces and lead to erosion.
Soft washing uses a chemical solution to remove contaminants without damaging the surface. For instance, it can help prevent rot and discoloration on roofs. The process also leaves the surface a bit smoother.
Signs that your roof needs cleaning
If you want to keep your roof looking its best, you may be wondering when to clean it. There are several different signs that it is time to take care of your roof.
First, consider the shingles. Most roofing materials last for about fifteen to thirty years. You should have your roof cleaned by a professional at least once a year. The purpose of roof cleaning is to remove dirt, debris, and other material from underneath the shingles. Having a clean roof means peace of mind.
Another sign is when your gutters become clogged. Clogged gutters can lead to moisture problems and mold. Moisture can lead to rot in your roof structure, resulting in expensive repairs.
You should also check your vents. Moss and algae can form on your roof. This can cause your shingles to blow off in storms. They can even weaken your wood beams.
Cost of roof cleaning
The cost of roof cleaning can vary a lot. One factor that determines the cost is the size and complexity of the roof. It is also important to consider the climate. If you live in an area that receives a lot of rain, you may need to have your roof cleaned more often.
Costs will also vary by location and roof material. Typically, concrete roofs are cheaper to clean than terracotta tiles. Roofs that have a lot of algae or moss will also require more time and effort.
Choosing the right professional will also help to reduce costs. The company should be able to offer you discounts or a package deal. However, prices can go up when there are special requests. Some companies will charge extra for removing moss or algae.
ARMA’s recommendations
The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) recommends using a bleach based cleaning solution to keep your roof clean and free of algae. Algae grows on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. ARMA’s recommended ratio for the bleach is a 50/50 blend of household strength sodium hypochlorite and water. You can also use an abrasive surface treatment like sodium percarbonate or even a homemade solution.
ARMA recommends against the use of a pressure washer to clean your roof. While most pressure washers start at 500 Psi, this is too much for roofs. Using a pressure washer to remove moss and algae from your roof can cause more damage to your roof. A non-abrasive, safe way to remove moss and algae is to clear the debris off your roof with a leaf blower.
