I finally finished the first year. In all honesty, it was a long year despite the fact that the year was actually relatively short ^^’ And it looks like I am finally getting married.

I feel like for a game who made it clear that marriage is an requirement and not and option, there is something REALLY wrong about not even having a wedding ceremonie to look at. They could have done that better, especially since this is a remake and we had wedding-ceremonies in past games as well.

Well I guess you could count that as some sort of wedding-ceremony. But it could really have been better.

Its nice that we have a choice here.

Once again, it is kind of sad that we skip all the fun here.

I do like Takakura as narrator. He sounds so gentle.

Since when do we have a doctor? O.O And why is he living in this house? Wasn’t that Ninas and her housbands house?

W-What kind of monster-plant is this? O.O

Alright, this is cute.

So... the first year is over and overall I sadly still say the game is relatively boring. It seems hard to imagine I have to go through multiple more in-game-years to finish the game, because its soooooo boring since there is just nothing else to do in this game but living the farmer-life if you get me XD Its too realistic, if you want to put it like that. Which makes it... not as entertaining, because there is hardly any overall goal then getting through the game somewhat successfully.

I do absolutely dislike the clothing choices by the way. Lately they kick out any feminine looking clothes of games it seems. I get that this is a farming game and I can not exactly run around in a fancy dress, but something a bit more ladylike would have been nice.

Also... money is still an issue? Like, I have more then enough per se, but to buy any new buildings or upgrade any builders? Nope, still not enough! Everything is too expensive.

Also... I can not fully grasp how the hybrid-plant-thingy works just yet. But I just got it today... so... whatever...

Ninas death was so... I don’t know but I wish they would have said something about it instead of putting the doctor into their house, make her husband slightly grumpier and put her grave somewhere. I think if you do a timeskip and narrate a bit, you should narrate stuff like that as well. (Also, as she liked flowers, you should have been able to put flowers on her grave...)

By the by... who is taking care of my toddler child when I am out there in the city and my husband is working on his sisters farmland and Takakura is also in the city? My dog? My Cows? My Chicken? ^^’ And there goes the realismen XD

The thing with this game is... I like many aspects of it and I would love for them to add them to newer games, but its also lacking far too much, especially compared to the newer games and I do not understand why, when they do make a remake of such an old game, they didn’t try to make it more entertaining, give you a bigger goal in the meantime while time passes and also gave you more to do?

My first and certanly last Baby-Cow! (Did you know that in the original game, the Cows had to give brith on a regular basis or otherwise they wouldn’t give milk abymore? Well, now they only give you an extra-amount of milk for a few days after giving birth, which hardly makes up for the days were you don’t get any milk at all because of the pregnancy. So no, it is not worth it. But the Baby-Cow is cute nothing then less XD

Die Festivals in dem Spiel sind wenig und langweilig, aber immerhin gibt es überhaupt welche, trotz der kurzen Jahreszeiten.

Still summer. This... really is a fast game I tell you.

Now would you look at that. He is embarrassed to ask her for a walk, even tho we are practically engaged. Very cute.

Uh... I do not think this is the best idea ^^’

I do like this game, even tho it has some flaws and would have benefitted from a few more changes in terms of gameplay and environment. But it makes you really tired, very easily do to its calm and... repeating nature. All in all you do the same things every day in relatively the same order. Its a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Amazing. I can not remember if I ever had a story of season/harvest moon game in which I actually managed to get a date on the first festival in the game. Not that this is thanks to my hard work, its actually because of the way the game works. But pssst! Let me enjoy this! XD

Guys its just summer, don’t rush me here by showing me the blue feather! I have only two hearts with Matthew right now...

After the first month you finally get some money so you finally start to do some things for your farm...

Overall the game is... uh... rather boring, so to speak ^^’ There is not much to do so far. Its not like I totally dislike it or anything. Its just... sometimes I could go to bed as early as noon, if it wasn’t for milking me cow twice a day, And after I’ve reached noon I am often bored, because there is nothing useful to do anymore. I do like the breeding and the fact that they game rushed you to get married. But the farming aspect is rather... slow and not very rewarding. And even tho I found it always stressful to get stones and wood and try to get diamonds and certain metals for tool-upgrades... at least that gave you something to do throughout the day that was more connected to farming then digging for fossils. The map isn’t very rewarding either. It isn’t very big. Not much to see, not much to collect. Its... a very “easy” variation of a farming game in a way.

Once again, its not like I dislike the game, it just gets boring very easily.
