HEADCANON TIME
Hi! Time for my headcanon shenanigans, featuring art to make it easier to digest lol
This headcanon is HEAVILY inspired by the lil electric zap smooch from Wall-E, and I wanted to share it with the fandom so here we go! It's a lot so it's gonna be buried under a read more so it doesn't swarm the dash lol
This electric jolt is something that occurs when two iterators that are close to one another just. Touch. For no particular reason or purpose, they just touch each other because they enjoy one another's company that much. While this could typically be seen within romantic pairings, this can also easily occur with friends and/or family that share a similar close bond!
The shock is enough to feel something similar to a small static shock, enough to surprise you without feeling hurt by anything.
The in general shocks aren't anything special, but they can have variety in regards to the following four categories: Magnetism, sound, lights, and shape. I shall provide some examples down below!
Magnetism
Starting with magnetism, this is a pull that draws iterators towards one another when they touch. It makes it harder for iterators to pull away from one another, whether out of draining the desire to part or functioning like an actual magnetic force between the two. Most sparks have some level of magnetism, but there are iterators who can have their sparks classified as 'high magnetism' as well
Iterators of note that fit that classification would be Five Pebbles and Chasing Wind
Sound
Sound is a very rare occurrence in these sparks, as the touch will often be accompanied by a sound such as a bell chime, or enhanced volume output of one's internal sensors or processes. This is not like the others on this list that come with variety, you either have this variation of spark or you don't. Because of this, you classify iterators with sound with simply sound and nothing else.
Iterators of note that fit that classification would be Looks to the Moon and Unparalleled Innocence
Lights
Lights are something that are entirely visible whenever this spark is occurring, with a variety on how bright or what color they can be. While most iterators have a default spark color of whitish-green that is barely visible, there is enough variety that this isn't a hard set rule for ALL iterators. However, iterators that have a bright or distinctively colored spark are still classified by their color.
Iterators of note that fit that classification would be Seven Red Suns and Sliver of Straw.
Shape
Iterator sparks tend to have very specific arc shapes, with little variation to be seen from iterator to iterator. Size more often than not fluctuates more, but shape changes are less likely to occur. The most common spark shape is a simple upwards arc of varying sizes. Most who have variations of spark shapes have them rather unique, enough so that they can be classified by shape entirely.
Iterator of note that fits that classification would be No Significant Harassment
That's it for the classifications! And, of course, because each iterator has a unique classification that is unique to them, these also result in unique combinations between two iterators who grow close to each other. I tried my best to express those possibilities through the art I drew as examples, as the limitless combinations are something that excite me!
Anyways! Hope yall enjoyed my silly little headcanon and cute art to go along with it!
