Nier genuinely was and to a large extent still is one of my favorite characters but I do think part of my obsession used to be bc I was trying to now think of 6 as much bc at the time I had a crew member and friend who was really into shipping him with 7 to an unavoidable extent that I was uncomfortable with but there was technically nothing wrong with so I was being quiet abt it for the longest time that I think I built up an unhealthy resentment over

#Like to begin with I was never a fan of siete to start with and 6 was very much what you guys would call a babygirl nowadays to me lol #And when I don’t like a ship it’s usually like well whatever they’re not real and it’s not actually incest or whatever I can just look away #But no matter but many word I censored things always slipped through that eventually I unfollowed without saying anything (on Twitter)#Probably because of poor mental state from like 2018-2020 I also handled things were than usual #Like I know it’s a stupid game first of all. And second of all no relationship is established #But I can still remember the way I interpreted his backstory being as six was an orphan since a young age and 7 being the one to bring him #Into the eternals. I always figured 7 being noticably older and moreso a parent figure. Like he found this traumatized kid covered in blood #And decided to take him in and care for him bc as much as I don’t care for him bc of his personality I can still admit he’s a good guy ykno #It seems like a thing he’s do #So like I always imagined the whole killing spree happened when six was like 6-8 probably and 7 found him shortly after #7 being mid to late teens probably but not quite an adult yet when they happened #Like looking back this was all obviously just headcanon but back then I literally couldn’t see how people could interpret it differently #It was that whole fandom brainrot mindset that got into me I fear bc the disgust was in the pseudo inc/st despite them literally not being #Related #part of 6’s story is that he was raised by our (mc’s) father after he (dad) abandoned us and that didn’t make me think #Of mc and 6 as siblings either so there was some unseen hypocrisy in there too #And then long after this all blew over and is in the past now we got another event in the game where #A new character (momdad. I cannot remember their name after the first 3 letters “oro” sorry) keeps messing with time trying to ‘fix’ someth #<-vague story summary for spoiler reasons #But in this event momdad raises both the mc AND 6 so in this version of events they really would have been adopted siblings #Which would bc no different that biological sibling as far as I’m concerned when it comes to pairing characters #Which I’m of the firm opinion that you Should Not Do That. Lmao #Well anyways none of these timelines ended up working out iirc so it’s not “canon”#But the fact that in another timeline (which they’ve revisited different timelines with cow zodiac since then too) muddles the water ykno #All to say who fucking cares it’s a gacha game idk why I thought so deeply of it to begin with #I. I know why but well. Bigger issues #Which. No easy solutions to real life but a silly game is just that. A game. Don’t take it so seriously #I bet this all sounds silly and maybe a bit disjointed but it feels nice to tell and just let go of in a sense #Not being kept as a personal secret anymore no matter how dumb #Maybe reveal how my brain works a bit to anybody who even bothers to read all of this
