A teensy bit of lore:

Rice has been doing this since long before he ever met any of the others, but he dragged them all into it too. While their job is to keep balance in the multiverse, and keep Rice feed with negativity, they all share the hobby of studying and recording AUs. And since the war is over with Rice's brother, they have permission to study the AUs in his territory too, as long as they don't cause any problems. But they are surprisingly well-behaved when studying a place, and usually stay out of sight.

mind can rarely crack his joints bc his bones are metal and whatever and usually run pretty smoothly. but on the rare occasion that he can crack them. it sounds like the entire house is being torn apart by fireworks and violent explosions. his back snaps like a godsamn whip and his neck cracks so hard it's a surprise he didn't break his own spine. every single joint in his body will pop louder than anyone in the house has ever yelled, without fail.

he'll always make sure to do this in direct vicinity of both heart and soul because as he rearranges his internal structures they will stare on in sheer, absolute horror, especially considering that once he's done, he just continues on with his task as if it never happened and as if every atom in his body hasn't been split in two

you ever just move your leg a little bit after sitting for a while and when you do something in your hip makes an Insanely loud snapping sound

#to clarify there is no pain #or really any physical sensation from it #just a Really loud click/snap #happens with other joints as well (shoulders knees elbows ankles wrists spine)#but the hips especially are SO loud #generally i only get a couple of the clicks a week #but there are a few days every so often when it happens more than normal and i have no idea why #like i move and half the joints in my body go *click crack snap pop*
