Papas and Pets

Papas I, II, III, IV

Summary: The types of pets the Papas would have and what kind of "animal dad" they'd be. (I was writing this while my cat was napping on me, he's very sweet 🥹)

Genres: Headcanons and fluff.

Warnings: Nothing other than tooth rotting fluff, all gifs are not mine

Primo

Bird dad.

It's pretty simple logic, he's out in the gardens a lot more after retiring from being Papa and where do you constantly see birds? In gardens.

He's also fond of animals that aren't quite domesticated like opossums or raccoons but absolutely adores birds.

Any bird works for him but he has a particular fondness of owls, he has one in his room that's allowed to fly around freely most of the time.

That same owl can be seen wherever he's allowed to take it, whether it be on his shoulder or flying around him in a room.

He prides himself in being able to tame wild birds since it seems he's the only one in the Ministry that can, he calls himself the bird whisperer.

He's also the one you go to if a bird accidentally flew into one of the rooms in the Ministry because he'll wait until the bird lands near him then picks it up like it's just a rock or something and bring it outside.

For those cultured out there, you know that scene in Shrek 2 where Snow White sends those birds to attack those tree guard dudes? If he had to, Primo would probably be able to do it too.

Secondo

Snake dad.

I feel like he's also kinda snake coded, the vast majority of people are afraid of him because he looks scary but then there's the few that love him to death (me) and see he's just a silly man.

He's known for scaring anyone that openly talks shit about him with one of his pet snakes, so most people keep their opinions on him in private.

The first snake he had was when he was younger and Primo freaked out a little after a snake hissed at him and Secondo just picked it up was like "I'm keeping him and his name will be Tommy."

And since then he's always had at least one pet snake around, he started naming them after fictional characters that were often associated with snakes, including naming one of them Slytherin.

He can and will make the "May I take your jacket, sir/ma'am?" joke when one of his snakes sheds their skin.

Let's his snake mostly free roam his room when he's in the room as well so if he thinks they might get stuck or hurt, he's there to prevent it from happening.

Terzo

Cat dad.

This man LOVES cats, and he will openly cry if he sees anything where a cat is hurt or in danger even if it's fictional.

His favorite are black cats, mostly because he's sad they aren't shown enough love and because they seem to be the nicest cats.

He's also tried finding almost completely wild cats to adopt because he finds them absolutely beautiful.

Both Sister Imperator and Nihil have found him walking relatively fast in the Ministry's hallways late at night holding his jacket closed and stopped to ask him what he was doing and every time, without fail, the cat he was trying to hide meowed.

If he wasn't living in the Ministry, he'd be the crazy cat lady down the road that would even feed the stray cats his house couldn't hold.

COVERED in cat hair and cat scratches/bites all the time, it's impossible for him to get rid of them.

He's the "I found this cat malnourished in a garbage dumpster and I brought him here and he's my baby now" cat dad.

Well, we can all guess what animal dad he is; Rat dad.

He used to be afraid of them but then he became fascinated with them and the rest is history.

Most people don't know about his pet rats so when they visit him in his office or room they get startled by them and maybe scream as Copia is just sitting at his desk/on his bed like "No! No! It's okay! It's okay!"

Similar to Terzo, he smuggled rats and would get caught by Sister Imperator every time.

Definitely gives his rats weird names like "Ratty Fatty" or some shit like that.

Also makes his rats fly when he wants to, but most of the time his rats will be napping somewhere on him.

Refers to his rats as his kids so when new Siblings of Sin join, they think he means actually children until they meet his rats.

Baby talks to his rats 24/7, and teaches his rats tricks when he's bored.

you let out a huff and pouted as you continued looking around, giving the all clear before advancing forward.

"this is kind of exhilarating."

"shhh." he remained quiet for a few seconds before moving forward, stunning the moving frames that were awake and on duty, watching to report to the headteacher.

"we're here." you announced, arriving to the girls bathroom.

After sending the bag down, he pulled you in front of the entrance to the chamber and you looked down "jump." he commanded.

"haha, very funny." he rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around your frame, taking him with you as he jumped into the opening.

you wanted to scream but you felt the air inside your lungs get knocked out as you fell to your doom.

tom cast a silent spell and you floated in the air for a bit before landing on the ground with an oomph.

"merlins balls, are you trying to kill me?"

"I wouldn't even need to try, if I were."

"you say, as you lead me to a basilisk." you got up and dusted yourself off "you know if I die, I'm haunting you first."

"I'm flattered." he replied dryly as he carried the sack along with him deeper into the chamber, coming upon another door in which he whispered the same thing earlier and you were allowed entrance.

"that's not fair, I want to speak parseltongue."

"shh, we don't want to alarm basi."

"awe, is that its name?"

"yes."

"yes."

he shushed you when you attempted to speak again and led you to the main chamber, the statue of salazar slytherin staring straight ahead and you marvelled at the sight.

"holy salazar-" the place, although ancient and musty, was still historical and impressive.

"I know, it's quite nice to stay here and have some alone time."

"can we do what we came here to do?"

"right."

tom cleared his throat and positioned his right hand into the air and started hissing in parseltongue yet again. the mouth of salazar started to open up and you could hear something move from within.

"stand behind me and close your eyes, [name]." you did as he told and made sure to hide yourself before his tall figure.

you could hear the sound of slithering, most likely the basilisks' and you gripped the back of toms' robes in nervousness.

after a lot of hisses later, tom had allowed you to open your eyes and before you was a gigantic snake, with her eyes closed being, pet by tom.

"isn't she beautiful?" tom asked.

"oh sweetheart, I think you'll find that your definition of beautiful and others définition vary greatly."

"don't make me command her to attack you."

"you wouldn't."

"are you sure about that?"

"fuck." you muttered.

you sat down on the rock that tom transfigured into a chair and watched as the basilisk slid towards him, tom was seated in the empty space beside you.

"do you think she'll let me pet her?"

"well, aren't you suicidal?"

"it'll be boring if I just sit here watching you converse with basi in a language I don't even understand." you crossed your arms.

tom shook his head stifling a chuckle and turned to basi whispering something to her, the basilisk rose slightly from her position and slithered closer to you.

"is she going to bite me?"

"no, you fool, she's allowing you to pet her."

"really?" you slowly let your hand travel towards the top of her bowed head, her scales were slightly harsh but you got used to them quickly and scratched at them. basi just relaxed ever so slightly making you gush with joy.

"did you see that, I think she likes me." you beamed at tom, a faint smile formed on his face and a look of adoration was spotted in his eyes.

"don't look at me like that, it's distracting."

"like what?"

"like I'm your whole world."

"maybe you are?"

"stop!"

"or what?"

"or.. I'll kiss you."

"wow, that's oh so very threatening."

During the secound year one of the Horcux end up in the hand of Ginny Weasley who was posses by the said Horcux to open the chamber of secret which the monster of the chamber of secret began attacking muggleborn, which Hermione Granger found out what the monster that was attacking was non other than the king of snakes, a basilisk.

At the beging of the year Violet and her two friends believed that Draco Malfoy was the Slythetin heir that they brew Polyjuice Potion,to enter the common room of the slytherin but it didn't took long for them to discover that Draco wasn't the slytherin heir. By then thry found out Violet that she's Parselmouth which allow her to speak to any kind of reptiles which all speak the language of snakes. Hyacinth Potter herself can speak to snakes it isn't because she's a Parselmouth but because she is a beastspeaker which allow her to talk to every animals not just reptiles. Newt Weasley also has this ability he inherited from his grandmother Cedella Weasley née Black.

It was Lucius Malfoy who gaved the Diary to Ginny not that anyone knows that until Violet destroy the horcux using one of the fangs of the basilisk. Violet thought for sirten that she would have died with the basilisk venom now inside her but luckly Dumbledore's  phoenix fawkes cried on her injured arm healing her of the venom but blood became corrupted because of basilisk venom inside her blood.

Hyacinth Potter and Newt Weasley were devested to find the death of the basilisk even though they know it's a dangerous creature and they wish they could have saved it but they know it's forbbiden to have a basilisk of their own so they couldn't really do anything.

They decided to Harvest basilisk for themself and sale it to the Goblins which earn themself both a fortune by salling the basilisk as old as that one with it's venom alone would have cost about a thousand Galleon. But they kept some basilisk hide for themself to make clothes that would always fit them no matter what.

4 years later later...

Hyacinth Potter and Newt Weasley decided to learn how to be a Magizoologist under Newt Scamander during their third year that they now offically have their Magizoology license that they have their own case to keep the animals they found or saved

Like the Occamy pair they saved which stay in Hyacinth's case they found them during the end of their 4 year during the triwizard tournament when Violet Potter's name came out of the Goblet if fire waa selected as one of Hogwarts Champion. The Griffindore friends of Violet turn against her when her name came out the one who never believe she even enter her name was Hyacinth and Newt.

At the end of the tournament Cedric Diggory the real Champion of Hogwarts end up dead and Violet said that the Dark Lord was back and not many people believed that dark lord's return. But Hyacinth and Newt belived Violet when she said the dark lord is back since even though they aren't close with Violet even they knows that Violet could never kill someone. Which most wizard and witches believed that Violet was the one who killed Cedric in order to make anyone believed the dark lord's return. 

But with the dark lord laying low, Violet and Dumbledore can't prove to everyone the return of the dark lord during fith year until nearing the end of that year when Violet and her friends end up going to Ministry of Magic for who knows what and she end up possess by the dark lord which the ministry of Magic cornelius fudge

Finally admit the dark lord is back when he saw him with his own eyes. And now it's their 6 year at Hogwarts where Violet and Dumbledore hunts the rest of Voldemort's horcux since the black has mostly destroy a few of his horcux already. But at the end of the year Albus Dumbledore was killed by Severus Snape during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. Which Violet Potter watch the headmaster died unable to do anything.

With Dumbledore's death the dark lord and his death eater took their chance to gain control of the school so coming next year, Sirius Black refuse to allow his adopted daughter Hyacinth Vulpecula Black Potter

Which he had her home school at Black Manor which Hyacinth force her boyfriend and bestfriend Newt Weasley to join her which Sirius has no problem even his parents didb't have problem with now they only have to worry about Ginny return to Hogwarts and Ron would be joining his two friends hunting the horcux thst year, Molly and Athur Weasley hope all their children survive the coming war that was about to take place.

While war is happen outside Sirius wouldn't allow us to leave the manor in fear that we might be capture by the dark or worse killed so they stayed in the Black manor and getting ready to take their N.E.W.T.S. that year lets's hope by then tahe war would be over ir Siriusbwould never let us out on fear he would lose me like he lost my dad his bestfriend.

But during the final battle Sirius has decided to help in tge war but he was killed by Bellatrux Lestrange, and the only parent figure Hyacinth Vulpecula Black Potter is now dead after the war. After the War they took their N.E.W.T.S. in the ministry of magic which they pass outsandings. Before the two decided to leave Magical Engle and travel but not before they got married after the war and beging the Lady of the house of Black and Potter, Newt Weasley married to her family to continue her family line since he was the 7th son of the Weasley family. Before they went traveling all over the world.

Hyacinth Vulpecula Black Potter

What if... Lily and James Potter has twin daughters their names are Hyacinth Vulpecula (fem!Harry Potter) the oldest twin and Violet Lily Potter the youngest twin and the Girl-who-lived. When the dark lord attack the potters, dumbledore declared the youngest potter twin to be the girl who lived and in order to keep her safe she must be raised away from the magical world. Hyacinth would also have been raised along side her sister if her godfather Sirius Orion Black who also blood adopt Hyacinth into her family line making her legally his heir as well beging the Potter Heiress. She was raised in ancestral home of the black family. Along side Sirius own grandfather Arcuturus Black III and Cassiopeia Black.

Hyacinth Vulpecula Black Potter who was blood adopted by sirius Black the moment she was born and named his heir after he was made her sworn godfather so when her parents died during the time the dark lord attack. The young twin brother of Ronold Bilius Weasley, Newton "Newt" Apollo Weasley has always been close to his grandmother

Cedrella Weasley née Black along side his two older twin brothers Fred Gideon and George Fabian Weasley. So they meet Hyacinth Vulpecula Black Potter when she and Newt were 7 years old and the twins were 9 years old. And every since they meet Hyacinth and Newt were quite close to one another it dosen't help anything that they both love animals and are both beast speaker.

It would seem that Newt and the Weasley twins take after their grandmother's black gene than Weasleys that the current lord Black Arcuturus Black III gaved the three of them their own personal vault to see along with giving them allowance for their school suplies when they start Hogwarts which the three Arcuturus Black III.

The three Weasley kept their trust Vault a secret from mother and the rest of their family less they want their mother drain their trust vault dry which is something they didn't want. Arcuturus Black III help them invest in muggle & Magical companies to increase their gold which they didn't regret. He also help them learn how to manged money.

They were also given proper pureblood education along side Hyacinth. Something their parents never taught them if they haven't learn proper education of pureblood they might unknowingly offend someone unknowingly and that is something they didn't want. The twins were taught everything they need to learn before entering Hogwarts in 2 years using time turners. While Newt was catch up to Hyacinth using a time turner as well, but they aren't in a hurry since they still have 4 years to go before entering Hogwarts themself.

It wasn't long before grandfather Arcuturus Black III and great aunt Cassiopeia Black found the horcux that their house elf kreacher. That's when they discover how Regulus Arcuturus Black died by trying to destroy the horcux. They manged to retrived Regulus body but his body has become a Inferi that they were force to destroy it and turn it ash. And they destroy the rest of inferi where they found Regulus body some of those were muggle but somewhere wizards which they gaved ash of those wizard to the ministry of magic to give to their respectful family.

          It is how the Black family discover the dark lord known as Voldemort who was suppose to be a pureblood was nothing but a half blood which many pureblood family plage their loyalty to dark lord were furious to find out he wasn't even a pureblood but a half blood that branded their heirs like some cattle to be dispose off. He even went against magic to create something not even the darkest Wizards or witches would ever create a horcux. His true name is Tom Marvolo Riddle the son of a muggle man and a squib woman. 

Luckly Hyacinth isn't a turn to a living Horcux when the dark lord attack the Potters, since by then he might already created more than one which makes his soul a little more unstanle than it already is. The Black has Hyacinth check if she was turn to a horcux but luckly she isn't but the same can't said about Violet since no one where Remus Lupin allow his goddaughter Violet Lily Potter to be raise by Dumbledore so she can't be check if she's a horcux or not. The Blacks has continue what Regulus has started by hunting the dark lord's horcux for a while know they already found the Guant Ring, slytherin necklace, hufflepuff's cup and Ravenvlaw's diadem, which the four horcux were all destroy but they still have the feel he had more after all the dark lord has always believe the magical number 7 so they believed that he created 7 horcux which gose against every pureblood belief about going against magic, but never the less they continue their hunt for the horcux in ordr to prevent the resurrection of the dark lord.
