You can try starting slowly incorporating more masculine-styled women's clothing into your wardrobe. This is usually a gradual process anyway since it can take time to save up enough money to purchase enough new shirts/pants/shoes etc. to fully replace your current wardrobe, especially if you're working part-time as a babysitter, dog-walker, etc.

Clothes that are more structured or straight-cut, like button-down shirts or straight-leg pants, can help create a more traditionally masculine silhouette. Layering with hoodies or jackets can also be effective. You can sometimes find these things styled as "boyfriend" clothes, and you can tell your parents that it's the current trend/style. Another easy change is dropping the accessories. That means not wearing feminine necklaces/earrings/bracelets/hairbands, not painting your nails, etc. It's easy to say you want to keep things basic and sporty and that's why you're going without the accessories. Wearing a neutral watch or a smart watch is another accessory to consider instead of a thin-strapped "women's watch" if you wear watches at all that is.

If possible, choose a haircut that's more typically masculine. Shorter haircuts, or styles that are longer on the top and shorter on the sides, can subtly change your appearance. If you use a female reference for your photo when you show your parents what you want they may not suspect anything. If a haircut isn’t possible, consider styles like pulling your hair back in a low bun or wearing hats. If you're Black, cornrows, box braids, and locs are styles that can be gender neutral depending on how you wear them. There's a few links on that here.

There are also things you can do to come across as subtly more masculine without buying anything at all.

Sometimes, adopting a more traditionally masculine posture and body language can make a difference. This doesn't usually have a big impact on passing, but it can help you feel better about yourself and boost your self-confidence and reduce dysphoria, and it's something that your family may not notice because it's easy to alter when you're with them. Similarly, you can try voice training and practice speaking in a slightly lower tone or in a more monotone style, which is often perceived as more masculine. Be careful not to strain your voice, though, and maybe avoid doing it while you're with your family. You can see a post about voice training here.

Engaging in exercises that build upper body strength can also help in achieving a more masculine physique. Focus on workouts that target the shoulders, back, and arms. You can often do body weight workouts at home in your room without needing a gym membership or specialized exercise equipment.

Find a support system, whether it's friends, online communities, or a counselor/therapist, who understand and support your gender identity. This can provide a safe space to express yourself and explore your identity. It can help to have other friends who are also masculine to feel like you're not isolated.

Observing and adopting some masculine behavioral cues, like how men typically occupy space or interact in social settings, can also be a subtle way to express masculinity, but you want to be careful that you're not imitating toxic masculinity / obnoxious guys. Similarly, engaging in hobbies or interests that are stereotypically masculine can be a subtle way to align with male peers, but always choose activities that genuinely interest you and you can probably find other guys out there who are also interested in the things you already care about to be friends.

The above suggestions are all things that you can do without your parents necessarily noticing. Binding is something that may not be subtle depending on your chest size, so while it is possible to sometimes bind in front of family without them noticing (saying it's a sports bra, for example) I would recommend keeping your binder in your backpack and only changing into it at school in the bathroom / at a friend's house / in a public bathroom when you're out with friends but not family, etc. unless you really are wearing only a single well-fitting sports bra. It's harder to be seen as masculine or male when you're pre-medical transition and not passing which means people often have to "overcompensate" by being more masculine than they would otherwise choose to be, but as always, I'd like to note that it can be possible to pass as male / be masculine while doing any of the things I recommended changing!

So while I might advise someone who wants to come off as more masculine "don't paint your nails" for example, that is a general rule and doesn't mean that you have to follow those guidelines if you're really passionate about painting your nails. You can always choose whatever gender expression you're comfortable with. There are plenty of guys who wear nail polish and otherwise come across as masculine or who are recognized as men. It's important to remember that masculinity is diverse and there's no one right way to be masculine.

He watched you drinking too much at a holiday party that night in December, playing footsies under the table with him, unbeknownst to all the guests.

He’d smirked, sipping his mulled wine as you snitched ham off his plate, and then another piece, and another still.

“Oi, Billy. You gonna let her steal all your ham?” asked one of the men, drunk and on his third plate of food, looking curiously at you.

Billy hummed, not liking the man’s gaze on you at all, and gave him a dark look. “I don’t care for ham, at all actually. It’s too fatty and salty.” He said as your foot climbed up his calf, and you stole some mashed potatoes with your fork.

“I’m sorry, Wilbur. But I can’t resist the taste.” You mumbled, before biting off another piece of ham you’d taken.

Billy took another drink, and almost choked on his wine at your words. God, you made these holiday parties for Anvil worth going to. He wasn’t bored out of his mind with you here. He saw several women wanting to approach him, by the way they kept peeking at him and giggling like school girls. A year ago he would have happily indulged in it, but he was entirely caught up in you, especially after you’d killed Arthur. You’d defended him when his own mother, and others hadn’t.

He’d always grown disinterested in women after a week. He was sure some had loved him, but he loved you. Because you wanted him, because you were soft, and devoted, and made him realize the world wasn’t always such a dark, and evil place. Because he could be his true self with you, and still receive your love. He didn’t have to put up the facade of a good man, because you wanted him to be entirely himself, otherwise he wouldn’t be worth half as much to you.

The Tiffany bracelet he bought you last week, was shining on your wrist in the light, creating prisms. The only reason you wore it was for him. You couldn’t care less about material things, which made it hard when he wanted to spoil you, to take care of you.

And he’d wanted to care for you, he didn’t think you needed to work, but you put your foot down on that. You liked your independence, and if something went wrong you’d be stranded with nowhere to go.

Billy had reluctantly agreed, but he knew nothing was going to change. You were his.

You liked working at the library anyway, affectionately complaining about the cranky old lady who worked there.

“I’ll probably end up like her,” you laughed, “with five cats.”

That was when he seriously decided to keep you. He wanted your five cats, attachments be damned.

“I want to grab your hair, and kiss you.” You said, watching him, feet still playing with his legs.

Billy uncrossed his legs, “Why don’t you?” He asked, leaning in, voice husky.

“I don’t think your fan club would approve.” You laughed, eyes flicking down to his mouth.

Billy huffed, “The only fan club I want is yours.” He said, leaning back.

You smiled, “Oh, Billy. Don’t tempt me. You might find yourself stalked.” You said, drinking more of the awful wine.

Billy didn’t get a chance to respond.

“Isn’t he handsome?” One of the women laughed, looking at you, eyes glazed. Drunk, probably.

You stole a piece of his pumpkin pie, “And smart. And ambitious. A tactician. Resourceful. A protector. And sweet when he’s not being an asshole.” You said softly, spraying a bunch of whipped cream on a single bite of pumpkin pie.

Billy adjusted his tie, feeling uncomfortable. You saw him through the facade, you didn’t see him just for his beauty, but everything else, too.

The woman stared. She hadn’t thought of those things, she just saw him superficially. Just another pretty face, as they say. She ended up drifting away and Billy let out a sigh of relief. “Janice. Every office party she hits on me.” He whispered, pouring himself more wine.

“I bet she’s the president of your fan club.” You laughed, and then paused. “Billy should take me home, so we can have a hot bath together with some better wine.”

Billy’s lips turned up. “You don’t like mulled wine?”

- However Liv is very accident prone, she’s always getting hurt one way or another, giving everyone an heart attack since the age of 9 since she’s always been a active little girl. So in result she give Tony and something for Rei to roll his eyes about.

- From an young age, she has always been into tech, jewelry and over all. Wanting to build and grow a her own little things, she was a Stark it’s a given! She watched a lot of movies so she got creative with her ideas.

- Random fun fact, one of her favorite movies is 10 Things I Hate About You, just because she likes Kat Stratford’s aesthetic and attitude. But it’s many Action Movies and Rom-Coms that she will watch with Pepper, that she enjoyed. It’s where she gets her inspiration for things.

- She adored the idea staying in the lab, tinkering and cleaning up the inventions that were made. She practically lived in there, staying home to help and learn. It caused never want to leave that house in general, having a bit of mouth on her after hearing the adults always speak their minds (so don’t be surprised this girl start rambling and throws out whatever bullshit that appears in her thoughts), but it allowed her to be a safe within those four walls.

- It didn’t take long for her to start filling up a notebook with designs on how to incorporate technology into fine jewelry (aka The Stark Watch, necklaces to tracking and security measures, bracelets to be use for defense purposes and rings can be transformed into gauntlet). 

- She’s always been bit of business women! Wanting to create products to help people, keeping an eye on things from behind the scenes, represent and model for Stark industries and such. 

- But she was still so young, so her parents and siblings didn’t want her to grow up so soon in the spotlight of it. She’s a kid! And she understood that, it bothered her but she understood why. So she stays hoping her time could come where she can help out the group.

—> Because little did she know that theses little gadgets and gizmos that would be incorporated into the ideas her father and older brother would use as fashion purposes in the future with their own suits. Aka they’re Iron Man suits!

—> I know you may be wondering about her family life, well Liv raised well per say. She had to move around a lot as a child, especially since Tony never wanted the public attention to be on her just yet and her mother wasn’t sure that she would taken care of. It took convincing from Pepper and Jason to let her stay home with them, so everything was fine after that.

Her relationship with her father was an nice one. When it comes to parenting his kids, Tony was a rather dramatic, embarrassingly loud at times, a little cocky and stubborn parent per day, so it’s a bit difficult to get him to calm down and talk softly with him. Tony cares a lot about his children, having Rei and Liv to take care of but he was always busy with the company having to arrive home late, events he had to attend and ending up being tired.

Other than that, he tried to make time for his son and daughter, bringing them to the lab and everywhere he could. Even if he got in trouble afterwards. Tony always tries to inspire his daughter to do what she loves and experience things, be caring, make sure she was alright too and etc. But they make it work!

Ohh, did I forget to mention how annoying and protective Tony can be as a parent? He will take everything very seriously or not serious at all, acting out if something goes wrong and he tends to be questioning his motives. Even blaming himself if something bad were to happen to his family. Tell Tony Stark you have a crush? He sends JARVIS to keep an eye on you. Ask Tony for something like a new backpack for school? He buys you something else.

In his defense, he does everything with so much love (even if he doesn’t always portray it in the best way).

Her relationship with Rei however—you wouldn’t think it but rather wholesome, since she’s the little sister he never exactly wanted. They were completely opposite to one another, he’s grumpy and she’s easygoing, he rather work alone in silence and she rather work with music blasting and etc. But as much as Rei may be annoyed and want to throw his little sister out of the house, deep down he cares about her, even though he didn’t show it to her very often and he’s very protective of her ever since he was a child.

Rei and their father, always trying to keep Liv out of harms way and safe at home. Even if they tend to fail at times.

Since Tony was always busy, Rei tends to be one to look out for Liv and keep her in check, being her personal bodyguard for everything she does. If it was up to him, Rei would wrap his baby sister in bubble wrap and not let her leave the house!!

When they were kids (and even now) Liv would follow Rei wherever he went and wanting to copy him, be like her big brother because he always around the corner with something snarky to say to her and a huge potty mouth (it resulted in her having a huge attitude as well). She will always be the one to encourage Rei’s designs for suits and talk to dad about something.

He talks and she will absolutely love to listen to him (even if 85% of the time she has no idea what he’s talking, cause he’s smarter than her at a lot of things.)

Sometimes you will find Liv in a moody way shutting everyone out of her room and just curled up in a ball, similar to brother and to be honest, it concerns Rei a bit when it happens. But he would probably try to snap her out of it, even not he will let her be in her moody moments. He knows how it is

At the end of the day, no matter how different they were with one another and the paths they choose, they cared in their own way. Even if when they’re public, they act like they don’t know one another.

She met all of them when she just a child, joining Rei and Tony on a simple basis day with the group. She first started watching her father talking with Bruce Banner, and she took a liking to him very much seeing how nice, gentle and reserved he can be. But there an edge to him, that she found to be cool.

As for when she met Rick, it was when him and Rei were chatting. Her first impression of him, to her the young man is that he looked like a old school Disney Channel Star with a nice smile and warmth, with a glint of mischief in his eyes.

So when she saw Bruce, Rick, Rei and Tony all work together in their own separate labs blasting music so loudly..the only thing Vi said, “Oh no, there’s 4 of them!”

When she met Natasha, she just cool and rather chill per say acting like the nonsense agent with a soft side. Romanoff’s daughter on the other hand, she was just curious about her and Vi liked that.

Same thing goes for Clint and his daughter, they were just cool people. She was always amazed with the skills they had, and a part of her always knew that Clint Barton was a family man. And she was right, when they appeared at the Barton’s Barn years later.

Meira and Luna were just so relaxed, gentle and sweet girls. She adored how they acted with their teammates and siblings, especially Meira since she was a little sister just like her. Sweet and snarky.

Ethan was just super chill and suspicious of everything, Rei didn’t like him and carried Vi alway from from very quickly. Cole was just so mischievous, snarky smile and tossing jokes every day, making Vi laugh or snort. But a part of her respected him greatly, cause she heard he was VERY powerful.

Liane, well she didn’t like her right away. She annoyed Olivia very quickly and she sent painful glared toward the girl who tried to make friends with her. After a while she softened toward Ms Felton, but it took a long time cause she saw Rei didn’t like her either.

- Sam and Bucky have been together for a while now, since their chemistry was a challenging one it always hard to settle down and figure out what they want. However a house, family and future for their kids was always one of them.

- They already had Laurie and Benjamin, so they thought two kids was enough as it is. But things took a small turn when they stumble at a orphanage in Brazil for a mission and met this no named little girl who gave both of them the most honest smile.

- Sam has always been one to have a big heart, so wanting a big family was always part of that. So his heart spoke before his words ever could, wanting to adopt her. Bucky Barnes on the other hand was a little hesitant—well more like worried—about the whole thing, he always wanted a little piece of normalcy and he got it with Sam and their kids. But adding a 3rd? That was a lot of responsibility, but he caved as soon as he hung out with the girl.

- To be honest, they saw a bit of themselves in her. So she was adopted when she less than 10 years old and brought into a family of oddly comforting heroes. They named gave her a name and did everything they could to make her feel comfortable. Welcomed.

—> So Davina (or Daphne) as they called her grow up with her parents and siblings. As loved as she was, she always felt alone and feared that it will all be taken away from her. Especially with the fact that her parents were heroes themselves, there was always a chance that they can end up hurt or worse, if not careful.

- But Bucky always made sure to tell her and every single one of his children, “Don’t worry, I’ll always come back home to you guys, no matter how long it takes.” And Sam would tell them, “You’re our kids, we will always love you and be there to tuck you in bed whenever we can.”

- Sometimes they would be gone for 2-3 days, maybe a week or a whole month leaving the kids in care of family and friends. Laurie was the oldest of the siblings, so they could handle themselves very well and or sneak off to join the fight ending with them in trouble. Benjamin being the second oldest, so he rather stay behind during the fight and stay with his sisters and friends.

- Speaking of fights and travel, when if plenty say battle isn’t place for children. Sometimes Sam and Bucky had no choice but to bring there kids with them to places like Wakanda, Stark Tower, France and or let’s say Germany for instance. Even though it was a hassle to bring children along for the ride, it was an interesting learning experience and a way to test out their kids

- And to be honest, Daph and her siblings enjoy it a little too much. Cracking jokes, running around, exploring different places and meeting interesting people, and creating new ideas among one another. It was a field trip for them sometimes.

-> And if your wondering, yes Daphnia is team #HateJohnWalker! When she found out, she was ready to take her baseball bat and wack his head with it, demanding the Shield back with a glare. Bucky couldn’t be more prouder of her in that moment laughing, meanwhile Sam rolled his eyes unable to believe what he heard.

- Random fun fact, she played baseball before she was ever adopted and had really good aim, depending on where she was hitting. It was a trait her siblings carried on as well, especially Benjamin even if he was more reserved one, he had a great aim.

- She always loved any sport that involves movement and play, soccer being one of them (since she lived in Brazil for a while). She liked to think she was rather talented when it came to that, even if she was a problem when it came to being around other kids, having a small temper and glaring at other people. Mainly, it was her insecurity that she hid underneath her own glares. 

- Matter a fact all the kids were talented in their own way ever since they were younger. Daphne when she was very little, believed at the time that she didn’t have any good talents and wasn’t as smart enough as it is. Until Sam took her out to the shopping and noticed that she stopped in front of small gymnastics building with wide eyes, softly grinning at the sight. She pleaded for him to let her walk in and see the girls, he nodded letting her watch. As she did, Daph realized she wanted to join in on the fun and dance as well. Sam couldn’t stop himself and called Bucky for his opinion on it.

- She started her classes soon enough and enjoyed it for the most part, her body was rather sore after some classes. So she wasn’t too happy about that part. When Bucky told Nat about it, the Russian spy came in shocked and said, “If she wanted to learn some acrobatics, why didn’t you come to me or Lydia? Barton would’ve showed her!” 

- Bucky just rolled his eyes and replied, “Cause she wanted that to be her own thing. And it doesn’t hurt to have some normalcy around her, Romanoff. I think it’s a good thing..” And Bucky was right about that, since he loved seeing his husband and children happy, enjoying themselves and having a break from the hero world. Hell, he goes to every talent show, buys items needed and participates in whatever is needed. Even if he’s not too happy about it at first.

- Of course as much as acrobatics were her own thing and all she ever wanted to do, so she can have that skill set. That didn’t stop the idea of having good marksmanship in her left corner, she was already good with a baseball bat and Bucky was more than happy to show the basics of how to hold/use a gun to his kids. Sam wasn’t too pleased about that idea though saying, “They’re too young!”

- And to be honest, Daph was pretty good with a gun. Swinging it swiftly and tossing the gun in her hands, holding it up to her target (which was an old target board hanging outside nearby the trees). However that didn’t mean she didn’t play around with the gun at first, holding in her hands and pretending to be a spy. “Barnes, but you can call Agent Daphnia Wilson, at your service.” She said with a giggle, humoring herself.

- Daph was always a little silly, cocky and daring. Not thinking first and asking questions later kinda gal—oops! So it lead her to getting in trouble sometimes, breaking certain curfews if she out at the movies with a friend (like with one of the young avengers), being a little lazy about things and running away from her problems like a champ. But by the end of the day, she was good girl.

-> Speaking of Young Avengers and Older Avengers. You’re probably wondering who’s her favorites are and first impression were of the teams huh? Well, here are your answers.

Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff were a given to being liked by her, due to her parents being friends with them. I mean come on, they are basically Captain America, The Black Widow and the rest of Cap’s Quarter.

Moving down the list Thor was always a silly man to her, hearing stories how he speaks in old English and is very noble when it comes to the things that he does. According to the stories from Sam, he was a rather loud fella with a good heart.

Clint Barton, she took a liking too finding his simple ways of life and honest charm to be a nice thing to see. Plus Clint has a similar murder stare to Bucky, so it was funny to see their resting faces when they’re in the same room together.

The man, the myth, the legend himself (or that’s at least what people like to say) Tony Stark was always one of a kind. She was very nervous to meet all of The Avengers, one of them being Stark having seen how the persona he displayed on TV screens and the stories. But in reality, Tony was just a genius goof with snarky humor, so it lighten up her mood.

It was like Bruce Banner sensed her nervousness from a mile away since she appeared in The Tower. He noticed the child behind Sam Wilson holding her jacket, leaned down to her level to kindly introduce himself to the girl and watching parents reactions. Soon enough, with Bucky leaning against the wall with a nod of encouragement, Daph started talking to Bruce with such softness and gentleness.

As for the rest of them, she met them some time later. The Young Avengers. She met the Stark siblings, Rei wasn’t in the lightest mood having no like the idea of meeting Barnes or Wilson’s kids but Olivia gave her a warm welcome and waved at her before rushing off to meet her friends at the mall.

Natasha Romanoff’s daughter Rochelle was kind enough to show her and her siblings around, chatting with them knowing it felt to be the new kids. Daph liked her reddish hair and kind smile.

Liane was something else, having been on a rambling mess when she met Daph and trying to figure out what to do with her plans. Laurie laughed as her sister snicker at the blonde, meanwhile Benji just rolled his eyes confused wanting to get away from there.

Meira was and will always be a delight to meet, since Daphnia met her that same week in The Tower’s kitchen and taste testing her new batch of cookies. They were delicious.

Speaking of food, when Daphnia met Rick she got the same warmth and kindness she remembered from being Bruce. But this time it involved snacks and jokes around his week at The Tower, she was all ears listening to him as they entered the kitchen to find some chicken nuggets.

Cole and Luna, it was more magic and fun spells when she came to see them. The two were casting some spills, when she got caught in one of them being turned into a little mouse by accident. Cole laughed as Luna worried, but they turned her back to normal soon enough.

Ethan was the 3rd sibling she met, and she thanked all the Stars and Stripes that it was a simple meeting. He was watching a movie, being Monsters Inc. when she met him the guy joining The Young Avengers for a movie night.

QUOGAN HEADCANONS PART 2

hi again!!! I'm back with part 2. I honestly expected to finish my thoughts but yeah I talk a lot and just have so many thoughts soooo I'm still not done!

College Years

Logan and Michael helped Quinn and her family set up her dorm room (she has her own room but has communal bathrooms)

Logan buys his first condo to live in for college years with the plan of using it as an investment property in the future. (This could be the apartment we see Quinn at in Zoey 102??)

Logan gifted Quinn a gold necklace of his name and Quinn got him a (vegan) leather bracelet with her name on it before move in day!

Logan was very intimidated at first and didn't think he was smart enough for UCLA but Quinn and his group of friends helped encourage him.

Quinn was nervous about making friends and was one of very few girls in her class at Caltech. Logan and the gang (especially Zoey and Lola) helped boost her confidence and help block out any sexism she would endure as a women in STEM.

Their first semester there was some uncertainty on both ends on if their relationship would last, plus people kept telling them "oh high school relationships fail just dump them". Scheduling time to speak to one another on the phone and in person meet ups was hard at first but the two realized how worth it their love was.

Quinn realized a month into her first semester that no guy compared to Logan in terms of attentiveness. Logan realized how truly lucky he was to have Quinn after only spending a few weeks in school listening to his classmates *try* to sound smart.

After the first year, Quinn got a summer internship at a TekMate (currently in a crisis competing with the iPhone) and this began her working her way up the company. Logan worked as a producer's assistant for one of his father's films aka this being one of the most humbling experiences for him.

^^ that summer, Quinn lived with Logan in his condo that first summer and yeah the two had lots of sex but also learned what being in an adult relationship consists of (budgeting, grocery shopping, chores, etc.) Quinn was also saving up to rent her own place.

During Logan's 3rd year at UCLA in my mind is where he meets Jared (a new character in Zoey 102 and one of his groomsmen), the son of fellow rich/successful movie producers and Malcolm asks him to help adjust to UCLA. The two become close immediately and Logan introduces him to Quinn like a week after knowing each other.

Jared and Quinn are both gleeks. Quinn only started watching because of the character Quinn Fabray and they get Logan on board too. Quinn dresses up as a cheerio one halloween and Jared and Logan are Warblers.

In 102, Jared is confirmed gay and has a longtime partner. Back in 2010-ish, Jared was probably scared shitless to come out to Logan but wanted to because he started seeing someone, presumably his partner. Logan was the one to ask Jared "so are you and (insert name)..." to which jared opens his eyes and Logan interrupts trying to calm him down saying "its totally cool if you are! Quinn is from Seattle you know so she's cool with it too!" this causes Jared to tear up and the two share a bro hug.

Logan and Quinn start becoming more and more comfortable in his own masculinity/femininity respectively and their sexualities.

Every summer up until graduation Quinn worked at TekMate, eventually being offered a position as an invention consultant at age 23. Logan threw her a huge party.

Logan dealt with accusations all through college that he only got in because his father bribed the school...he ended up graduating with a solid B+ average.

Post College Years/Before Engagement

Logan continues to buy up real estate as investment properties but mainly lives in one "starter" home in The Hollywood Hills. Quinn lives in Logan's first condo (rent free) and the two have sleepovers quite literally every night. Their friends and family keep harassing them about why they don't just move in together but the two are adamant about it not feeling "the right time" yet, ie: Quinn establishing herself and wants to be financially steady and Logan respecting her space but also building up his producing credentials.

Logan proposed for the first time not long after they graduated to which Quinn said she wasn't ready yet. This prompted them to have the discussion about living separately for a while. Not only did this make their relationships stronger, but helped them grow as individuals. (Logan kept the engagement ring)

Like in the movie, Logan was openly stating he wanted to marry Quinn but respected her needs. She probably wanted to establish her own name in the tech world before being known as JUST "Logan Reese's wife". Quinn always reassured him though she would eventually say yes and would let him know when she was ready.

They buy their first home together after 10 years of dating (age 27). Around this time as well, the CEO of TekMate announces they are stepping down from the position and they suggest Quinn be one of a select few to begin the training process to take over. Quinn is eventually chosen as the new CEO a year later at age 28, the youngest and first female in the company's history.

Shortly after Quinn becomes CEO, Camille (new character from Zoey 102 and one of her bridesmaids) is hired as head of marketing for TekMate. the two become fast friends and Quinn immediately introduces her to Logan who is just ecstatic. Camille also gets along great with Lola, Michael, Stacey, Mark, and Jared.

Logan entrusts Camille to text or call him whenever Quinn is stressed at work.

The idea of of developing the unbreakable see-through phone comes when at a party, Logan randomly wonders what would happen if he ran over his old iPhone with his new car (one of his new cars I should say).

on their anniversary every year, they take a trip to a different area of the world.

Logan and Quinn go all out for decorating their house for Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Valentines Day.

Lyric was the one who asked the couple the most on when they would get married.

When the unbreakable see through phone was getting closer and closer to launch, Forbes magazine cover, etc. is when Quinn felt she was truly established as "Quinn Pensky, the inventor" and when she told Logan she was ready to get married, he cried. He also told her he still wanted to propose to her to which she anxiously anticipated it.

From the very first time I blessed my eyes on you, girl my heart said follow through

There was never a time when Bob Marley didn't have somewhere to be. Whether it was a concert or a studio session, he was busy, so whenever he had the chance he'd walk . Just so he could get some fresh air and see the city. Today he had to be at a meeting with someone at RCA Records, he didn't plan on signing, but it was a free trip to America, why wouldn't he come? He was walking down Lancome, passing a park filled with young men and women holding signs and chanting. He wasn't new to seeing protests or even being in them, but there was something special about this one. There was a woman, who to Bob looked more like a special gift, from Jah. Wrapped all up in a flowy skirt and an olive green headwrap. “you looks like magic, ya know?” He said to whoever listened. His life's mission had suddenly become meeting you. He'd succeeded but not without being 30 minutes late to his meeting.

Don't talk to me as if you think I'm dumb

“It would never work Bob.” you said to him, bracelets clinking as you waved your arms. “Why not? Ya tell me why I can't have you fi miself huh?”“Be smart about this, please.” you pleaded.“Well I'm not a claffy!” you raised an eyebrow in confusion, you'd barely adjusted to his deep Jamaican patois. “Dumb, I'm not dumb, yn.” But he was. He was dumb for you. And you were too focused on graduating colleges and retiring your parents to realize. “I could move,” he suggested.“What? I have to finish school.” you wrapped your arms around Bob's midsection and inhaled the shea butter scent wafting from his freshly washed locs.“Come see me in the summer, will you?” 'Cause if summer is you're I'm still waiting there It was the second summer Bob had visited you and it was the same as last. you greeted him at the airport with a hug and a kiss on his cheek. you let him drive your car and laugh as he cursed at the different driving rules in your city. you washed his hair and the both of you would cuddle up and watch romances on your tv. Bob Would pretend he was taking the couch in your 1 bedroom apartment and you'd smack him with a pillow until he'd agree to take a spot in your bed. You two would blast the newest music and share your opinions on what was best and what was worst and. He would wake up and cook you an ital breakfast. You and Bob would spend time walking up and down the streets making up life stories of people they passed. And at the end of July he would pack his bag and “accidentally” leave a sweater or t-shirt in one of your drawers. “ I love you” he'd say and turned away fast so that he couldn't hear you lecture him. And he'd imagine you said it back all the while flying back home. Feeling in his heart that your arms were his new home. The home that would never fully be his. It's been three years since I'm knockin' at your door Another summer drew Bob Marley back to you. He strolled through the airport in a pair of jorts and a t-shirt big enough to fit another him. His locs were pulled back with a black scrunchie he'd stolen from you. His eyes roamed the vast room searching for your familiar smile. But it was nowhere to be found. Just as he pulled out his cell your number flashed across his screen. “Ay, my love whe ya at na?” “I'm coming in right now. I'm so sorry I'm late.” Your flip flops tapped lightly against the hard shiny floor as you reached Bob's slumped figure. You could tell he was disappointed. Over your 3 years of friendship you had never forgotten to pick him up. His arms draped heavily over your shoulders. “Sorry. I'm sorry.” You muttered into his shirt, hoping this was the one he'd leave with you. He kissed the top of your head, already forgetting what you'd done and imagining the fun you two would have. At your apartment, Bob pulled out his key and led you inside as if you were the one visiting him. Bob made it his business to dig through your kitchen drawers and find a good menu. You took his bag into your bedroom and kneeled by your dresser to fold his clothes into one of your drawers you kept clear for him. In the bottom of the bag sat a small velvet box. As soon as you'd seen it your breath caught in our chest and your shoulders tensed up. Tears flowed from your eyes. I'm the moment you couldn't figure out if they were happy tears or sad ones. Bob walked in on you crying and cringed, he hadn't meant for you to see it. “Ya na haf do nun you dont wanna.” He twisted his lips to the side of his face and looked down at his feet. “ Just in case you begin to love me.” “We-we’ve talked about this Nesta,” “Don't call me dat.” He was only Nesta when you were breaking his heart. 'Tears in my eyes burn, tears in my eyes burn 

While I'm waiting, while I'm waiting for my turn

Bob was on his way to see you. And this time summer wasn't leading him to you. It was your graduation, he'd been waiting years for you to graduate. That had always been your excuse for not being with him. School. You had to focus on school.

He pulled up to your school in a cab, dressed in a pair of black slacks and a white button up. his locs were freshly washed, and he'd found someone to twist his locs, a style he would never let you do. He was dressed to impress you, and maybe ask for your hand in marriage (again). He sat in the very back legs crossed and waited patiently for them to call you up. To his surprise you were the very last one. You were welcomed by the school president as Valedictorian. When he heard this he cheered and whooped like a proud father. 

As you walked off the stage and shed your graduation gown, Bob rose from his seat and began heading over to you, he marveled at you in your green dress. () Your smile and skin glowed in the sun and he chuckled as you shook your hips in a silly dance. As  he got closer he slowed behind you, planning to surprise her with a scare. You turned to face a man to the left of you and threw your arms around the man. He placed a wet kiss on our temple and you laughed into his shoulder. Bob made a sound behind you, eyes already beginning to burn with salt water. “Nesta?” you said.

“Who's this?” the man asked and stuck his hand out for Bob to shake. 

“Bob Marley. One of the most famous artists out righna.” Bob bragged he'd do anything to make this man feel less than him. He looked at you, feeling betrayed in every way possible. He felt cheated on, and sick to his stomach. 

“Ya have a good time yea?” he looked down at his feet, fearing if he saw your eyes he'd burst out into tears in front of all these people. 

“Yea…” You ignored the man and your friends beside you and grabbed Bob's face with two hands, you stared into eyes. He wondered what it was you were searching for. “I love you.” You said. He grabbed your hand and set them in front of you. “Good bye.” He said and left you wishing you could follow after him. Wishing you hadn't been so dumb.

Negative traits: I'm pretty self conscious/ insecure, and indecisive because of it. I definitely have a tendency to be envious. Bad habit of taking stuff personally and dwelling on issues that I should let go. can get annoyed/frustrated easily, especially if I'm overstimulated. I'm also jumpy and gullible. Communication is very important to me in all my relationships, but when I get depressed, I tend to isolate.

I show my love through acts of service and prefer words of affirmation. I enjoy doing things for my loved ones and making sure they can relax, feel safe, and be happy. - I collect a lot of stuff. I have a Ton of comfort items- my posters, stuffed animals, collectible figures, etc.

- When I first meet people, I'm overly formal and will crack a few jokes, but once I'm familiar with someone, I cuss a lot and enjoy playful teasing, but I always encourage to set boundaries if they need to.

- I'm a big over thinker. I can be pretty independent and self sufficient (sometimes) but I'm also very very insecure and doubt myself a lot. I've got lots of vocal stims and am pretty fidgety.

- I listen to a lot of different kinds of music but I think the main genres I listen to are indie and alt rock

- some of my favorite artists include khai dreams, Hozier, Mitski, Maneskin, Queen, and The Weekend, and I really enjoy musical/cartoon scores and soundtracks (especially Adventure Time and Steven Universe)

Everyone else you work with (maybe there are one or two exceptions) tends to think about what they want and act on it compulsively. You're level headed, thoughtful, something he wasn't used to at first, but instantly fell for

You and Marvin are constantly doing things to make each others lives easier. You might wash the dishes one night while he folds the laundry. Showing up at the office with coffee and something sweet when he pulls an all-nighter. Small gestures that mean so much and that show your love

Dealing with Butcher means being told hurtful things and being expected to brush it off like it's nothing. Knowing it'll hurt you deeply, Marvin makes it clear to him (in private of course) that you're off limits. He can be an a--hole to him all he wants, but he draws the line when it comes to you, no exceptions

Marvin definitely takes inventory of all the things you collect (posters, trinkets, etc.) and, no matter what, finds something to add to it. He finds tons of small, cute things that remind him of you. They're left on your desk or on the counter in the kitchen where he knows you'll see. Usually there's a little note attached in his pristine handwriting, always with a heart by his name as if you didn't know it was him who'd left it there

✉️ Advice for Cheap Watches

This post is an answer to a part of the [latest](https://mastodon.macstories.net/@comfortzone/113006088682467923) _Comfort Zone_ podcast episode, where they talked about considering a non-smart watch.

In the episode, Matt Birchler said he had considered going back to using a non-smart watch – but that when he asked for advice, people usually said he had to spend around €1.000 to get something good. He ended up saying why he probably didn’t want one anyway, but I wanted to give some advice “just in case”!

I do love more expensive watches1 – but I also have a soft spot for cheap ones. And my own watch collection consists of only sub-€100 watches! So here are my tips:

1) Look past the strap

Especially when looking at cheaper watches, the strap that comes with the watch might not be great – in terms of comfort and/or looks. So I usually focus on the dial and case. Many watches also come with a metal bracelet, which I personally don’t love, so I usually switch to a third-party NATO strap or a nice leather strap. I’ve had luck with leather straps from Etsy, combined with a butterfly clasp from Ebay. Those clasps make it so you don’t have to add strain to the leather every time you put it on and off, increasing it’s longevity.

You just have to figure out the width of the watch lugs2 (often 18-22 mm) and, if you’re going for a butterfly clasp, the how much the strap tapers. Because, usually, a 20 mm leather strap might only be 18 mm at the other end – so you’ll need an 18 mm butterfly clasp. Also try to match the hardware metal of the strap with the watch itself.

Most nice watches works great with many different straps – so I’d rather buy fewer watches and more straps, and vary from day to day!

2) Mechanical watches 🫶🏻

In the episode, I think they conflated “mechanical” and “analog” watches. The latter is watches that aren’t digital – that they show the time with hands and stuff. The first is about how the watch gets its power. Most cheaper watches have battery driven quarts movements, and aren’t considered “mechanical”.

The rational choice is to go for a quarts watch: It’s more accurate, you don’t have to wind it, and it’s easier to make slim.

**But I still love mechanical ones… **For some reason, I just love the idea of it running just with cogs, springs and whatnot. And it’s kinda neat that you never have to change the battery. You can also get a smooth sweeping seconds hand – instead of it ticking every second.

The main types of mechanical watches are hand-wound and automatic ones. The first type you’ll probably want to wind for a couple of seconds every morning. The latter will wind itself with the movement of your arm – so if you wear it at least every 2-3 days, you’ll never have to wind it!3 But hand-wound ones are usually slimmer.

3) Consider the complications

The most common complications are calendar ones, like day, date and month. If you’re thinking about a watch you’ll wear every day, I’d probably go for an automatic one with some calendar complications.

This Vaer has a neat calendar window. It also has a display casebook, showing the automatic movement. The 'half-circle' on the back is the thing that winds the watch with your arm movement.

4) Don’t buy it too large

Now, this is very subjective – but I think many people buy way too large watches. If you have slender wrists (like many women do), I’d go 32-36 mm, and if you don’t have very wide wrists, I’d go for 35-40 mm.

5) Some brands to look at

Many fashion watches are overpriced. They might have a decent design – but are very cheaply made quarts watches with a brand slapped on them. I’d also stay away from most micro-brands that run a lot of crowdfunding with large words.4

But I like to focus on Good Stuff on this blog, so I mostly want to talk about brands I recommend!

Seiko is really solid, and their 5 line is great value. The latest versions has “sadly” become better, and thus also a bit more expensive. But they’re still not expensive, and you can get the older versions used for a great price.

An older Seiko 5 version, next to a Vostok Amphibia. The Seiko is much sleeker, but has worse specs.

Orient is another really solid brand, with a bunch of different styles.

The Bambino is the staple in their collection. I like it – but I really wish they would remove the top part of their logo…

The American brand Timex has been around for a long time, and still makes nice budget options. I really wish they made a mechanical version of the Weekender!

Casio is a really well-known budget brand, and is well worth the (little amount) of money. They make some decent analog watches as well, but I’d go for a classic digital one from them – and the, by far (in my opinion), collect of them is the World Timer A500WGA.

A good place to look for cheap, mechanical watches is Russia/the USSR (vintage). But I haven’t felt like buying any of them since the attack on Ukraine – so I’m not sure if I can recommend it. At least buying new! My go-to used to be buying Vostok (especially Amphibia – 420 is the prettiest version IMO) directly from Meranom. They don’t look great on that site, but you can buy custom bezels and more, and have them put it on before shipping it. Combine it with a custom strap, and you get a fantastic dive watch for the price. I’ve also had good luck with buying old Poljot watches on Ebay.

This is just some brands I remembered off the top of my head. There’s also lots of good individual deals, like the Sea-Gull 1963, all over the place, and lots of other good budget brands.

And the best thing is, of course, to do your own research, and maybe check out some Watch (not Fashion) YouTubers.

But if you don’t want to spend a lot of time, these are the things I want you to take away from this:

Beware of overpriced fashion and micro brands.

Consider a mechanical (not quarts) watch.

Be open to strap changes – both because your next favourite watch might not come on a strap you like, and to get more out of every watch by being able to change the look.

As opposed to smartwatches, mechanical watches lasts a lifetime – and smaller watches are more timeless.
