the only sims 2 theory that i consider objectively false is "brandi killed skip for insurance money". you think skip "just the tip" broke had life insurance? you think the people popping three kids into a two bedroom trailer were planning things? he did Not have inheritance either. he left behind a collection of losing lotto tickets and one pack of hollowed out swisher sweets in grape flavor

The Pink Flamingo Bar, updated for 2024!

Among a lot of little tweaks and upgrades, the biggest changes include more space and functionality. No more backwards bartenders!

...but updated or not, it is still recognizably The Pink Flamingo that locals love.

This new edition of The Pink Flamingo was made in a squeaky clean Pleasantview so you can download safely with minimal Super Duper Hug Bug threat. The original 2018 version may be infected despite my best intentions. I advise to only download this cleaner copy going forward!

Special note: redoing this lot gave me the chance to see how much the original has been downloaded (3000+ times!!!) and I'm just so humbled to learn that this little local bar is a part of so many of your Pleasantviews. Thank you so very much, and I hope everyone continues to enjoy karaoke night on Tuesdays! ;)

Brandi Broke, Dina Caliente and creepy men

I love the idea Brandi Broke and Dina Caliente dating, because this relationship is also a way for them to heal from fucked-up relationships they had with men before.

Brandi starts dating Skip as a teen. But according to TS3 Skip is only 7 days younger than Brandi's parents. In the game Bob and Betty are teens and Skip is a child. And Brandi is obviously not even planned at this point. So you can interpret this information as an adult Skip getting in the relationship with much younger Brandi (or at least kissing her from what we can see in her memories).

Even if we consider TS3 as an alternative timeline, Brandi is only 7 days into her adult life stage and Dustin is already a teen. Was he born when she still was a teenager? Maybe Brandi and Skip were just two stupid teenagers, but the situation is still not ideal.

Michael Bachelor being creepy with Dina is not even a headcanon. We know that he is much older than Dina. At the beginning of the game, he's already died of old age! And Dina is 28 days away from being an elder, she's really young. According to Dina's memories, she had her first kiss with Michael when she was a teen.

It makes sense to me how quickly Dina and Brandi became best friends. They've experienced similar traumatic events in their lives.

But that's just my interpretation of the pieces of data EAxis left us with. Definitely not trying to start drama because of pixel people :)

more lore brainstorming, again about another suspicious death.

There are so many great theories abt Skip Broke's death. Did Brandi kill him for insurance money? Did his life of crime finally catch up to him? Was it his time-traveling self / evil clone !!?

But what if it was something as simple as....a few unpaid bills and an accident turned cover-up?

Set the scene, Skip Broke is enjoying a relaxing soak in his tiny pool when....the Repo-man shows up. Uh-oh, looks like the Brokes were behind on their bills again. Oh well, there goes the TV, Skip thinks. Except, no. This time the Repo-man goes for the pool ladder.

Leaving Skip stranded the Repo-man continues to repossess a few more items while Skip panics as his needs decrease to fatal levels. When the Repo-man returns outside it's to find a grave beside the pool. Not wanting to get in trouble, he quickly pops the grave into his inventory and flees the lot.

Later, Brandi comes home from work and she just knows Skip is dead the way sims close to one another always do. However, finding no grave in sight she immediately becomes suspicious. She calls the authorities, and like Dina with Michael, claims someone did something, but once again the cops are useless and don't believe her! Instead they make assumptions and decide Skip must have skipped out on his family and run off with someone else, faking his death. After all, there is no gravestone and there's always a gravestone. Besides, a murder investigation? That means more work, and if there's anything SimCity cops hate it's work.

Repo-man has never been caught and continues to live comfortably in SimCity, going around to all nearby towns to gleefully repossess their items.

Eventually, Dina and Brandi become close friends, unlikely pair that they are, as they bond over the mysterious deaths of their husbands and the ineptitude of the SimCity Police Department. Together they start a support group for Family of the Mysteriously Disappeared and Deceased. With funds from Dina's days as a reality TV star and a hefty donation from Mortimer Goth after the disappearance of Bella, the group hires Detective Dan D. Mann to look into these disappearances...

different sim interpretations can be p funny because when I posted the first version of that "every fandom has one" chart on the sims 2 subreddit someone said that Brandi should've been in the straight up evil box and I got super confused before remembering the whole thing about her potentially killing Skip lol

I have no opinions or headcanons on Skip as a person so I don't know if him dying would be considered good or bad. Really need to play more Pleasantview

Building the lore of Pleasantview is so cruel cuz why do I have to make all this sims just to kill them and then erase the memory of their living relatives so it seems they've been dead for a long time.

Anyway at least Morty and Agnes are now related.

Might give these sims a cool photoshoot because they deserve better than a CAS screenshot.
