sometimes people ask me how I doodle so fast or like how I come up with so many things to draw and I don’t really have an answer for them I just go. I just start. maybe tho that Is an answer - when I’m doodling I don’t consider any one doodle to be “worth” hardly anything, because it’s a doodle, I’m just making stuff and I make stuff all the time so this godzilla is the same as this tiny squashed drawing of a stick figure so i don’t need to pay special attention to godzilla so i only realize its not too shabby when im Done drawing him. does that make sense? I don’t get hung up on making one drawing good because they’re all equally just fun stuff to me. so I fill the entire page

#and then I put the page away forever I stop thinking about it #I have MOUNTAINS of doodle pages #Obviously when I’m trying to draw something I pay attention to it. But I think unthinking doodle pages are essential #Doodle pages are where your brain takes the stuff it learns and goes subconscious with it and THATS where it clicks #Sketchbooks and such. go into it assuming you’ll toss it. Do aggio pages a lot #who cares if it sucks? It’s a doodle page. And then who cares if it’s good? Only you need to! After you’re done #kipspeak #I’m not necessarily saying to devalue your art. But if you get hung up on making art maybe you need to try thinking of it as stuff #and not art. so you can just start to make stuff #stuff is awesome
