Personality: skekSha usually keeps to himself and his studies, rarely interacting with the other skeksis if possible. Whilst he is usually quiet, he does enjoy showing off his knowledge sometimes or telling others about his work. However, he is sometimes awkward when asked about things that do not relate to astronomy, and can get easily flustered. If there is a discussion he dislikes or finds embarrassing, his excuse to discontinue it will be that he "has no time for such things" and that he "must get back to his studies as quickly as possible".

Likes: Astronomy, stars, planets, moons, his telescope, being asked about his studies, having an excuse to talk about space, @asktheskeksisprophet, @asktheskeksisprince, studying the universe, dark colors (especially dark blue, dark purple, black), nighttime, mysterious things, being correct about things.

Dislikes: Being asked very personal questions, being dragged into petty arguments, being interrupted, loud noises, being forced to choose sides with arguments, arguments in general (unless said arguments are "debates" about astronomy), being wrong about things.

UrZo the Mother:

UrZo is SkekSha’s UrRu counterpart. You might all be surprised to hear but in someways UrZo and SkekSha are actually quite similar. UrZo is very motherly to the other Mystics as well as her Mystlings which were born the same time SkekZi, SkekVrie, SkekNi and SkekVex and became their Mystic counterparts. Believe it or not even though she’s a Skeksis, SkekSha also shows these motherly traits as she always is the one who tries to break up arguments between her fellow Skeksis and not to mention she also is a great mother to SkekZi, SkekVrie, SkekNi and SkekVex because as they are growing up she realizes more and more how important her family really is to her and because of that she will go to great lengths to ensure her family’s safety. UrZo is much more laid back. Spending her time using her wisdom to guide her Mystlings; UrZi, UrVrie, UrNi and UrVex rather than getting into the thick of things. UrZo wears light blue silk-like robes. She relies more on her magic to fight rather then a hand held weapon as magic is her strongest suit.

SkekSha and SkekShod Song Fic Ft. SkekSo at the end:

This song fic is inspired by the new song “Lovely Liar” by Stevie Howie but I will be improvising a few words to fit the Skeksis side of things. I highly encourage you guys to check out the actual song as it is really good and worth a listen.

One night SkekSha was heading to her chambers when she was suddenly pulled against a wall by SkekShod and he said acting really suspicious as he knew that another male Skeksis definitely staked their claim to her due to all the love bites on SkekSha’s neck. He then said with an angry hiss as he started to sinisterly sing “Ah, Did you get your fill?” At first SkekSha had no clue what he was talking about as she answered “What are you talking about SkekShod?” Only for him to continue on “How did he make it feel?” To which SkekSha replied understanding now “Oh SkekShod if only you knew.” As she tried to walk away only for him to pin her to the wall again as he continued on “And how did you conceal the moans? Oh I bet it was real.” This started to anger SkekSha a little bit as she said “I don’t have to answer any of that!” To which he replied “Oh I wanna know his name. The one you screamed like Thra’s in vain. Cause I know you don’t have no shame.”

Only causing SkekSha to say with a growl now “SkekShod stop it!” As he only continued on and said “Yeah, tell me when you came to meet him for drinks.” She then said getting more unnerved by this “SkekShod I said stop it! What happens in my personal life is none of your business!” As he again adds on noting the fact that she no longer wears a ring he once gifted to her about a trine ago “Ahh, tell me when you took off the ring.” SkekSha then said “SkekShod I never said I wanted you to get me anything when you gave me that ring plus it wasn’t really fitting my style of fashion sorry to be real with you.” SkekShod however only prodded on as he said “Yeah, how long did it take for him to get you on the floor?” She then finally said “Fine! If you really want to know the details I can start by saying that it didn’t take my admirer long at all.”

SkekShod then went on again as he said “I don’t know how it could be worse then what’s in my head. See a new stain on your side of the bed. Next to a note that you left unread. You were busy doing something else instead.” Only for her to add on “SkekShod you know that bedding other male Skeksis is something I’ve always done since I was given my title by SkekSo himself! Someone needs to keep an eye on the court in away that not even SkekZok can.” Ignoring her however, SkekShod said “You put a black hole inside my mind and I don’t want to fill it with a happy lie. I’d rather hear the worst than a false reply.” To which she replied knowing now that SkekShod now is just provoking her “SkekShod!” Only for him to add on again “Spill it all, baby, don’t be shy.”

SkekSha then turned to leave again feeling annoyed more than anything until SkekShod grabbed her again and said “My lovely liar, I praise you while you’re creeping on me. I almost admire the way you sweeten shit like honey.” She then said with a growl “SkekShod stop it! You do not want to test me!” Only for SkekShod to say back “Do you think I’m that naive?” To which she shook her head as she said “No SkekShod I know you aren’t.” As he answered “To pull the rug out under me? My lovely liar.” To which she said “SkekShod I said stop it!” Only for him to say yet again “My lovely liar, my lovely liar.” She then said finally snapping “SkekShod I am a Skeksis same as you! It is in my nature to lie to other Skeksis. It’s no different than when the rest of you do it. I’m sorry but it’s my job to keep an eye on things as ordered my the Emperor.”

SkekShod then added on again continuing to provoke her “Oh, now you wanna go back?” “Put it in the past?” To which she answered “I never said that SkekShod now if you would please excuse me!” As he added on again “While you still got bite marks on your neck and I’m not the Skeksis who gave you that.” To which she replied “I’m very aware you’re not and I don’t think you really want to know who is because that encounter probably won’t end well for you!” SkekShod though continued on “Can’t go back to before I knew you let another soul get close to you.” This immediately caused SkekSha to answer back “Ah, possessive are we? I knew you were when it came to treasures but I had no idea you felt this way about female Skeksis to SkekShod.” Only for SkekShod to add on for the final time about done with this conversation “Now I don’t want to know what else you did. I think I might actually die from this.” SkekSha thought said being the Peacemaker that she is and trying to resolve the whole thing “No you won’t SkekShod. Eventually you will find the right female Skeksis for you. That Skeksis just isn’t going to be me.”

Just then the two bickering Skeksis hear a dominating and commanding voice say “Treasurer that is quite enough!” This caused SkekShod to jump in surprise until both he and SkekSha turned to see SkekSo standing there as he said “What goes on in the Peacemaker’s personal life is no concern to you. Do I make myself clear?” To which SkekShod slowly nods as he replies “Yes Emperor, very clear.” Not wanting to be on the receiving end of SkekSo’s wrath again SkekShod wisely leaves. Once he does so and SkekSo is sure they are alone he says softly and in a much more loving tone then his normal court tone of voice “Are you alright my love? I overheard everything he said and knew I had to act.” SkekSha nodded in reply as she said “Yes, thanks to you.” Causing SkekSo to reply as he now walked her to her room “If any Skeksis talks like that to you again tell me.” She nodded at this as she said “Yes Emperor, I promise I will” Afterwards, the two fell asleep in SkekSha’s bed. SkekSo feeling extra protective over SkekSha as he protectively wrapped an arm around her.

Birthday Special:

Since today is my birthday I figured I’d do a short story for you guys as SkekSha as you all know is pretty much my Skeksona. It will feature most of the canon Skeksis as well as two Ocs of people who I’ve now made friends with in this wonderful fandom. Enjoy! I will have a drawing done later as well for this scene. I know Skeksis don’t really have birthdays but I thought it would be fun.

It was early morning and SkekSha’s birthday and her four best friends, SkekNor, SkekSiv, SkekLach and SkekEkt had the idea to throw a special surprise party and banquet in her honor. They got SkekSo’s permission of course and he agreed as he too wanted to do something special for her. SkekSo ordered all the Skeksis to help SkekNor, SkekSiv, SkekLach and SkekEkt decorate the throne room while he went to spend time with her and also distract her. He knew she’d be a little suspicious but being her mate, it was the least he could do as if anyone else tried SkekSo was almost certain that they would only make her really suspicious that something was going on or depending on who went to distract her they might spoil it all together so it would be best if he did it himself.

He spent the morning actually offering her cuddles in bed and also reassuring her that she could sleep in if she wanted as it was her birthday after all. All the while keeping a close eye on her. An hour later, SkekSiv came to SkekSha’s room and let SkekSo know that the decorations were finished and SkekSha could come to the throne room now. So he nuzzled her awake and said “Darling, put on your best robes and come with me for a minute.” To which she replied confused by his commands “Why Sire?” Only for him to reply “Because I said so and because you won’t want to miss what I want to show you.” She got dressed after that and once she did, SkekSo covered her eyes with one hand and SkekSha said unsure of what he was doing “What are you doing Sire?” To which SkekSo answered “Do you trust me my love?” She nodded at this as she said “Of course I do.” SkekSo then began guiding her to the throne room.

Once they arrived SkekSo said “Alright darling, you can open your eyes now.” She did as asked and what she saw almost brought tears of joy to her eyes. There was a banner hanging in the throne room that read “Happy Birthday SkekSha” on it and all the Skeksis she trusted there as obviously after all the pain SkekShod and SkekNa caused her SkekSo for sure didn’t want them there ruining her special day and the banquet table was clearly set up in her honor by SkekAyuk. As she looked around the other Skeksis said at once “Happy Birthday Empress!!!” After the other Skeksis said this she teared up a tad as she said “Guys, you didn’t have to do this for me.” Only for SkekSo to answer “Of course we did my love. It’s your birthday after all and we all agreed to make it special.” Before giving her a kiss and he said “Happy Birthday my love.” Before he presented her with a gift that was surprisingly well wrapped.

SkekSha opened it and inside was a beautiful golden necklace with a diamond in the center. She then said with a smile “Thank you Sire, it’s beautiful!” Causing him to smile back as he said “Your welcome darling.” Afterwards he kindly helped her put it on. Then she opened her gifts from the other Skeksis. SkekNor got her a beautiful tail bracelet, SkekSiv got her two matching golden bracelets that matched her crown as well as the first necklace SkekSo ever gifted to her, SkekLach gave her a trinket she got from the Gelfling as an offering that she thought SkekSha might like, SkekEkt made her a beautiful sparkling sky blue robe, SkekZok gave her a nice bracelet with ruby gemstones, SkekSil got her a very nice golden decorative piece for her new robes. SkekAyuk made SkekSha the best cooked Nebrie for her birthday dinner, SkekOk got her a journal as he knew she liked to write in her free time, SkekVar got her a new decorative armor helmet, SkekUng gave her a new sword, SkekSa gave her a new Sifa made charm and SkekMal gave her a decorative fur pelt. As she opened each gift she thanked each of her comrades.

Later that night, when she went to bed SkekSo kindly stayed with her and said as her eyes slowly closed “Good night my love, happy birthday.” To which SkekSha tiredly answered “Thank you Emperor.” Before falling asleep in his arms.

How Skeksis Dream-Fasting in my AU works:

In my Au story on Ao3 I recently introduced the idea that Skeksis have their own version of Dream-fasting after I got the idea brought up to me by a friend. In this blog I will talk about how that is possible with how I’m handling it. So first of all for it to work, Aughra must be preset in order to link the Skeksis that want to talk in this way via their minds. She may not always enter the dream herself but it is the only way a Dream-fast between Skeksis will form. Whichever Skeksis that Aughra is with will tell her who he or she wants brought into his or her mind and she will magically make those or if it’s simply one Skeksis she’ll bring that one Skeksis into the mind of the Skeksis she is with at the time. In Dream-Fast or Dream Space the said Skeksis will always be pulled into the Chamber of the Crystal. Aughra has made this come with a price however. Should a Skeksis be talking with their mate in a Dream-Fast or Dream Space sequence they will be magically linked almost like a Skeksis-UrRu link.

As an example, in the story once SkekSha has her Dream Space sequence with Aughra and SkekSo both present, Aughra magically links their minds. Meaning one will always feel what the other feels, where the other is and know what the other thinks. Again very similar to the Skeksis-UrRu link.

I guess now would also be a good time to talk about a Mother Skeksis and Skekling bond thoroughly too. When a Skekling is born a magical link immediately forms between that Skekling and their mother. Wether it’s Thra itself doing it or the strong instinct a mother Skeksis immediately has to protect and care for her Skeklings is sort of a mystery. Once this link forms (usually when the mother is cleaning her Skeklings the moment after they are born so pretty much from the first touch a Skekling feels from their mother) it is a bond and link that will carry throughout the lives of the mother Skeksis and her Skeklings until their deaths. A magical link can also form between the Skeklings themselves.

This same link also happens between Mystic mothers and their Mystlings too. In terms of Skeklings and Mystling links often times when a Skekling is born so is their Mystic counterpart.

I just thought these would be interesting topics worth talking about from my fanfic so you guys have a better idea.

SkekSha’s Premonition Nightmare:

Here’s a little preview for the next upcoming chapter in my fanfic. SkekSo is a little bit out of character here canon wise but in this AU SkekSha often sees his softer side when the couple are not in the public eye of the court. An AU is an AU for a reason after all.

The following night, SkekSha was fast asleep. SkekSo was sleeping beside her as his ever growing paranoia over her safety grew worse ever since the Castle Guard attack when all of a sudden. He hears SkekSha breathing heavily. This woke him up fully as he looked and saw her tossing and turning a bit in her sleep. She then started making freighted whimpers until she said in her sleep “Mother Aughra, please! I just want to go home!” “I don’t feel safe out here!” She then started sobbing in her sleep and SkekSo knew he had to wake her up. That was until he heard her say “I-I want the Emperor!” Knowing she needed to wake up now before whatever it was she was dreaming about made her more upset, SkekSo said to her softly trying not to scare her “Darling, I’m right here.” He then started to nuzzle her with his beak. Hoping it would work or at the very least comfort her. That wasn’t the case however as he heard SkekSha say “Please! I just want to go home! He needs me! He’ll worry if he finds out I’m out here all alone!” Knowing that this wasn’t working now, SkekSo tried nipping at her neck. Hoping the sensation would wake her up. When that still didn’t work, he had no choice but to shake her awake.

Finally, she managed to wake up and when she did she sat up with a gasp as SkekSo said trying to calm her down “hey, hey, hey sweetheart easy, easy. It’s only me.” She at first gave him a saddened look as he said “Come here, come here, come here my love.” She did as he asked and moved closer until he was able to wrap an arm around her and said “I’ve got you, I’ve got you, you’re just having a nightmare.” He then added on slowly starting to comfort her now “You’re still here you’re safe. You’re still here with me. You’re still in bed. I’ve got you.” She then finally spoke and said “Sire, forgive me, I didn’t mean to wake you.” Only for SkekSo to say reassuringly “hey, no, no, no, no. Don’t do that darling. Don’t apologize for having a nightmare. I am always going to be here to just wake you up so that way you can see that you’re still here with me. I’ve got you sweetheart.” As he started massaging her back a little and said “I promise that I’m never going to let you go. Alright?” She then said as she calmed down “I-I would hate to put you on alert Sire, but I have this feeling that somehow I’ll be kidnapped and I’ll wake up at this very tall tower thing in the Crystal Desert. In my dream I was there by myself until Aughra as well as Rian and his friends showed up. I was so scared since I was so far away from the Castle. Then I tried to get down only to find out there was no easy way to get down without hurting myself. A female Mystic was there too that for some reason I believe might be my counterpart and I don’t know how I figured that out but something tells me that it was. She used her magic to keep me bound to the place. All I wanted was to come back here where I knew I was safe.” She then looked at him as she said “Where I knew you and the Skeklings were. In fact in the dream I remember waking up asking for you for some reason and once I did wake up in my dream it all made sense. Because I wasn’t where I thought I was. It felt so real, baby! Just like the vision the Crystal of Truth showed me. Wh-What if it happens?” To which SkekSo said as he continued to massage her a little even though he snarled a little bit “Darling, I can promise you nothing like that is going to happen. I won’t let it! I will kill any creature that dares take you from me. If it does happen then I won’t rest until you are safely back here in my arms. You got that my love?” She nodded but then said remembering that if he or anyone else did anything to her Mystic counterpart that she too would feel it “But there is one problem. What about my Mystic counterpart? UrZo the Mother I believe her name is. If someone hurts her then I’ll feel it too.” Only for SkekSo to reply “Let’s worry about that when we have to sweetheart. If someone does kidnap you as your dream implies I want you to trust me. It’s the only way I’ll get you back here safely. Can you do that?” She nodded before she answered “Yes Sire, I trust you with my life.”

SkekVex the Overseer:

Meet SkekVex, the Skeksis Overseer and the first born son of SkekSo and SkekSha. Younger brother of SkekZi, SkekVrie and SkekNi. While he looks almost identical to his father, SkekVex has his mother’s eyes. As the Overseer it is SkekVex’s personal job to oversee the doings at the Castle of the Crystal of the other Skeksis and report to his father should he see anyone refusing to follow orders. He takes his job very seriously especially during the rise of the Gelfling Resistance. The youngest of SkekSha’s and SkekSo’s first brood, SkekVex is a total Momma’s Boy. Always looking out for the wellbeing of his mother and sisters particularly when SkekSo isn’t in court. That being said like any other Skeksis he is not afraid to shed a little blood if necessary. A lesson he most certainly learned from his father at a young age. When not on duty you will most likely find this young male Skeksis hanging around his mother a lot as he was particularly attached to her as a newborn Skekling. Always finding her more calm demeanor compared to his father welcoming and comforting.
