Sixty-three year-old Alabama-born force of nature Lonnie Holley emits soothing hymnal vibrations on "Six Space Shuttles and 144,000 Elephants," the first of seven voice and keyboard improvisations on his suitably-titled 2013 release Keeping a Record of It.  Holley conveys spiritual lucidity through unfiltered linear rambling, chanting simple, immediately connectable truths in many meaningless English words.  Quite a lovely contrast of lyric and language.
