Once upon a time

Sinthea “Sin” Schmidt was born during the height of WWII as the hopeful heir to the Red Skull. So it didn’t come as a surprise that the Skull was disappointed when his heir turned out to be a girl instead of the boy he had hoped for. In fact, if it wasn’t for a woman named Susan Scarbo, Sin would have been killed before she could walk. the Skull agreed with Scarbo that the girl could live so long as she raised the girl in his stead. Scarbo raised the girl with the Skull’s ideologies and brought her into the Sisters of Sin, a group of girls that had been orphaned and brought up in the teachings of the Red Skull.

Sin was towards the top of her class, in both academics and in hand-to-hand combat. She was starting to become the acceptable heir to the Skull but during the downfall of the Reich, Red Skull ordered that his daughter be put in a cryo-chamber and woken in the new millennium to carry on his legacy. Little did the Red Skull know that she would be found by SHIELD.

When Sin was woken, the chamber she had been put in had an effect on her memory. SHIELD used it to their advantage to try and turn her into an agent and a valuable asset at that. They placed her in the training of Brock Rumlow, thinking he would be the best fit to turn her into the agent they needed. The only problem was that they grew to be very close, indeed and began a relationship behind closed doors. During this time, Brock told her who she really was and introduced her to the new Hydra.

Sin had an active hand in the fall of Zemo. After helping wean Wanda off of the drugs that were suppressing her magic, she fed tidbits of information to Bucky Barnes to help retrieve those who Zemo kept under lock and key. It didn’t take long for Zemo to get run out and for Sin to take her rightful place as the Head of Hydra. She has run Hydra ever since and Hydra has become more powerful than ever. With base of operations spreading, she keeps SHIELD and the President well under her own thumb.

So funny enough, I originally wrote Echo in 2011 to be the exact opposite of me: loud, obnoxious, unafraid to speak up for herself, blunt. I was a big mousy people pleaser SKDJFSF but the more I wrote Echo, the more I became really empowered? By her actions speaking louder than her words. It’s actually this character that got me into going to the gym and doing runs/cardio. I’m very loud about my convictions and I don’t take shit irl anymore.

Echo’s just as much a part of me as I am of her at this point as she’s the back of my hand (tony stark vc: the suit and i are one). I’m not exactly fans of ‘self-insert’ characters as I mostly just feel like I’m aiding to someone’s fantasy, HOWEVER I feel as though we all choose characters that speak to us for who we wish to be or who we empathize/find cartharsis in. And that’s totally cool.

8. What is the most difficult muse you have ever picked up to write?

The hardest character I ever wrote was SINTHEA SCHMIDT, aka Sin from Marvel comics. I’m obsessed with Brubaker’s arcs, anyone who knows me knows that, so Red Menace has always been a near and dear arc to me. Getting to write a villain in a group setting where I had to basically play 4D chess to make her convincing and actually scary was so hard.

19. What kind of writing partners do you tend to merge well with? Do you like people who communicate, or more impulsive personalities?

People who tend to dive right into headcanon bubbles with me. My best vibes come from those who just hit me with the same amount of plotting energy straight out the gate and come with just as much ideas and excitement as I do. It’s hard to explain?? But straight up if we manage to match vibes in the first few days of chatting with rp, those are the people I tend to become the best of friends with. I need partners who will send me that inspo gifset at 2 in the morning and scream about our pairing while writing threads, so communication with me is key.

That isn’t to say I don’t adore some impulsive, dash-only writing. There are some characters and writers on here I never speak to but our writing just meshes perfectly and I adore them just the same.

Eyes, usually fierce and unyielding, now carried a glassy sheen, a glimpse into the fractures hidden beneath her tough exterior.

"I don't beg for anyone," she declared, the words etched with defiance, a last stand against the vulnerability clawing at her.

Her hands, normally steady and capable, betrayed a subtle tremor, and the facade wavered. The brokenness within her sought refuge behind a mask of toughness, but the cracks were beginning to show.

The cold, metallic taste of blood lingered on Sin's lips as she stepped over the bodies littering the dimly lit warehouse floor. The acrid scent of gunpowder still hung in the air, mingling with the faint stench of oil and decay. It had been a simple enough mission: retrieve the stolen HYDRA intel and eliminate anyone who got in her way. And she’d done it flawlessly, as always.

Yet, there was an unshakable restlessness in her movements tonight. The satisfaction that usually followed a job well done wasn't there. Perhaps it was the way her enemies had screamed, begging for mercy that would never come. Or maybe, it was the sense of futility that gnawed at her—like a caged animal, snarling and restless, yearning for something more than this endless cycle of blood and violence.

Lighting a cigarette, she took a long drag, the ember glowing like a faint heartbeat in the darkness. "They always make it so easy," she muttered, almost bored, as she exhaled a plume of smoke. Her eyes, cold and calculating, flickered toward the shadows at the far end of the room. "You’ve been following me for the past ten minutes," she called out, voice sharp and taunting. "Are you going to make your move, or are you just here to watch?"

There was a pause, the silence pressing in on her like a heavy weight. And then, a figure emerged from the darkness. Her fingers twitched toward her gun, but she didn't draw it—not yet. She was curious. It wasn’t often that people managed to get this close to her without being seen, and that alone made them worthy of at least a few more seconds of her attention.

"Well?" she drawled, tilting her head, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. "What's it going to be?"
