Do you think Gotege had other plans for Sanemi when it came to Gakuen? It’s odd that she would approve him like that, and Gakuen hardly gave us material for the both of them. It’s quite sad and frustrated, and the light novel didn’t help when it came to the “drinking” part

As for how Sanemi is portrayed in Kimetsu Gakuen and the light novels; I 100% agree! Hell, the chapter that is Sanemi focused only features Genya in one single panel while Genya's chapter revolves strongly around Genya's feelings about Sanemi. It leaves a really bad taste in the mouth and gives the impression that Sanemi doesn't care as much.
However, the reason I think it's like that actually has to do with how the marketing wants people to consume their story.
Sanemi's deep devotion to Genya is supposed to be a surprise in the main story. Even the reveal that Sanemi never smelled like he hated Genya is saved until the moment he steps in and saves him.
The difference between Kimetsu Gakuen and the light novels is that you have to go out of your way to get ahold of and read the light novels, so you're unlikely to get spoilers from them before you watch the show. But Kimetsu Gakuen segments were serialized and are published in the JUMP magazine.
It's readily available to people just getting into KNY and they don't exactly want to "spoil" the surprise that Sanemi deeply cares for Genya. As such, I would take Sanemi's actions in the Gakuen spin off with a grain of salt. The light novel is where they really explore Sanemi's inner feelings, which is why I actually like that drinking scene.
Out of everything Sanemi could have done, out of every type of drunk he could have been.
He's the type where he calls up Genya. Yes, it's to lecture him about math. Yes, it's meant to be plaid for laughs. But you know what? It's special to me, because it tells me out of everyone Sanemi could drunkenly call, he wanted to talk to his baby.

B&D Case
B&D is operating from a position of weakness in the Professional-Tradesmen brand. While it has a strong position in the Professional-Industrial and Consumer, the characteristics that are making it a market leader in these segments, namely its service-focus and strong relationships in Industrial and its strong consumer brand in in Consumer, are less applicable here. In fact, the strong brand position in consumer seems to be hurting with the tradesmen segment as those independent contractors do not want to be associated with a consumer brand. However, the tradesmen segment is the fastest growing market segment at 9% (vs. 7% for consumer and 0% for industrial). As a result, I believe that B&D should invest significantly into this segment to at least double its market share, but it will have to do some significant strategic changes to make that possible.
It looks like the main challenge is being associated with a consumer brand. Looking at table D, “proud to own” is the single worst category for B&D, while awareness is extremely high at 98%. I would argue for keeping the B&D name in there given the awareness numbers, but prefacing it with something else. Service is our strongest element, so I like the idea of a “DeWalt – Serviced and Distributed by Black & Decker” brand which also has the strongest purchase intent statistics in our market research. Furthermore, I do think that we need to change the design and make them look extremely differentiated from the consumer product. Changing the name gives us the freedom to do so. I would design the tools as orange rather than yellow, but the main thing is going a fundamentally different route to the black / charcoal which is very similar (and will lead to people getting laughed at on the job). In terms of pricing, I think we should position ourselves a little bit more premium than we are currently doing. Being cheaper than the competition only underscores the perception that our products are worse, so we should price at least at parity to Makita. Looking at the distribution channels, it seems we do have strong relationships with the retails which is why they are giving us the same amount of shelf space as Makita even though they are outselling us. Given that the strategic prerogative is not to move into the membership clubs, we should focus our sales ambitions on Home Depot and the other home centers since this is the fastest growing segment.
