Cannot have a blog about Karachi and NOT post about the new phenomenon known as SINDH FESTIVAL.

Apparently Superman has gone desi and is from Sindh preferring the ajrak as his cape. When he is not Superman (oops I mean Super Saeen) saving the world one saeen moustache at a time, he is Bilawal Bhutto, an unassuming politicians son fighting the battle for Pakistan through democracy *cough cough*

Jokes aside, though I appreciate the "cultural coup" and the promotion through a festival, I am uneasy with the heavy use of "Saeen" in their marketing strategy due to word's root in elitism.
