What's funny about this is that both SimCity and Cities Skylines are simulators, so they could allow you to simulate different economic and urbanist models. This could create really fun gameplay and challenges too.

However that would mean introducing POLITICS like actual classes with interests as well as citizens participating (both by regular 'politics' and by acting by themselves) in the construction of a city, instead of being an almighty mayor who rules undisputed over their lives.

And many city builder fans aren't really interested on that, they just want a green empty field which has never existed anywhere in history so they can build a city and get to the real thing: Solving Traffic.

red evbo design ….. auhhhhhhhhh my boy. i hate him a normal amount

headcanons and longer explainations for the stuff i wrote:

“is colorblind (doesn’t know)” i think it would be SO funny if he thought he was green too. like if he has protanopia. he either spawned in red like this and started making the clones wrong (green) or saw that the clones have clothing matching their eye color and just got that “shade of green” that his own eyes are. mf your eyes are Red.

“the clones have their number on the tag inside the hoodie” self explanatory. parkciv evbo could be #360 LMAO

“injured his hand and tried to fix it (now there’s no skin texture)” i imagine he burnt or cut his hand or some physical scar that you can see but he didn’t want to look different so he tried fixing it in his code or something. and lost the texture. (i mean texture as in like an unfolded minecraft skin. you get it ik you get what im saying.) Also he’s still an evbo so maybe he can be a little bit dumb too

i used the png checkerboard cause it looks better for character design but the minecraft “missing texture” texture is lowkey funnier and more fitting…… but its just so bright (and less ppl would get it probably)

(needed to add some vague unexplained thing that makes him a little non-human. for tumblr sexyman appeal…… and lets be honest for me i cannot have normal human blorbos)

I think Gortash's design is very interesting. Yeah sure even his coat's description mentions "a maddening attention to even the most minute details of the filigree," but what I really enjoy about is the sharpness of it all. Humans are all soft, rounded teeth, round ears, even sharp features are in reality, very soft. Gortash's coat's details are all sharp. You couldn't hug him without several pointy miniature horns poking at you. His right hand, has a metal claw on every finger. If you're not careful, even a handshake with Gortash could draw blood. On his left hand, only the ringfinger and pinky are clawed. A gentle touch from that hand could be followed with a sharp blade cutting skin.

His back however? Completely bare from any decoration. He doesn't think anyone will approach, or even see him from behind. His clothes are meant to be seen standing, in front of a crowd, maybe on a throne. Ruling over everyone. However, it's a strange choice to leave your back so bare from what protects you on all other sides. Maybe he thinks his god has his back. Maybe he knows there's no one there. Maybe his trust in himself and those under his rule is firm enough.

i love you powerful tricksters that don’t know what you want, and i love you powerful tricksters that are just here to have fun, existing as a bright and twisted contradiction in a ruined world. i love you, character foil that disorients the somber protagonist with a smile.

i love you “ecstasy of becoming”. i love hate love you existentialism and limitless questioning. i love you eldritch horror that defies description or classification. i love you volatile manifestation of lies that can only exist with truth at your center. i love you, anything that turns the paradigm of reality upside down and shakes it to see what falls out.

Life by You - The New Age Sims?

Recent announcements indicate that 'Life by You' from Paradox Interactive will be a real competition for The Sims series.

The new game is a huge open world and free building creation and world editing.

The game also offers innovative script and dialogue editors as well as a color wheel known from The Sims 3 and a pattern creator.

In the game world, we can move around by bike, skateboard, car or on foot.

Lots can be placed anywhere and the entire environment can be edited.

Characters can be edited during the game. We can also build a shop, start a business. There are no hidden options here (rabbit holes).

Extensive tools will make it an extremely powerful game with plenty of opportunities for free play.

The competition for the lazy in recent years and repetitive EA ideas has been highly anticipated by the players, so we keep our fingers crossed!
