Took me a while, but I finally sourced the mods I use for Late Night gameplay - you can find the rest of my EP lists all linked here under ‘Modpack Lists’ :)
Firstly, an important note about Bridgeport performance & mods:
Bridgeport is a notoriously unreliable town, I personally only got it to load once I had a big mod cleanout, but I know other people haven't had problems with this, so it seems to be luck of the draw tbh - if you're going to be playing in Bridgeport, I'd recommend limiting your mods to the bare essentials as much as possible - make sure you don't have a whole bunch of script mods installed at once, as that appears to be a contributing factor, and uninstalling resource-heavy mods such as NRAAS Storyprogression has helped others as well - anyways, good luck & I hope you're able to get it to work!
And as always, if you have any other suggestions of mods I should add to this list, please let me know!
With that disclaimer out of the way, onto my modpack for Late Night! ⬇️
EllaCharmed's Fixed Bridgeport
I've heard mixed things about the world fixes, but Bridgeport is so buggy I couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried (I think my mods folder is too big) - some people said this fix worked for them and it's worth a try if you're having issues!
NRAAS Overwatch
This mod is an essential in any sims 3 save - but especially in Bridgeport as cars / sims tend to get stuck way more often!
Faster Elevator Moving / Loading
This can help reduce lag in cities with elevators as normally they take an age
LN Camera Fix
This fixes the issue with the camera in high-rises going all over the place when you're in tab mode, and allows you to control it better - it also removes camera drift & increases the camera lower / maximum placement This mod is incompatible with Aikea Guinea's lower/no drift camera mod - but it has all the same features as that mod, so you can just replace it!
Ani's SimDrinks / 'Get Drunk' Mod / Drunk Walk Version / PhoebeJaySim's Drunk Mod
Gives your sims moodlets / reckless impulsive interactions / mood buffs depending on how much 'juice' they have at the bar, which makes clubbing much more fun imo - the only thing about Ani's mod that's kind of unrealistic is that the moodlets last 24 hours! But for me, the entertainment factor of my sims turning up to work still drunk from the night before is pretty funny, so the length of the moodlet doesn't bother me :P
The 'Drunk Walk' version makes sims walk with the 'pond walk' from Seasons when they have the 'drunk' buff (I'm not sure if seasons is required for this to work, but it might be!)
PhoebeJaySim's Mod is newer and it has quite a few more interactions available!
LazyDuchess's Lot Population Mod
This one is an essential for any town really - but it's especially good in Bridgeport as it means the clubs and so called 'hot spots' actually have other sims in them instead of being completely empty
New Dance Routines Mod
Adds in new dance interactions for sims, using animations from the sims 4 - sims will do these actions autonomously so it adds in a bit more variety for nightclubs
Subway Charge
Does what it says on the tin, sims now have to pay a variable amount for a subway journey based on their age
Less Space Needed for playing Bass
Very small fix that reduces routing issues with sims playing the bass
No Stretch 'Children Can' Series
As well as adding a bunch of interactions from other EPs, this mod also allows ur kiddos to play the instruments that come with Late Night, which is my favourite use of this mod (as it makes no sense to me that kids can't learn the piano until they're teenagers!)
Better 'Lifestyle of the Rich & Famous' LTW
Updates this LTW to make the money goal higher and adds in a 5-star celebrity requirement - making it much better for Late Night gameplay
Celebrity Difficulty Mod
Makes becoming a celebrity variably more difficult depending on what version you choose - this also makes the celeb system less annoying as your sims have much less of a chance of accidentially becoming famous This mod also alters what actions are seen as 'disgraceful', so getting divorced or having a child out of wedlock will no longer make your sim be banished from society
Bouncers want bigger bribes
This list is becoming 'how to make your sims lives harder' but that's just how I like to play my game lol I love a struggle - anyway this mod does what it says on the tin - bouncers want higher bribes so your sim genuinely won't be able to get into an exclusive lounge if they're broke (which makes gameplay much more realistic)
Only Papparazzi / Occult can 'Eat Cake' from Cowplant
This mod is really silly, but I love it because it means you can pop a cowplant outside your celebrity houses to act as a bodyguard against paparazzi - which I think is just a really fun feature bc paps are annoying asf and there's not really another way to protect against them lol
🦇Vampire Mods:🦇
sHoNi's Vampire Overhaul
I personally use Bite, Minor Things and Thirst - it alters some things about vampires that used to be small annoyances for me (eg: you now don't have to ask to bite sims, you can just attack them - which makes much more sense!)
Nraas Vampires & Slayers (Storyprogression Module)
Contains a bunch of new 'personalities' for NPC vampires, this basically makes them a bit more dangerous / impactful to the gameplay of your town as NPCs will convert other sims to be vampires etc
Dead People Don't Glow
This stops vampires having that visual 'glow' override that can look kind of weird and yellow/greenish - this mod has been said to work for some peoples games and not others, I have no idea why that is, but it works for me on the most recent patch! I'd recommend putting it in your 'overrides' folder instead of your main 'packages / mods' folder as that appears to make a difference for some if it's not working
Silent Vampire Run & Powers
Turns off the noise for some of the vampire effects - which can get obnoxious / annoying after a while if you're playing with a main sim who's a vampire
Human lifespan for supernatural sims
Some people love the fact that vampires (and other occults) are basically immortal in TS3 - I'm not one of them as I usually play vampires in households with other human sims and it annoys me that they don't age, this mod makes it so that they live a normal lifespan :)
NectarCellar's Vampire CC: Default Replacement Bite & Accessory Fangs
This is not a mod - but I couldn't help but put this CC in here because it really improves the look of Vamps imo!

As I'm doing a rags-to-riches challenge atm for gen 3 of my Random Legacy, I've been looking into mods that make the off-grid experience in TS3 a bit more realistic
I hope this list will be especially useful as a resource for anyone doing rags-to-riches, runaway teen, midnight sun, zombie apocalypse or any other similar challenge which requires your sim to live off the land - I personally love this gameplay style, and I hope this is useful for others too!
As always, if anyone has any suggestions of mods / CC I should add to this list, let me know and I'll update it - it's definitely not exhaustive by any means :)
Mods:
Moar Interactions by Buzzler on MTS
I recommend this mod regardless of if you're playing off-the-grid because it adds a bunch of great stuff, but the interactions particularly useful for this gameplay style are 'work overtime' at the small businesses around town, allowing your sim to earn a bit of extra cash without being officially employed, and also the ability to 'cancel the carpool / schoolbus' (because a carpool wouldn't agree to pick your sim up from their camp in the middle of the woods)
Nraas Careers via Nraas Industries
This mod allows your teen / child sims to be enrolled in home-schooling, which makes much more sense if they're living as a runaway - tutorial for how to assign them to homeschooling is here - I also reccomend using storyprogression to disable curfew for your teen sims if you're playing them as a runaway (tutorial here)
Nraas GoHere via Nraas Industries
This might be a bit random - but this mod is an abseloute lifesaver if your sim doesn't have a car, you can force them to walk long distances without automatically getting in a taxi (best used when combined with the taxi charge mod - linked below)
One with Nature by Spherefish on MTS
This mod is basically the GOAT for off-grid gameplay - it adds the ability to sleep on the floor, pee on the floor, have sponge baths in the ocean / swimming pool and also to relax / daydream on the ground
Pay for the gym by ani on MTS
Some people won't like this one as it definitely makes runaway / rags-to-riches challenges a lot more challenging, but in combination with the other mods I think it makes sense to charge for hot showers when your sim could just go for a wild swim instead!
No Fridge Shopping via Nraas Industries
No more magically buying ingredients from the fridge - your off-grid sim has to grow the produce themselves or go to the supermarket if they want to cook!
Taxi Charge & Subway Charge on MTS
Challenges such as runaway teen require you to buy a flamingo every time your sim takes a taxi - this removes that requirement as your sim gets automatically charged 6-20 simoleons depending on their age - Subway Charge does the same for your Bridgeport sims
No Stretch Children Can Series by Kapaer on MTS
I always recommend this mod for general gameplay anyway, but it's especially useful if you've got kids in your household for offgrid living, they're no longer completely useless!
Attend University online by TwinSimming on Tumblr
Similar to the homeschooling option from nraas careers (linked above), this allows your sim to attend university entirely from the comfort of their computer - they do still have to pay for the degree though!
Off-Grid Inventing Overhaul by SimState on MTS
Allows your inventor sims to create household objects through the inventing table - so you don't have to save up to buy them if your sim is crafty enough!
Ani's Various Mods
I particularly recommend the 'mountain bike' mod which allows your sims to ride a bike around without roads, as well as the 'ration box' mod & 'consignment'
Sleep on Sofa / Bench by Sammonsim on MTS
Scroll down to post #22 in this thread to get the link to this mod - it basically allows your sims to get a full nights sleep on a sofa / bench without having to queue up 50 'nap' interactions
Functional Wells / Off Grid Plumbing & Functional Washboard
This makes your sim have to collect buckets of water from a well if they want to shower / wash the dishes etc. The functional washboard allows them to wash their clothes in a less mechanical way, I reccomend using Danjaley's functional well cc in addition to the plumbing mod as it adds a few more options for your style of lot
Custom Content:
Pallet bed set on tumblr
BionicZombie's Basement Treasures TS4 conversio
Travel Items by Everlasting Garden
Working Futon on MTS
Hollow bee tree on MTS
Camping time set by Toreno
Around The Sims 3:
Camping Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 Eco Living TS4 Conversion Into The Wild Trashes & Bonfires / Part 2 Stray Life City / Stray Life Woods Beer Keg / Wine Barrel Squat Bedroom
Twinsimming:
Into the wild set TS4 Werewolves conversion
Simzoo:
All-In-One Bush / Toilet bush Rock / Bucket sink Log Bench / Bench 2 / Rock Stool / Wood Box Cushioned Seat Tree Dresser Haystack bed / Log bed Single table-style counter Raft pool lounger Firepit set
TheSimsResource:
Disclaimer: I do not endorse or condone using this website, unfortunately a lot of great CC for TS3 is locked behind it due to the age of the game - so I've linked some of it here, but I recommend using a reliable adblocker (personally I use Ublock Origin for firefox) before visiting it / downloading anything
Hayloft bunk-bed More Mailboxes (These are a lot less space-consuming than the default mailbox, and I like to either attach them to trees or just hide them in bushes on my off-grid lots lol) The homeless pet set Trapper Bedroom All of cyclonesue's stuff for urban environments

I've decided to make this a series! I'll be doing a modpack list for each EP - you can find them all linked here under 'Modpack Lists' :)
If you have any other suggestions of mods I should add to this list, please let me know!
Onto my recommended mods for Ambitions! ⬇️
Simler90's Gameplay Systems Core Mod
This mod adds a whole load of fixes for random bugs, but specifically fixes the firefighter career which is notoriously incredibly buggy to play for most people!
Twinsimming's Dirty Laundry Mod & Kap's Children Can: Do Laundry
Twinsimming's laundry mod adds a bit more incentive for your sims to actually do laundry! If a load hasn't been done in a while, they begin to complain about stale clothes & start getting smelly - Kap's children can series is great overall - But they specifically have a module just for laundry which means your kids can help out around the house a bit more
SimmerZoZo's No autonomous reaction to simbots
Sims dropping everything they're doing to react to a simbot (even when they've met the simbot before) is incredibly annoying when there's a simbot in the household - this mod fixes that annoyance!
Off-The-Grid Inventing
Allows your inventor sim to create functional objects such as ovens, fridges etc. - Also adds a few minor improvements to the inventing skill like being able to buy larger quantities of scrap
Fewer Thank-You Calls for Firefighters
There are several flavours to choose from with this mod, you can disable thank-you calls altogether or choose a lower percentage chance that they will happen, either way, it makes them less annoying!
No Ghost Ambience & Scarier Ghosts
These are two mods which improve the ghost-hunting profession! The 'No Ghost Ambience' is just a small fix which makes ghosts a bit less noisy, but the 'Scarier Ghosts Mod' can cause hauntings to be deadly for your sims if they're not careful!
Ghost Catching Skill Mod
This adds a skill journal for ghost catching to the game, along with some skill challenges for your sims to complete! This feels like it should have been a feature which came with the expansion and fits in very well with vanilla-ish gameplay :)
XCAS Expanded Tattoo Locations OR Nraas Expanded Tattoo Locations
These mods both do exactly the same thing, which is allow for tattoos to be placed in more locations on your sims - which variation you go for depends on whether you have Nraas MasterController or not, I personally use the Nraas MC version but if you don't have that mod then I'd recommend the other one instead

I always get asks about what mods I use, and as I've been playing World Adventures recently for the Completionist LEPacy challenge, I've been trying to compile some mods specific to that expansion - I thought I'd share all the ones I've found here so anyone else who is new to WA can have some recommendations!
If this ends up being useful to anyone, I'm happy to make one of these mod pack lists for each EP - let me know if that's something you'd like!
Also, if anyone has any more suggestions on mods I should add to this list, please let me know and I'll include them!
Nraas Traveller
This mod overhauls the travel system and allows all types & ages of sims to travel, and also allows travel to any EA or custom world you have installed, not just the 3 standard vacation ones - so your sims could take a vacation in Sunlit Tides or Monte Vista if they want to!
PotatoBalladSims distant terrain fix for France & Qahne's Smaller Eiffel Tower
These mods are both just small aesthetic changes for France, the first one fixes blocky trees in the distance and the second one makes the Eiffel Tower a way more realistic size
TheBleedingWoodland's Shang Simla Icon Fix
This changes Shang Simla's icon to the Forbidden City which is actually located in China
Twinsimming's Take Practice Shots Mod
The photography skill can be so tedious to level up as you have to take photographs manually, this mod makes it much easier as you can leave your sims to idlly practice photography like they can do with any other skill
OutOfIdeas' More Unique Adventures Per Day
I was having a big problem where I would go to a country in search of a specific adventure to unlock a tomb & have to return home 8 days later, having nothing come up on the adventure board during my sims stay - this mod fixes that annoying problem as it allows for more adventures to appear each day, there are several flavours to choose from so it's totally customisable with how 'cheaty' you want to go!
NanaBx3's fishing box chest fix
There used to be a small chance that sims would reel in a treasure box when going fishing, but the feature got borked in one of the patches years ago and was never fixed - this mod makes it more likely you will come across this cool feature, it features additional items to be discovered in treasure boxes if WA is installed
LowMotivesWarning's Not-So-Weak Mummies
This ups the athletic ability of mummies & likelihood of your sim getting cursed to make them much more dangerous & threatening
StrexSims More Townies for Vacation Worlds
This is not technically a mod as it's a pack of sims, but it basically allows for more of the sims walking around town to fit in with the aesthetics of that neighbourhood - if you like this pack I strongly recommend checking out this creator's other townie packs, as they've released them for most EA worlds!
Nectar Combinatorics
Minor improvement to the nectar-making skill that makes it more user-friendly, adds the option to experiment with random fruit until your sim works out some good combinations - then they can just add garuanteed 'good' fruit combinations to the machine rather than endlessly experimenting with fruit to find out what combos work
[Requires Late Night] Default Replacement Nectar Glass
Replaces the nectar tumbler glass with a much nicer looking wine glass, this does require LN to work otherwise the glass will be invisible!

Hello! May I ask how you have your NRASS settings for your decades challenge? And how you cater your game in the sims 3 with the challenge
Hello anon!
Thank you for this question, I wouldn't consider myself an expert on medieval-style gameplay at all lol there are definitely many more people in the community more knowledgable than me! But I've done my best to detail some resources along with my NRAAS settings below, I hope this helps! <3
In terms of how I cater my game for the challenge, I have a lot of historical replacements and cc which make things look more immersive,
If you want a few recommendations:
Zoe22's Off-Grid Plumbing, Buzzler's Scribbling Pad & Functional Washboard
All of Danjaley's stuff! They've been the GOAT in the sims 3 medieval community for a long time and have some great CC including lots of defaults, their CC finds blog is also a fantastic resource for other peoples stuff
JoojConverts also has some great medieval (and other historical periods) clothing & objects
Omedapixel has some essential historical defaults and other great medieval CC!
MsPoodle has some great historical defaults and medieval CC
This sims medieval total object conversion pack & this functional fireplace / cauldron conversion are really great bits of CC converted from TSM
Declaration of Dramas has some fab medieval CC along with a few medieval mods to enhance your gameplay, such as adding a whole religion system!
Ani's Sims has lots of mods which fit in really well with medieval-style gameplay, adding hunting, digging for treasure, blacksmiths, woodcutters and loads more!
Random Default Replacements: Clothesline / Fishing Rod / Music Tips Jar / Paintings / Baby Blanket
Arsil's no cellphones mod / No answer calls mod are really useful as cellphones are one thing which just break my immersion so much!
The carpool disabler is also pretty useful
Feyerin made a bunch of medieval-style careers to be used in conjunction with the NRAAS careers mod
The Merrye Makers on MTS have made a whole bunch of medieval CC and mods I really reccomend!
Technical Stuff: Sims medieval music, UI & CAS room
═══════════════════════════════════════════
I've listed my changed NRAAS settings below, they are mostly the same as the ones listed on my nraas settings page, I've only listed the ones which are different below - so be sure to check out my main settings page first!
Storyprogression:
Caste Options -> Teenagers
Pregnancy: Allow Participation -> True Romance: Allow Marriage -> True
General Options -> Options: Money
Options: Fees and Support -> Child support payment -> 0 Daily fee per household sim -> 0 Elder support payment -> 0 Social secuity per elder -> 0 Welfare per child -> 0
Options: Purchasing -> Purchase bicycles minimum -> 100 Purchase canes -> True Disallowed Cars -> (All 'modern looking' cars have been disabled, leaving a few CC options such as horse and carts, sleighs, bikes etc.)
Town Options ->
Pregnancy: Base number of children -> 5 Pregnancy: Maximum number of children -> 10 Pregnancy: Newborn last name -> Father Pregnancy: Rename Newborns -> True (I like to give them historically accurate names) Romance: Legacy Marriage Name -> False Romance: Marriage Name -> Husband Romance: Marriage Name: Same-Sex -> No Change (If a same-sex couple does get married, I like to view it as a 'secret marriage' between them, which is not officially on paper)
Woohooer
Try-For-Baby -> Species: Human
Allow Same Sex Try For Baby -> False
And that's pretty much everything! It's been a while since I've played the decades challenge tbh so I'm not that caught up with the medieval community, but I hope the resources I've listed above are helpful :)
