#repost @simonbailly Simon Bailly (Lyon, France). I am a fan of the rather surrealistic animal representation in Bailly's work.

And who is yours? (Fav revolutionaries)
my favorite as in the one I think is the most interesting will always be marat. he just had so many crazy things happen to him, AND he was a based journalist (if a little biased). I also have a soft spot for saint-just bc imo we're a lot alike. robespierre and desmoulins I like about the same amount, which is still quite a bit. it looks like I like robespierre more since I spend so much time and energy defending him on the interwebs but nobody's calling desmoulins a mass murderer so I don't have to do that for him. I also really like pauline leon, simone evrard, and claire lacombe.
mid-tier in no particular order are le bas (purely because I don't know as much about him), jacques roux (too violent for marat which means too violent for me), herault (he seemed cool for renouncing the aristocracy), condorcet (based when it came to women's rights, cringe for being a girondin), bailly (based for the tennis court oath, cringe for being a girondin), thomas paine (based for joining the rev, cringe for being a girondin), and couthon (was a really cool guy except for his big legal oopsie)
now onto the guys I really hate. everyone who participated in the thermidorian reaction is on my shitlist for either being a traitor or a gullible idiot. carrier is an asshole for nantes. danton was corrupt in general and married a literal ass child (when he was in his 30s). hebert was gross with what he said about marie antoinette, and even I, a certified marie antoinette hater, can admit that was fucked up. brissot was a warhawk and did a lot of damage. fabre d'eglantine was corrupt and a fraudster.
sorry this ended up being Ash's Opinions On 200 Year Old Guys, but that was kinda what you asked for so... lol? :)
