In my own unknown space, a little corner for myself. This is where I pretend to be pretentious and deep and full of thought. Potentially updated from the likes of my depressing bedroom while I sit surrounded by all the junk I need to unpack after getting back from college for the summer. Maybe I'm listening to the Magnetic Fields right now, you'll never be able to tell (unless you find my AirBuds). This could even be an exploration of my connection with my own culture that I've been so isolated from. Can you tell I'm an English speaker trying to embrace my mother's language?

Silver Jews first came to my attention via the Pavement connection, and they were on Drag City so hey, they had to be cool.

It was only later I understood that it was David Berman (not the Pavement dudes) that was the talent behind this outfit. Not that this tongue-in-check press release helped illuminate things for me. But I really enjoyed the comic on the back by one “DC Berman.” Hmm...

Just finished this commission for a sister Silver Jews fan (and sister Laura!) @lanactrlaltdelrey , who requested a “Jagged Skyline of Car Keys” tapestry woven with colors from Silver Jews and Purple Mountains album covers- such a brilliant idea! Thanks for breaking me out of my usual color palette, Laura! This green is fantastic and I loved working with all these colors and weaving this for you!
