How was aquaman a bad father/mentor? Also did aquaman ever see Garth as his son?

Well, before death of a prince, Arthur was mostly bad in the way all of the mentors were bad. In that they yknow,, let children fight bad guys with them and actively encouraged that actually.

But other than that, Arthur was a decent guardian! I know I tend to shit on Arthur sometimes but he honestly didn't do that bad of a job raising Garth. He insisted that Garth go to school, helped him out with his school work, did the bare minimum in feeding and housing him (well,,, they lived in a cave for a while but still), encouraged him to be friends with the titans, supported him when he wanted to be independent with Tula, consistently protected and comforted him,, I mean, as far as dc guardians go, Arthur was actually pretty good yknow?

Arthur being a Bad Dad to garth really did start with death of a prince. Like when I say that completely fucked their relationship forever, I mean it.

As for Arthur seeing Garth as a son,,, honestly, I think it's a little up for debate. His dialogue in death of a prince definitely outright says that he doesn't, but personally, I think that had more to do with Arthur being a little immature and emotionally dense. He did think of Garth as a son, he just didn't realize it until after he tried to kill him aldhg

Look I like Roger enough, I understand what he represents and I generally don’t think he was a bad dude. I do however think he was shit at interpersonal relationships because, what the fuck. Whitebeards crew is infinitely more well adjusted and I’d say he arguably had the more traumatic death.

Like what even, what kind of planning leads a 53 year old man to sire a child knowing he is dying of an incurable illness and is about to turn himself in to be excuted by the marines where he will cause so much chaos it is literally still turning the world on its head 22 years later. He knew he was going to cause so much of a stir that he literally disbanded his crew and told them to spread far and wide to keep them safe. Because he knew the marines would hunt them far and wide But yet he still brought a baby into the world. Babe. What the fuck? What even is that? What was the thought process. I sincerely hope it was an accident and not a deliberate attempt to bring about a new era.

- Peregrine "Peri" (he/him): "half-elf" abjuration wizard (he's a changeling but I made his save before I learned about that giant multiverse species mod); romancing Gale. I'm almost done with his save, I just have, like, 3.5 quests to do (including two(?) boss fights). His game will be the first finished one. Does not have the volo eye

- Io (they/she): seldarine drow cleric of Eilistraee; probably going to romance Astarion? Maybe? They're my tav for a shared save and we're not very far yet (haven't even hit the goblin camp) so we'll see lol. I refuse to give her the volo eye

- Candor (he/him): tiefling bard (I cannot for the life of me remember what subclass); just finished the goblin camp; romancing Shadowheart (be bi do crimes etc etc). Has the volo eye

- Balsam (any pronouns): human draconic bloodline sorcerer; my honour mode tav! Not sure how far they're gonna make it...even just the temple ruins have been rough so far. Hasn't even met volo yet

- Diodore "Dora" (she/her): underdark drow oath of ancients paladin; romancing Astarion; just about to hit the last set of fights in Act II. She's a follower of Corellon and would have been a cleric if underdark drow weren't locked into Lolth. Has the volo eye

Nobody speak to me. I just realized the implications of lilia becoming softer after adopting silver. Malleus never had a loving father figure… he only had lilia. Seeing his mentor become a father to somebody else—a human—must’ve deepened the hole in his heart…
