I just learned that the Silksong April 2nd thing was apparently a troll by William.

I'm not really someone who's been obsessing over news. I've not gotten upset at the devs for the wait or lack of communication before, and I'm perfectly content to wait however many years it takes. But this really rubs me the wrong way. I have seen how desperate other parts of the fanbase are for any news, and Team Cherry must have known that people were going to latch onto what William was tweeting. It honestly feels really shitty to give no information for years, and then joke and get people's hopes up for a troll. And then that they didn't say to the community directly that it was a troll, they told a youtuber who then tweeted about it. idk it's kinda shitty. I can understand why people are mad at Team Cherry this time.
