What's the F for in Silent Hill F?

Since the announcement of the new Japan-set Silent Hill game called "Silent Hill f," many have speculated on what the "f" could stand for. Could it be the symbol for forte like in music? Or perhaps the bad grade that Hinako Shimizu got that spirals her guilt into the otherworld? Or with the new trailer being utterly full of Flowers, could it stand for "filament," the floral component that holds the anther of the stamen in place?

In fact it is none of these things.

The "f" in Silent Hill f is a reference to the cycle of life and death, in which F is traditionally used to pay respects to the dead. The new game is said to have several mechanics and puzzles revolving around the lingering effects the dead have on the living, and on repairing the disrespect the player character has given certain deceased elders who haunt her and would drag her into their twisted but florist-approved hells.

It may also just be that F is the 6th letter, and this will be the 6th Silent Hill game to not completely suck.
