I think I’m gonna make the would-be Selkie character a Piskey though. His name is Asa, bc I saw it in a documentary on Prohibition today and also I’ve been playing The Arcana and it’s close to Asra.
Former (several life times ago) lover for my Fiona Sidhe who spent the Interregum on Earth hiding out with the Scathach, shows up again because they both have a healthy dose of Remembrance and he has some sort of yet unplotted warning for her.
They may or may not sleep together once for old times sake but then it just turns into a really sweet platonic, healthy, good natured bond because I really want to dig into what “undying love” looks like for a high-key Romantic Fiona when they are simultaneously immortal and have a tendency to die every 20-30 years.
If every life time you get a new family, a new background, maybe have your memories maybe don’t, and there’s no guarantee you reincarnate near your past true love or that they aren’t 60 going on 40 when you’re in the body of a 12 year old, if your new self falls in love again... what really does happen when you meet four or five lifetimes down the road?
Do you still love them? With all the oaths your past heart swore? What does that look like?

For instance, my fun-loving, Adrenalin junkie C:tD Sidhe Knight with Dragon’s Ire, 5/5 Melee/ 4/5 Brawl/ 4/5 Athletics, 7/5 Appearance, Overconfidence flaw, Curiosity flaw, Impatience Flaw, and a House Boon that says she literally can only feel fear when a person she loves is threatened?
So, so much going to steal from the Telluric/ Draconic / Flamesiren kiths in C:tL for flavor. The beauty of a burning star, the wrath of a dragon.
As for Mantle... at first glance, she’s very much a late-spring to early summer sort of character. Spring Court of course being growth, renewal, desire, romance, etc, while Summer Court is wrath, challenge, strength, champions and defenders. Her (Changeling) surname is literally Summerstar.
But if I’m going all the way and adding a resurgence of “Lesser” fae courts in the wake of the crumbling of political power in the Seelie and Unseelie courts...
she might also fit into Dawn?
She might flit around all three for the majority of...whatever the fuck it is I’m planning out right now.
This character is such the antithesis of me, and she’s such fun to write every time, because she’s so wonderfully callous (in over the top, Fae-typical ways... but not when *in love*) and noble and reckless and openly-feeling.
