Something about OFMD season 2 episode 1 just hit me...

So, Stede is writing letters to Ed and flinging them into the sea, expressing his love and longing in this incredibly romantic, futile way.

During the wedding raid, Strawberry Letter 23 is playing, which is a song written from the point of view of a person writing a reply to their lover's last letter. Even in the midst of rampage, Ed is still filled with so much longing of his own.

These beautiful, devious fucks. The music cues in this show are so perfect it makes my head explode.
