Mr. Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Sports & Youth affairs was the Chief Guest at the event.
Dr Rajeev Tyagi Prochancellor & the Official representative of Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri welcomed Mr. Anurag Thakur by gifting him a Pátka, Turban & a replica of Ram Temple.
The Sports & Youth Affairs Minister, Mr Anurag Thakur, the Founder President of Venkateshwara Group, Dr Sudhir Giri, and the Prochancellor, Dr Rajeev Tyagi, inaugurated the event. They lit a lamp in front of the portrait of Mother India.
State IT cell Coordinator Mr. Narendra Bharti & the BJYM President Mr Shubham Chaudhary joined them to unveil the Youth Dialogue Conference-2024.
The CG I & B Minister Mr Anurag Thakur asserted through youth power, India is once again on track to become a world leader. We are spearheading to become the third biggest economy in the world. USA, Britain & European counties are rolling a red carpet to welcome India professionals. This depicts a strong & resurgent India.
He exhorted youth to rise above caste, creed, region & religion & give their 100 percent towards nation development. He defined the youth as the pillar of progress and encouraged them to contribute to nationalism by voting in the upcoming elections.
Those present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Advisor Mr RS Sharma, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Divya Girdhar, Dr Yogendra Sharma, Dr Ashutosh Singh, Dr Om Prakash Gosai & Dr Rahul Kumar.

Dixit made her film debut in ‘Abodh (1984) and received wider public recognition with Tezaab (1988). In 2014 she was appointed the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in India.

Shri Venkateshwara University and the state of UP emerged victorious in the National Baseball Championship 2023 at Bhopal.
It was a historic day for Shri Venkateshwara University and the state of UP as the UP baseball team, led by Dr. Sudhir Giri, President of UP Baseball Federation & Chairman Venkateshwara Group, emerged victorious in the National Baseball Championship 2023 at Bhopal.
The Uttar Pradesh Baseball team won the Gold medal & a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh by defeating Uttarakhand in the finals.
The UP team played well to outshine Chandigarh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh & Uttarakhand in the finals to clinch the National Baseball Championship 2023.
Emboldened by the win, Dr Sudhir Giri announced the Venkateshwara Group will offer cash prize and scholarships to the medal winning team at the upcoming International South Western league to be held at Mexico from September 02.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi Pro chancellor Shri Venkateshwara University & the official representative of Dr Sudhir Giri elaborated that the UP team outclassed Haryana, Chhattisgarh & Punjab in league, quarter & semi-final matches respectively.
In the finals, UP defeated the defending champion Uttarakhand by 3-1 and for the first time became national champions.
He announced that the along with traditional sports like wrestling, Kabaddi & hockey, the Venkateshwara Group is providing a launching platform for various games and championships.
On UP becoming the national baseball champion, there was a beeline of people congratulating Dr Sudhir Giri who is the President of UP Baseball Federation & a sports enthusiast.

Le ministère des Sports a suspendu samedi le secrétaire adjoint de la Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), Vinod Tomar, suite aux allégations de harcèlement sexuel et de corruption des grapplers contre le chef de l'organisme sportif, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Il a décidé de suspendre Tomar, "avec effet immédiat, pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de WFI". Le ministère a déclaré qu'il avait également ordonné au WFI de suspendre "toutes les activités en cours avec effet immédiat", y compris le tournoi de classement à Gonda, UP, le fief de Sharan.

Avant que les lutteurs n'acceptent de mettre fin à leur manifestation, l'Association olympique indienne avait formé vendredi son propre comité de sept membres, dirigé par MC Mary Kom, pour enquêter sur les accusations portées contre Sharan.
Le panel de l'IOA a été constitué alors même que le sit-in de protestation des lutteurs entrait dans le troisième jour.
Outre la boxeuse légendaire Mary Kom et le lutteur Yogeshwar Dutt, le panel comprend l'archer Dola Banerjee et le président de la Fédération indienne d'haltérophilie (IWLF) et trésorier de l'IOA Sahdev Yadav.
Le comité de l'IOA compte également deux défenseurs - Talish Ray et Shlok Chandra
- en plus de l'ancien navetteur et co-secrétaire de l'IOA, Alaknanda Ashok, qui en est la vice-présidente.
La décision a été prise lors de la réunion d'urgence du Conseil exécutif de l'AIO, à laquelle ont assisté des personnalités comme le tireur champion olympique Abhinav Bindra, le médaillé de bronze olympique Yogeshwar, ainsi que le président de l'AIO PT Usha et le co-secrétaire Kalyan Chaubey.

It was a memorable day for Shri Venkateshwara University as the Kickboxing federation of India (Under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) nominated Dr Rajiv Tyagi, our Pro chancellor, its Associate Vice President.
The International Kickboxing Tournament 2022 kicked off at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on Nov. 3 wherein Sports Ministers, Presidents of Sporting association, & the Sports Secretary IAS Mr. Jitendra Yadav was present.
In the presence of International coaches, & players the Chairman of Kickboxing federation Santosh Agarwal, Croatian Minister Romeo Deza, South Korean Kim Harris, & International Poet Dr. Dinesh Raghuvanshi the Sports Secretary Mr. Jitendra Yadav nominated & honored Dr Rajiv Tyagi.
In the first two days of the event, Indian players both in the Men’s & women’s category defeated Jordan & Korean players & advanced to the next round.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi received the honor for promoting sports among youths, especially girls & encouraging them to take part in national & international events.
Dr Tyagi thanked the Sports Minister, Mr. Anurag Thakur & Mr. Santosh Agarwal & dedicated his nomination to the entire Venkateshwara family.
On his feat, Dr Rajiv Tyagi asserted that it’s the clear vision of our Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, that Venkateshwara students should take part in national & international sporting events in large numbers.
He informed that our students have represented the country at many international events.
Those present included the Sports Secretary Mr. Jitendra Yadav, ACP Ranjay Singh & the MD of NBCC Mr. Mahesh Bansal along with players & dignitaries from various countries.
Those congratulating the Pro-chancellor included the Officiating Vice Chancellor Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, & Dr C P Kushwaha.

Asha Parekh to be conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, investiture on Friday

New Delhi , September 27 (AF): Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Tuesday announced that the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2020 would be accorded to legendary actress Asha Parekh.
A jury comprising of veteran singer Asha Bhosle, award-winning singer Udit Narayan, veteran actress Poonam Dhillon, actor-turned-MP Hema Malini, and Kannada director-producer TS Nagabharana came to this decision.
Thakur while making this announcement in Hamirpur said "it is a matter of pride for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to announce this prestigious award for the veteran actress."
Asha Parekh is a renowned film actress, director, producer, and accomplished Indian classical dancer. Starting her career as a child actor she made her debut as a lead heroine in Dil Deke Dekho and has gone on to act in over 95 movies. She has acted in celebrated films like Kati Patang, Teesri Manzil, Love in Tokyo, Aya Saawan Jhoom Ke, Aan Milo Sajna, and Mera Gaon Mera Desh.
Parekh is a winner of Padma Shri, awarded to her in 1992. She also served as the head of the Central Board for Film Certification from 1998-2001.
Instituted in 1969 when presented to Devika Rani, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was introduced by the Government of India to commemorate Dadasaheb Phalke's contribution to Indian cinema who directed India's first full-length feature film, Raja Harishchandra in 1913.
Honoured with the highest award in the field of cinema, the recipients are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Indian cinema. The award comprises a Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) medallion, a shawl, and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, the Directorate of Film Festivals' website said. It falls under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
President Droupadi Murmu will bestow the award on September 30 along with the National Film Awards.
The award for best actor for 2020 is shared between Suriya for 'Soorarai Pottru' and Ajay Devgn for the Hindi movie 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'.
Manoj Muntashir has won the award for Best Lyrics for the Hindi movie 'Saina'.
The best feature film award has been bagged by the Tamil movie 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara. 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' grabs the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. (AF)
