Shreyas Talpade denounces death hoax and expresses daughter's concern for his health: "Don't joke around at the cost of others"

Shreyas Talpade, a Bollywood actor, was the victim of a death hoax, a distressing experience that has had a lasting impact on him and his family. The actor, who recently attended the trailer presentation for Kangana Ranaut's Emergency, took to Instagram to clarify the incorrect and destructive notion.

In a passionate statement, Talpade voiced his regret and displeasure at the spread of such disinformation. He underlined the real-world ramifications of the fraud, notably for his young daughter. After dealing with the fear of his father's heart attack in 2023, the child's concerns have grown as a result of this harsh and irresponsible behavior.

Talpade's post states, "My small daughter, who attends school every day, is already concerned about my well-being, always asking questions and seeking reassurance. This erroneous news just exacerbates her worries, pushing her to face additional questions from her friends and teachers, eliciting emotions that we've been attempting to manage as a family."

The actor also emphasized the greater implications of such hoaxes, saying, "To those who promote this content, I implore you to pause and ponder the consequences. Many individuals have sincerely prayed for my well-being, and it's distressing to see humor utilized in ways that can harm feelings, cause distress in my loved ones, and disturb our lives."

The actor ended his tweet with a forceful message to the trolls, asking them to stop spreading such damaging trash. "Don't joke around at the cost of others, and don't do this to anyone else," his letter read.

Shreyas Talpade's upcoming film, Emergency, will star former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and is expected to be released on September 6.

The movie needs no introduction. It is but, of course, the story of an Indian athlete, Milkha Singh. Some of the biggest names in the world of entertainment, artists and influencers are coming together for a global fundraiser on Facebook on this Independence Day, that is expected to unlock philanthropic donations upwards of ₹25 crore for Covid-19 relief work. We For India: Saving Lives, Protecting Livelihoods will be livestreamed on Sunday, August 15 at 7.30 PM IST and raise funds for Covid-19 relief missions of GiveIndia, the largest and most trusted giving platform in India today.

The celebrity participants (full list below) will express solidarity and support for saving lives and livelihoods in India after the devastation caused by the second wave of the pandemic. All proceeds from the mega event will be utilized by GiveIndia to provide both humanitarian aid and strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

This three hour videothon will feature over 100 artistes including leading Bollywood filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, Imtiaz Ali, Farah Khan, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikram Bhatt & Ribhu Dasgupta.
