Telly Chakkar: Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, SET India speaks about Sony’s decision to end Baat Hamari Pakki Hai [26 February 2011]
What went wrong with Baat Hamari Pakki Hai? Nothing went wrong with it. In fact it was the first show that gave us a rating of one plus in that time slot. We just felt the story had to meet its logical ending and we did not want to unnecessarily stretch it.

Indya - Lucky Man: Barun Sobti [23 February 2011]
You began your television career with STAR Plus' Shraddha and later did a cameo in the popular youth show STAR One's Dill Mill Gayye. But it was Sony's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai that brought you a lead role. How are you feeling now that the show is coming to an end? I am glad to get a break in such a great show. I am thankful to the channel, the production team and my co stars for all the love and support. Of course, I am feeling bad that our show is coming to an end but I also feel everything has an end. The show is coming to a logical end and that is the way things should be. I will miss the team, the wonderful times we had.
You have signed Imagine's new show Dulhann. What were the criteria for selecting the show? Among all offers I had, Dulhann was the best in terms of role and production house. It appealed to me, so I didn't have to think twice before accepting it. I play a rich guy who gets away with everything. I have to be briefed properly about the character and the story, though I know the basics. I am not allowed to talk about it yet. In fact I haven't even signed the contract.
Most TV actors either take a break or don't get good roles in serials once their shows end. Do you feel lucky to have bagged another show just when your current project is ending? I wanted to take a break as shooting for a daily serial is taxing. But I also realize that now is the time to work hard and I would be foolish to let go of such an opportunity. Perhaps you can call me lucky. [smiles]
Baat Hamari Pakki Hai has been mediocre in garnering TRPs. Well, I don't know about that but the show has been great for me, my career. I have got a favourable response and people have appreciated my work.
What does acting mean to you? Work mainly. I guess I haven't done enough acting, enough work to find that depth or passion.
What does being on television mean? Television is my bread and butter. It gives me instant connect with the audiences, a medium to reach out to millions of viewers all across the world. Television is a perfect platform to express your creativity, especially for an actor like me.
From all roles you have essayed, which would you say has been the role to date? I have to say Shravan in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai because the role had numerous shades. It was the most complex role I have ever done. I started off as a spoilt guy, a brat, then became sober, positive, played a lost guy in between trying to find his place in life and finally a matured person.
Which character has been the closest to your real personality? None actually. Baat Hamari Pakki Hai's Shravan has playfulness to his character, a fun loving side. I have that trait too. Other than that I don't think I share any qualities with any character I played.
How would you describe yourself? I am a regular, ordinary guy. Bit shy, man of few words. [Smiles] Tell us about your recent marriage. I married my childhood sweetheart on 12th December 2010. We were together for over 12 years. She was in Melbourne working as an accountant in between but now we are happily married.

Telly Buzz: Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, SET India speaks about Sony’s decision to end Baat Hamari Pakki Hai [23 February 2011]
Baat Hamari Pakki Hai had had a good run, and is going to close at a point where it is doing well compared to the previous shows of Sony. Have you ever felt that the decision was a quick one where the show should have been given some more time?
The show is a year long show, and it's already completing a year. The story was coming to an end anyways, and we did not want to drag it.

Sachi will very soon meet with an accident in Sony's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai...
After lot of fun and frolic, its time to get serious in Sony TV's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai!! Yesterday's episode did give a hint of the sorrow to come, as the protagonists Shravan (Barun Sobti) and Sachi (Ankita Sharma) get into a verbal argument wherein Sachi accuses her husband of being irresponsible!!
And the latest we hear is that due to their fight Sachi leaves Shravan and goes away from him. However, after few few days, Sachi would realize that she was wrong in leaving Shravan alone. After contemplating a lot, she makes up her mind to get back to him. But on the way, she meets with a road accident.
We hear that Sachi will in fact lose her memory..
Our source states, "Sachi will lose her memory but not fully as she will get some flashes and can recall the person she knows, only when someone makes her remember. The accident sequence will be similar to the one seen in the movie Saathiya. While Shravan is trying to find Sachi, he sees someone who is injured in an accident, but unfortunately does not get to see the person's face, thinking it is not Sachi". The track will kick-start by Thursday.
We contacted Barun Sobti who says, "We are shooting back to back so I really don't know what is going to happen now".
Let's see how Shravan and Sachi's love sails thro' this sorrow!!

Telly Buzz: Shravan and Sachi to land in jail [5th January 2011]
Sachi and Shravan who are on the run in Sony's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai will be put behind bars...
Well o well, the love birds Shravan (Barun Sobti) and Sachi (Ankita Sharma) are on the run in Sony's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, and decide to have a great time with the prize money they have amassed. It's one jolly good honeymoon for the couple, wherein Shravan decides to buy Sachi a precious gift with the money he has earned. Our source states, "The duo will be shown running from one shop to another looking for a gift. Shravan wants his wife to buy an expensive gift, while Sachi keeps refusing all of them after checking out the price. Finally, when Shravan gets disappointed Sachi asks him to take her to a road-side chat shop where she wants to eat to her heart's content". Well, after a whole day of fun and masti, the couple decide to take a room at a hotel to spend the night. Unfortunately, they end up in a wrong hotel which is not decent enough for a married couple to stay. After many funny sequences in the hotel, Shravan is arrested by the police for bringing a girl to such a hotel. Our source indicates, "Shravan will be put behind bars and Sachi will be asked to go home. But the girl will end up doing some whacky and crazy things just to get arrested and be with Shravan in jail". We contacted Barun Sobti and he confirmed the news of both of them being arrested.
