I'm almost certain that I'm one of the only people on earth who is happy with the fact that their headphone jack died and not their headphone cable
#tetranymous.txt#Look I don't skimp out on the quality of my cables. A new headphone cable would be $35; a new headphone jack is about $12#Because the last time I cheaped out on a cable it lasted a month and a half. From that moment I swore never again#I even keep a backup cable both as a sanity check and as a get by until the new one arrives cable that's even STURDIER than my main#(normally cables wouldn't be a problem but senny has a proprietary little end that locks into the headset; great for strain relief but 🙃)#But yeah as soon as I THOUGHT that my current one was going I reinforced it with heatshrink. So now it's extra strong#Should've guessed from my little mp3 player being fine with it but I thought it was my phone's hardware interrupts cable state checks#it's got a thing where you can set up stuff to run when hardware changes; setting volume + opening music when connecting headphones SO GOOD
