Eliza does not know what vaping is and asks Peggy if it’s the same as vaporwave. Peggy tries vaping a few times but doesn’t actually like it very much and also it’s much more work to smoke pot that way. Angelica lives in eternal terror of her e-cigg falling out of her purse in front of her coworkers. That never happens but Peggy finds it when she’s looking in Angelica’s purse for breath mints. This is definitely the worse scenario for Angelica.

Hi can I just say I loved your recent hamliza fic? You captured both their personalities and the language and customs of the era so well. Plus adorable baby Phillip which is always good :) could you consider writing another maybe? A sequel? With more interaction with Angelica and Peggy perhaps? Thank you :)

This is so sweet.  Thank you SO MUCH.  I hadn’t posted fic in so long and I forgot that, at least for me, you kind of feel down after if you don’t get the response you expected.  So this means a lot to me!

I’ll definitely look into a sequel.  I always love writing the girls together and it would be fun to go back and expand on their little weekend together. You know Angelica and Peggy have got Opinions on the people they met.  (they don’t like you, James McHenry!)

I also really want to write the beginning of Angelica’s stay in 1789.

idk ever since I learned the girls shared a bed their whole lives until Angelica eloped, I love placing them back in a bed as grown adults to capture a bit of nostalgia, especially since Angelica was gone for so long!

Where’s Faulkland? A little east of Argentina…

Last term our upper school performed “The Rivals”. In one scene, a young man called Faulkland has to come onstage to meet his friend Captain Jack, after a long monologue of Jack’s. Unfortunately, one night, when Jack finished his monologue no Faulkland appeared.

There was a very awkward moment of silence.

Jack, cottoning on, decided to do a little light improv of the “I was supposed to meet Faulkland here, wonder where the fellow is?” kind.

Another awkward moment passed.

“Where is Faulkland?" Jack asked the theatre in general.

Nobody had an answer, so a few of us ran backstage to find Faulkland standing there cool as you please, rehearsing a later scene. We screamed at him to get onstage, and did he go in by the nearest door? No, he decided to walk apparently as slowly as possible around the back of the theatre to come in by the hall door.

Meanwhile, poor Jack was still on stage, desperately asking where Faulkland was which he had been doing for the last minute and a half, and I can only imagine how mortified he must have been…
