November 15 is hairy dog mans birthday! (posting it early cuz I’ll be busy starting tomorrow working on paintings)

Wasn’t sure what to doodle for Hounddog’s bday so just went with a drawing of him and Shizen, not too sure how I feel about it - I think I drew Shizen’s face incorrectly as her cheek looks too big

It occured to me that Hounddog prolly can’t kiss like a normal person cuz his quirk affects the shape of his face and likely his teeth sooooo I doodled this idea. It’s dumb and silly but hey I thought it was funny!

UA Teacher headcannons

-With Hounddog’s quirk being dog naturally he has a lot of hair. He has a slighter thicker layer of peach fuzz over his skin so it just feels like he has fur - due to this he sheds hair a lot. Shizen learnt this the hard way as when her and Hounddog became official and they started to hang out more like a couple Shizen found his hair just..everywhere. In her own hair, in her clothes, in her shoes, and LOTS of it! Shizen usually isn’t bothered by this kind of thing since she’s never been one to get all grossed out over hair, but in the end brought a special brush that helps remove the hair from clothing, bed sheets and furniture 

-Midnight’s room is intoxicated with the smell of at least 6 different perfumes and Mic’s is the same but with hair spray. Aizawa refuses to go near the bathroom once Hizashi is finished cuz it’ll take at least an hour for all the hair spray he used to air out. Snipe doesn’t really care all that much with Nemuri’s perfume, Snipe smells of dirt and horses so he’s not one to judge - Midnight one time replaced his body spray with a perfume, Snipe didn’t notice until someone pointed out how he smelled oddly of lavender

-Cementoss and Thirteen are bff’s and despite being the youngest are the somewhat care takers to everyone else. They fuss at Aizawa to actually ate some real food, NO his juice pouches do not count. They both practically yell at Snipe, Hounddog and Higari when they go to walk in caked in mud and dirt, and Cementoss and Thirteen have memorized everyone’s go to beverage so when they make a hot drink they’ll know exactly what everyone else wants

-Aizawa has kitty paw slippers, Hizashi got him them jokingly one year for secret santa, Aizawa didn’t take them off for 9 days. It was only when Hizashi bribed him with cat videos did Aizawa willingly wand them over to be washed

-The teachers can obviously make alarms in their phones, but no one ever does cuz they have Hizashi, a literal walking speaker, he does a good enough job

-Ectoplasm and Shizen both suffer from being smothered in the mornings. More often then not Ectoplasm wakes up to Higari laying ontop of him, and when he tries to leave Higari just hugs him tighter like a koala bear. Shizen suffers the same fate, Hounddog is a heavy, deep sleeper, waking him up is a chore. If she’s lucky she’ll simply be trapped under his arm which he will use to drag her lazily back to bed when she tries to get up...or if she’s unlucky she may just suffocate when she wakes up with his head laying ontop of her

-Ectoplasm has a karaoke night and Midnight has Girls night. Shizen gets dragged along while Thirteen is pretty enthusiastic about it - they watch bad soap operas and teenage drama movies. 

-Lunch rush makes all and any meals for the teachers when they’re in the teachers dorms. His quirk is pratically made for the job, in exchange the other teachers clean up the plates and cutlery 

-Powerloader, Hounddog and occasionally Snipe have the worst potty mouths out of the staff, mostly Powerloader and Hounddog though. Thirteen and Cementoss made a swear jar one time and it was full within a week

-Blood King (aside from Shizen cuz her quirk lets her understand Hounddog) is the only person who can understand Hounddog when his speech has resorted to barks and growling. Blood King has become pretty much immune to shock or surprise when his best friend starts barking and growling, so will just calmly stand there wiping the spit off his face waiting for Hounddog to finish

-Ectoplasm and Hounddog have themselves a fine set a chompers, which can leave pretty...hard to cover up marks. Shizen and Powerloader both suffer this fate of having to hide any love bites. One time during the summer they both where stuck with this predicament and so where forced to wear long sleeved shirts and jumpers to hide them. Both lost half their weight in sweat that day

Midnight: Why are you two wearing jumpers? It’s the middle of summer

Does Shizen suffer short person syndrome like Higari or is she pretty tall? Since she’s not Higari’s sibling and is just a cousin

Heres a drawing showing off their height differences! According to the wiki Hounddog is 6'5, Shizen isn't short short but she's not tall either. I'd say she's about 5'4

This is a random question I just thought of, but how did Hounddog and Shizen get together? I know they met at UA, but how’d they actually become a couple? Also you’re doing great. Keep up the good work. I always forward to seeing your drabbles.☺️

There relationship was a slow burn, here are some notes

-Shizen's dad, Powerloaders uncle, took on the construction business which Kaigo was originally meant to inherit. Shizen had no interest in inheriting the business from her dad and instead persuaded studies at Shiketsu to become a vet, the only job her quirk anivoice seemed to be suited for (Shizen gave up trying to be a hero due to bullying due to her disney princess like quirk). After a bad break up Shizen takes a break from her training and leaves the city, returning to then peruse a career in counselling. Having time away gave her space to think, she decided she was going to help future kids so that they'd be prepared for the hardships life may throw at them

-Shizen's old school friend Fatgum was the one who recommended UA (the kids there need therapy they've been through a lot-). Shizen at first isn't all that good at this counselling thing, kids aren't as easy to talk to as animals and Shizen struggles for a while. Struggles to be a proper counselor, struggles to be a good mentor to Koda..and struggled to get along with her co-worker Hounddog, whom despite his gruff attitude was very attentive to the students behaviors and what they needed to hear to help themselves

-Hounddog at the time had taken Shishida from 1B under his wing as his personal student, and one day - when the two had grown comfortable enough to hold decent conversation - Shizen asks rhetorically how Hounddog managed it all, being such a good counsellor and teacher. Hounddog answers honestly that he just learnt - he messed up, who doesn't ever mess up in the beginning? He learnt Shishida's behaviour, learnt that he was better with verbal praise, learnt that some students preferred to write stuff down before their counselling sessions, that some kids needed to have some kind of keychain or fidget toy to relax. Shizen is..a bit taken aback, not expecting an honest answer. Hounddog turns to her and admits that yes, Shizen was being a pretty bad mentor, but she was still here wasn't she? She kept showing up to work even if she didn't think she was good at it, she clearly wanted to be a good mentor, she just has to stick with it

-Shizen takes what Hounddog said into account and starts to key into Koda's behaviours: she learns that raising her voice or being blunt is not the best way to give her opinion with Koda, Koda is anxious and sometimes overthinks so she learns to keep things simple and too the point. Hounddog notices the improvement, but doesn't say anything unless Shizen asks for advice, which she does. Shizen is still unsure and, despite her and Hounddog still learning how to get along better as co-workers, she trusts him not to tattle. Quick conversations between classes turn into lengthy conversations over their lunch breaks, the conversations on their lunch breaks progress into chats over a beer at a bar, maybe they'll share a few laughs.

-After Shizen's breakup (in short boyfriend cheated on her with one of their classmates after their graduation, getting their classmate pregnant. Shizen was hesitant to have kids and that's why her boyfriend cheated) she's been pretty hesitant to touch on the topic of relationships. This was why it took Hounddog and Shizen a while to admit that their friendship was more then platonic. By the time the two admit they're offical they'd kind of already been somewhat dating for a few years. They'd meet up for food, Shizen would stay in his room at Heights alliance (nothing would happen, they'd be watching a sports channel and sometimes Shizen would just fall asleep), Shizen had gotten comfortable enough for physical affection like hugs, they'd both seen each other shirtless (again nothing happen, they'd gotten so used to just walking into each others room like that it happened on accident for both parties). Hounddog, having been a counsellor longer then Shizen, could tell something was holding her back so finally, after almost a year of being in that awkward "Are we friends or more" stage, they talk

Shizen talks about her ex boyfriend, may have cried a little, and Hounddog offered comfort. It took another three months before Shizen said she was ready to give this thing a shot - neither of them told the other teachers they where serious unless they asked or figured it out, neither are overly showy that they're married as they prefer to keep their affection for each other private

I think Hounddog x Vlad king is a cool pairing! If I didn't have Shizen to ship with Hounddog I'd probably ship him with Vlad

I don't really have a lot of in depth headcannons for the MLA. At least I've only got a few for Skeptic, Trumpet and Curious (mostly Trumpet and Skeptic since I like those two most and I don't really care that much about Re-Destro and Geten)

-Skeptic sometimes has to wear glasses, headcannon thought of by @hazbinextgeneration

-Skeptic, Trumpet and Curious all do each others hair, with Curious having the most expertise in styling

-Trumpet and Curious are cuddlers at night and cling to Skeptic like sloths

-Skeptic has at least 5 different shampoos and conditioners for his hair, Curious made him start taking better care of it

-Skeptic and Deidoro are twins, this was a super old headcannon I came up with a while ago for laughs as when I first saw Skeptic in a manga panel I thought he was a sober Deidoro

Look at any of my OC ships the majority of the are size difference: Ectoplasm x Powerloader, Alastor x Mimzy, Shizen x Hounddog, Kumo x FatGum, Shurui x Gang Orca - Idk man something about a giant, tall, beanpole sweetheart being in love with a teenie feral or shy smol gives me life.

Also tall one being an ass and holding things our of small ones reach, only to then have their butts kicked by their small lover. And small lover fiercely defending the taller one even though the taller one is like “Hun it’s not a big deal it’s okay-“

I haven’t shown off these NG’s to tumblr properly yet, I’ll probably make a post about them at some point with their short bios I made for them - but @erosspace​ did some wonderful headcannons on Hounddog as a parent that I requested, and they finally gave me the inspiration to draw Okami! Please go check out their tumblr, some of their headcannons are so cute! If you’re a fan of MHA and enjoy fanmade headcannons about the characters then I highly suggest checking out their blog! They deserve more love!

@hazbinextgeneration requested for Okami and Koneko to be drawn walking together for the ship drawing prompts - I figured since I've done other drawings like this with my other MHA NG's I'd take the opportunity to make one for Okami and Koneko!  Okami (guy on the left) is the son to Hound dog and Shizen (my OC), and the smaller dude is Koneko (my Jeanist X Ragdoll NG), they're in a not so secret relationship and are very happy together! Okami and Koneko are in many ways opposite: Okami is the tallest boy in class, whereas Koneko is the shortest. Okami is a very calm person where Koneko is very lively and extroverted. Okami being mute is obviously the quite one of the two, so Koneko talks for the both of them. Despite this the two are very happy together and are one of the most sweetest couples in UA, Okami and Koneko are very affectionate towards each other, mostly Okami - since Okami can't express his affections in words he's grown to show his affection for Koneko through hugs and other gestures such as hand holding and kisses (kisses are kinda akward with his snout and how tall Okami is, so when the two are sitting down he'll sometimes just rub his cheek against the top of Koneko's head, or press his nose against Koneko's cheek), and despite how chill Okami is Koneko turns into a swooning school boy. Koneko ADORES Okami, and doesn't actually mind being the smaller one of the two (more often then not Koneko is stirring the boat and Okami happily follows behind, only ever intervening if Koneko is doing something silly that could get him hurt), he likes being given piggy back rides and being carried in general, since Okami's quirk is dog his skin and hair are so soft to snuggle into, plus being carried makes Koneko feel tall for once so that's a fun bonus. Koneko is just as affection to Okami as Okami is to him, but being highly extroverted and talkative Koneko tends to express his affections for Okami with words: compliments, pet names, cute jokes, he'll do all of em. Okami doesn't get flustered all that easily but he appreciates the compliments  Koneko has no shame showing off his relationship in the public, but Okami has told him that they should try to keep their relationship private for his sake. Koneko, being the son to Best Jeanist, is followed by reporters and the press a lot, and Okami want's to make sure Koneko is safe. These guys probably go on the most dates out of everyone in the dorms, Koneko and Okami often go out a lot: Koneko has a lot of energy so tends to go on walks round town when bored and Okami tags along because he likes to stay active, and also enjoys Koneko's company - his lively attitude gives Okami a different perspective of life compared to his calm one. I have two Izuku x Uruaraka NG’s - Toshinori and Subarashi, they’re both dork siblings and get along very well, have deep debates on which hereos are more powerful and are the first kids in the dorms to buy official merch, they buy a lot of hero merch 

Furora, my Kamui x MT Lady NG has a little brother named Shida - they have a typical sibling bond and bicker/squabble a lot, but deep down they love each other 

TJ and Rekkei - Fatgum X Kumo NG’s - are brothers with Rekkei being the oldest, and they also have their little sister Kattei - they all get along pretty well for siblings, Rekkei often teases TJ and Kattei cuz he’s the oldest and that’ll sometimes lead to small squabbles, but other then that they don’t fight a lot

Okami - Hounddog x Shizen NG - has his three little triplet sisters, Hato, Api and Terra - Okami is often assigned as their default babysitter when his parents are busy, he’s a big old sofite so his sisters get along with him well. Okami never fights with his sisters, but he’s often the one breaking up fights between Api and Hato 

Koneko - Best Jeanist x Ragdoll - has a twin sisters Shiruku (belongs to @hazbinextgeneration) and an older brother Ito. Koneko spends his time both at home and at school with his twin Shiruku, and since the two have pratically grown up sharing they both have a great understanding of the other. His older brother Ito is more chill and laid back compared to their parents, and Ito likes to spoil his little brother and sister whenever he visits, Koneko views him as a cool older bro 

Oruka - Gang Orca x Lady Dolphin - has a little brother and an older sister. His older sister Mizu lives in an apartment with Ito and Kakusu, and being an official pro hero she doesn’t have a lot of free time, but she visits her family on weekends if work doesn’t suddenly call for her. Mizu is a playful older sister, likes to tease Oruka at how much he’s grown and how he’s so much like their dad, Oruka withstands her teasing with a small smile, he doesn't really mind being teased or fussed. Oruka, being the more calmer and level headed child, gets along well with his little brother Umi and is good at calming him down or encouraging him, like his parents he’s protective of Umi but not to a suffocating degree

Shai - my Koda x Shishida NG, adopted - has two younger brothers, both adopted, Hori and Rizu. Hori is eight years old and despite being a pretty independent child Shai likes to talk with him. Teases him occasionally but not all the time, Shai likes to garden with him when she visits home. Her baby brother Rizu is as said, a baby, so he’s easy to get along with. Shai is often left to watch him and Hori over the weekends when their dads are working but she doesn’t mind, Hori will help her with Rizu if he gets needy
