Waow sudah lama sekali saya nggak update karena kehidupan sangat dinamis.
Mau rekap dan bersyukur dulu saja kepada Allah SWT karena diberi kesibukan yang sungguh membuat pusing dan stres, tapi minimal jadi nggak galau apa itu makna kehidupan kalau lagi galau banget gini:
Weekend kemarin Sabtu nggak ngapa-ngapain beres kelas SMA16. Kayanya lanjut nonton apa ya? Lupa juga. Karaokean DAY6 apa yah. Terus jalan ke center sorean ba’da Ashar buat beli saos ABC, kelengkeng, ke Waterstones beli giftcard Kak Kaca, beli kopi dan sabun, dan ditutup dengan jajan YiFang.
Minggu setelah kelas 16 ada call sama angkatan GEA 11! Bahas UKT mahal banget, belajar banyak sih tentang… well, mostly pertanyaan yang keluar tapi betulan jadi banyak banget pertanyaan yang muncul (yang bisa dicari jawabannya) seperti:
kenapa kita ganti sistem jadi UKT dari yang dulu pas jaman kita kuliah uang pangkal aja di depan terus semesteran Rp 5 juta/semester
kenapa LPDP gaada buat S1, cuma buat S2 dan S3 doang
apakah sistem loan untuk kuliah seperti di UK dan US itu adalah yang paling bagus
gimana Jerman dan Perancis bisa ngegratisin SPP kuliah S1 atau minimal murah banget lah ya, jawabannya ternyata adalah tax money.
Kami semua (yang dateng 4-5 orang dari 87 orang, wow gaada 5% bahkan) gaada yang tahu jawabannya karena bukan expertise kita, but that’s what discussion are for kan. Tetap sangat senang karena sudah menyempatkan diri untuk hadir.
Di awal-awal sebelum mulai diskusi juga Adis sempat nanyain si Repsol udah produce natural hydrogen, jadi sempat membuatku baca lagi artikel-artikel natural hydrogen itu occurrence-nya gimana.
Habis dari diskusi, ke ulang tahun Kak Kaca, untungnya tetangga, masih sama-sama di Castle Mill kami. I had so much fun bertemu Rashid, Najlaa, makan nasi kuning juga. My heart was full lah pokoknya. Dari situ ke city, ketemu Deva bentar, terus lanjut jjs (jalan-jalan sore) ke Christchurch Meadow. Dilanjut ngopi (decaf) dan makan cake sambil baca di Endorphin. Ku tertarik banget sama koleksi-nya Endorphin kemarin baca salah satu bukunya studentnya Hawkings tapi sangat pusing dan gangerti akhirnya ku berhenti setelah chapter 1.Habis itu pulang! Di rumah dilanjut meeting prep untuk acara buka bersama nanti tanggal 23 Maret.
3. The whole week before: Jumat ke Royal Holloway! Sangat senang juga karena sangat produktif. Diskusi banyak sama Alex dan berhasil pinjam InfraRed Thermometer! Ku juga berhasil nge-vacuum seal 11 tubes, WHICH WERE A LOT, tapi karena skill-nya sudah ke-build dan confidence-nya juga sudah ada, itu semua selesai dalam 2 jam saja including packing.
4. Kamis di lab sampai malem karena nyiapin sampel: dari nyuci carius tubes, ngeringin tubes, masukin sample ke tubes, packing. Mayan efektif sih dan CAPEK.
5. Senin-Rabu lupa ngapain aja tapi kayanya nyiapin buat sealing di Jumat juga. Dan juga ngerjain manuscript gak ya(?) Lupa-lupa inget. Ku gak sabar menyelesaikan semua 24hour opening supaya bisa langsung fokus nulis ke manuscript ke 2.
Oh inget deng dikit! Senin-nya tuh aku mulai kerja baru sore karena paginya ngopi dulu sama Deva di Westgate wkwkw, terus dilanjut lunch makan Ji sama Mbak Shofi (dia mau apply PhD), Iris, dan Mbak Jessica. Seru banget ngobrolnya.
6. Minggu kemarinnya lagi: Sabtu ke London! Ulang tahunnya Shivanky. Kukasih dia hadiah giftcard Waterstones juga (wkwkw sangat tidak creative ya Noni ini). Ku beli di Waterstones yang depan Trafalgar Square. Ku senang banget ketemu sama teman-temannya Shiv (yang adalah super smart ambitious typical Oxford graduates lah ya) dan kami ngomongin banyak hal. We talked in Tate Modern, took some nice pictures over the Millenium Bridge, then lanjut makan Jollibee di Leicester Square. Itu Jollibee perdana aku HUHU SANGAT ENAK.
7. Hari Minggu-nya nggak ngapa-ngapain cuma siang getting susu di Sainsbury’s Jericho. Terus malamnya formal dinner KE-TIGA DI MINGGU ITU! Di Exeter sama Deva dan Aji. Sangat seru juga sih karena pertama kali mengajak Deva formal’s and we did talk about a lot of things.
8. Week yang sebelum itu ngapain yah. OH. LAGI DEMOTIVATED BANGET KERJA. Itu tuh habis dapet kiriman comments dari Alex dan tinggal kurapikan aja sebetulnya. Jumatnya ngerjain Lumex kayanya sama Joost, terus lanjut lunch Comptoir Libanais sama Bu Yani. Kamisnya, pagi, aku ke Nizami Ganjavi buat cari-cari buku belajar baca Korea, terus siangnya lanjut ke Westgate Library (LANJUT BELAJAR BAHASA KOREA), dan lanjut ngobrol di G&D depan Christchurch sama Hanif. Habis itu ada formal dinner Graduate High Table. Ku ga banyak ngobrol sama siapa-siapa, mostly Mas Felix aja di samping. Rabu di RUMAH SEHARIAN. Selasa WFH juga cuma sorean ke Lung Wah Cong beliin Deva kecap ABC dan ke Black Sheep. Senin juga WFH dan sorean ke Cohen Quad lanjut ke Exeter buat formal Subject Family Dinner. FIUH.
9. Weekend sebelumnya lagi: Sabtu jalan jauh ke Cowley setelah random di Westgate dan Sasi’s. Minggunya pengajian ku ngisi tausiyah tapi payah karena kurang prep but it is okay.
UDAH DEH. Balik lagi ke post terakhir yang gabisa kerja ituu. WOWWW. Itu literally di atas adalah rekapan selama 3 minggu. Sangat banyak hal yang terjadi sesungguhnya. AND I MET SO MANY PEOPLE??? Harus disyukuri dan SEMANGAT NONI sedikit lagi perjalanannya!!! Fighting!

i’ve genuinely been in a state of shock since i finished the ep so i’m probably going to ramble terribly bc my brain will explode otherwise.... thoughts under the cut!!! and massive spoiler warning obviously 💪
OKAAYYY in no particular order:
greg getting whacked was beautiful i wish he'd been stomped into a pulp honestly sorry for not being able to separate the art from the artist but nicholas braun is a weasel and i hope he gets hit by a car
that being said tom and greg's interactions this ep were top tier i'm not a tomgreg enthusiast like That but i think every scene of theirs was hilarious as it was twisted
tom this whole episode... phenomenal. matthew is just a cut above in terms of acting he embodied tom's hunger and desperation and patheticisms so perfectly i really felt more and more unsettled by him every appearance
i do wish we had more stewy screentime but i also wish that for every single episode arian moayed is so freaking talented and charismatic and amazing and he ate up every second he was on screen
speaking of stewy. "you kiss guys on molly" <- BITCH.....? i actually don't know if i've mentioned this on tumblr but i'm a kenstewinator for life and frankly this was confirmation that they explored each other's bodies at college idgaf what anyone has to say about it
ohhhh my god the fucking "meal fit for a king" scene. i can't even find the words for it. seeing them all so happy and having so much fun with each other in that moment was just so heartbreaking bc i KNEW it wasn't going to last 😭 like my mum and i literally checked how much time was left in the episode after that scene and looked at each other like Wellll something terrible is going to happen isn't it.
kendall My beautiful baby boy kendall IM SORRY I WASNT YOUR MOTHERRRRRRRR . i could honestly write an essay about kendall in this episode alone i have never seen such a tragic crumbling of the self maybe ever. him sitting at logan's desk thinking he's finally won... his reaction to shiv betraying their deal... him attacking roman like i was seriously breathless my god that entire sequence was fucking crazy
and to be quite honest if i was kendall in that situation well i would have killed myself in that damn board room and changed the trajectory of all those old hags lives forever . like "i'm a cog built for one machine" And now he has nothing no father no siblings no wife no kids no company my fucking goddddddd 🤦‍♀️
i started chanting "please please please dont kill yourself" out loud in the final scene and i'm dead serious the kendall water motif HAUNTS ME and i was so freaking scared . but that final frame is honestly equally awful like kendall alone with colin in the background him basically becoming logan with none of the power this is seriously the worst possible ending for him.....
shiv doomed to repeat the pattern of being under a man's thumb is genuinely so deeply demented jesse armstrong sleep with one eye open. and i hate it so much because it makes so much SENSE like yeah she's lady macbeth she's caroline she's the wife she's the mother and she will never be anything else okay OKAYY.
like that scene w her and tom in the car where he waits for her to hold his hand was so fucking spine chilling also the ambiguity of us not knowing whether tom knows that shiv was the deciding vote in his favour is crazy <- i do think it makes sense that he would know but just shiv having that as a bargaining chip so they can sting each other over and over again like its all about the cycles i fear
roman being so resigned to it all by the end was sick like ok that comment about kendall's kids was evil but i still felt for him howeverr i do think out of the trio he will be objectively the most okay in the future... like he's free from it all in a way shiv obviously isn't and kendall literally can't be
honestly i'm struggling to articulate anything more i'm still so overwhelmed by how it came to a close.. never have i watched a show that left me so heartbroken and hollow but also absolutely satisfied narratively like succession is going down in the history books FR 😭
also they're def going to sweep the emmys and it will be so deserved i seriously think they need to invent a new rule to allow for a tie because i cannot imagine how they're going to decide between kieran and jeremy for best lead... <- i do lean a little towards jeremy bc i'm a biased kendall girl but kieran's performance esp in the first half of this season was just jawdropping so who knows
this got really long i'm so sorry but i feel like a crazed woman what a fucking show what a fucking ending i will never be the same after this SUCCESSION YOU WILL ALWAYS BE SO FAMOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Mahishasur Mardini stotram.
Don’t get me wrong, I love all the stotrams. Shiv Tandav, Shree Hari, and whichever other ones I’m missing. I love them all. The thing is, Maa Durga has always been taught to us as a mother, which is actually beautiful, it helps us connect to her on a personal level. Her bhakti becomes much easier and pleasant because you have an established relationship with her.
But the thing is, While Devi Shakti (and Devi Sharda and Devi Ramaa to that extent) are our mothers, I feel like this leads us to focus completely on their maternal side and generally their tamer actions, like Matas bringing prosperity, bliss, knowledge, and I think this materialistic approach towards praying to them is why I hadn’t been able to connect to her on the same level as Shree Hari even though my mother is a staunch devotee of hers.
I genuinely thought that this was simply because it was in my destiny to have Shree Narayan as my aradhya. Until I heard the stotram and realised that this isn’t the case. It’s simply because I’m lost to the other side of These goddesses.
The side that is a warrior. The side that slayed Mahishasur, Dhindhinasur, Madhu, Kaitabh, Harshad, Marshad, Sahastra Ravan, Narakasur, Chand, Mund, Raktabeej, Kohlasur, Bhairo Nath, and many others with her valour. The side that haunts the sons of Diti. The side that scares Jalandhar with her fire. The side that is a daughter. A daughter of Himachal, Daksh, Shaila, Bhrigu, Janak. A side that as Parvati is the sister of Vishnu. The side that is a woman with braided hair, the one who is the mistress of most ferocious animals.
A side that is the power. The power of Bramha as Sharda, of Narayan as Padma and of Mahesh as Gaura. The sheer rage that is Kali, the immovability of Parvati as she sets her mind to marry her love. The valour of Meenakshi as she conquers everything from Kanyakumari to Kailash. The yog of Sita who could have destroyed Ravan to atoms if she wished. The Determination of Satyabhama who killed her own son for righteousness.
The side that will appear out of a statue and hurt those who try to harm her children. The side that will take any form just like Narayan and Shiva to end the evils. The side that completes her divinity.
We never focus on these aspect of theirs like we do with Shri Narayan and Bhagwaan Shankar. We are too used to their maternal sides and never discuss this one, when we need to in order to understand them as well as we understand the other two Gods.
Because while we need her maternal side to know that she loves us, we need her other side to shed the perceptions of materialism we have associated with her. To know that she is a Goddess same as the other two and not just a boon granter. (Well, we can ask her for boons and other materialistic stuff ofcourse, but lets not confine her role to just that please :/)
We need her motherly side to establish a connection of love with her, and her other side to connect with her on the divine level.
We need to understand that she’s our Maa Durga who we love, and also Mahishasur Mardini whom we learn for. While we need to look at her as she holds us in difficult times, and say:
“She’s our mother, and we love her.”
We alsi need to look at her with love while she slays demons, and say:
“She’s our mother, we learn from her.”

Trip to Kashi
".... Hari aum tat sat" Isha said as she finished praying. Infanta Isabel, no not anymore, she was Isha Meenakshi Aadhya Iyengar now, oldest daughter of Meenakshi Iyengar and Rudraksh Iyengar, 23yr old on her fourth year of engineering collage of IIT Kharagpur, enjoying a quiet time alone in the serenity of Kashi. One could say without much doubt that the first daughter of the Iyengar household was the very incarnation of her namesake. But much like the sages of the past Isha's prayes were broken by the voice of a woman.
"Excuse me miss, but could you please move aside for a moment? " the voice asked. Isha stood on her ground taking some time to turn around but when she did she was perhaps greeted by Tillotamma herself. "Excuse me ma'am but I dropped by offerings into the river and believe that it had drifted to your feet. Would you please mind if I ask you to move aside for a moment" the lady asked. Isha stood still for a fraction of a second, observing the lady's tannish skin, dark brown hair and pale brown eyes which seemed when met with her own seemed to stop time before Isha moved aside.
"Sure, do you want me to help? " Isha asked
"Thanks a lot for asking but I cannot bother you again" the lady replied
"Devi, it's no trouble for me. Please let me help"
"If you insist then I have nothing more to say except that the Lord has been very kind to me today"
Isha smiled a bit at this, normally she was not a person to jump into favors but for some reason this apsara of a lady was alluring her with some radiance. The search went on until quiet some time when both of young adults were to tired to hold their breaths any longer.
"Well we tried" the lady said exhausted but radiant. Isha, water tickling down her sculpture, nodded in agreement. "My name is Anuradha" She said extending a hand. "And I am Isha"
