After a hard-fought rap battle, Shiro, Fukuda, and Hyoga found themselves on a short hill walk just outside the city, letting the cool evening breeze wash over them. The stars were just beginning to peek out, and the distant hum of civilization felt like a background track to their conversation.

“I had a weird dream last night,” Shiro started, his voice unusually serious. “It felt... real. Like it was something that’s actually happening.”

Hyoga, who had been absentmindedly kicking a small rock along the dirt path, looked up. “What was it about?”

Shiro ran a hand through his hair. “Japan... people were hypnotized. Like, completely under control. And there were four people behind it. But the part that stuck with me the most—” He hesitated. “I saw two people in white. And a van. Inside it, there was another guy in black.”

Fukuda, who had been listening with mild amusement at first, suddenly stiffened. His golden eyes darkened behind his glasses. “Wait. A van?”

Shiro nodded.

“That’s weird,” Fukuda murmured, adjusting his mask as he glanced at Hyoga. “Because a few days ago, I saw something kinda similar. I was walking home late at night and passed by this van parked near an alley. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I swear there were two people dressed in white standing near it. The way they moved… it gave me the creeps.”

Hyoga, who had been quiet until now, clenched her hands into fists. “I’ve seen them too.” Her voice was eerily calm. “Twice. I thought I was imagining things, but… they were just standing there one moment, and the next, they were gone.”

A tense silence settled between them. Shiro and Hyoga exchanged a look—one of understanding. Shiro had always trusted his dreams, and Hyoga had always believed in them. Fukuda, ever the rational one, let out a deep sigh.

“This is way too much of a coincidence,” he muttered. “If we’re all seeing the same thing, then maybe… it’s not just a dream.”

Shiro’s hands clenched. “If something’s happening, we need to figure out what it is before it’s too late.”

Hyoga simply nodded, her golden and mint-green eyes reflecting the dim light. “Then let’s start paying more attention.”

Fukuda smirked slightly. “Guess we’ve got a mystery on our hands.”

And with that, the three of them continued their walk, the weight of their conversation hanging heavy in the air.

The three continued walking, their footsteps crunching against the dirt path. The wind rustled through the grass, adding an eerie ambiance to their conversation.

Hyoga was the first to break the silence. “The people in white… when I saw them, I wasn’t scared, but something felt off.” She hugged her arms, as if recalling the sensation. “It was like they weren’t really there. Like I was seeing something that shouldn’t exist.”

Shiro frowned, his golden and dark eyes narrowing. “That’s exactly how it felt in my dream. They weren’t normal people. They felt… hollow not really hollow but.. they kept disappearing out of nowhere whenever I spotted them..”

Fukuda adjusted his glasses, deep in thought. “And that van I saw? It had tinted windows. I couldn’t see inside, but I got the feeling someone was watching me.” He sighed. “I should’ve checked it out.”

“You would’ve been an idiot if you did,” Hyoga stated bluntly. “If we’re all seeing the same thing, it means something bigger is happening. And it’s probably dangerous.”

Shiro’s expression hardened. “Which means we have to do something about it.”

Fukuda smirked. “Here we go. Shiro’s ‘hero mode’ is activating.”

Shiro ignored the tease. “Jokes aside, we can’t just brush this off. If my dream is real, if people are actually being hypnotized, we might be the only ones who see it happening.”

Hyoga’s eyes flickered with curiosity. “Four people were responsible, right? Did you see their faces?”

Shiro shook his head. “No. Just shadows. But the two in white were clear. And the one in black… he felt different. Like he wasn’t with them, but still important.”

Fukuda exhaled slowly. “So what’s our plan? Stalk every suspicious van in Yonezawa?”

Hyoga tilted her head. “That’s not a bad idea.”

Fukuda groaned. “I was kidding, kid.”

Shiro chuckled before his smile faded. “We’ll stay alert. Keep an eye out for anything weird. And if we see those people again…” His fists clenched. “We don’t let them disappear this time.”

The weight of their words lingered as they reached the hill’s peak, the city lights below twinkling like stars. The world continued on, unaware of the mystery unfolding around them.

And somewhere in the darkness, the van was waiting.
