Ship: Recipe For Our Love ♥ Word Count: 375 Warnings: None~ Summary: I was inspired by the conversation I was reading when I was in the game last night- And this little drabble was born.

Entering Survive, Amaryllis stops dead in her tracks as she glances over to where Zhao is sitting with Nanba at the side of the piano. It wasn't that the two were sitting together enjoying a drink, it was soft chatter she heard, giving her cause for concern.

She knew immediately when she heard that Nanba mentioned weeds. Amaryllis was no stranger to the stories Nanba told about how he used to cook up random weeds he'd find during his time as a homeless man. The response she heard from Zhao was what had her slowly coming up behind the two, the clicking of her boots alerting them both to her presence.

Immediately her gaze turned towards Nanba, one eyebrow raised momentarily before she shook her head. She brings a hand up and uses her index finger to rub one of her temples.

"Nanba... Stop trying to convince my boyfriend to fry or cook up random weeds," she turned towards Zhao, "and as for you, don't even entertain the thought."

Zhao's lips pressed into a straight line, while Nanba lowered his gaze to the floor, slightly embarrassed. Shaking her head once again she looked between the two of them.

"Because if Zhao gets sick, guess who has to take care of him?" Amaryllis asked, hands on her hips.

"Y-you?" Nanba retorted sheepishly.

"No, you will. I can't afford to get sick, and I'm not going to take care of Zhao if he decides to be dumb. I don't care how good you think fried-up weeds are." At this point, she was trying so hard not to laugh.

Zhao's eyes were on her behind his tinted shades, "damn babe... That's cold! Even for you."

Stepping closer to him, Amaryllis reached out to make Zhao face her as she leaned in to press the softest kiss to his lips, "Then don't do stupid shit~"

She gave neither of them a chance to respond, spinning on her heels as she walked over to the bar, taking a seat between Kiryu and Seonhee.

Glancing at the bartender, he knew with the raise of her eyebrow, that she wanted her usual, sliding it across the bar gently as she relished in her little display that everyone watched in amusement and silence.

looking up from his desk, thoma didn’t fail to see ayato’s eyes light up. taking the letter and opening it, ayato asked, “their time in liyue is almost up, is it not?”

“indeed, they’re scheduled to arrive within the next three days if there was no delay.“

a soft smile spread across ayato’s face. 

“you may go, and let ayaka know i’ll be joining you guys for dinner.“

“of course, my lord.“

have you averted your eyes from the parchment after seeing all my improperness? don’t roll your eyes at me darling, that’s my job. have you been doing well lately? by the time you receive this letter, i should be on my way home. it’s been a lonely year without you, but i’ve enjoyed my stay in liyue. the port city is busy day and night, and the food is just as delicious as rumors say. i’ve sent some recipes with this letter for you to enjoy.

i met lady ningguang during my stay. she’s quite beautiful if i do say so myself. shame that i’m already engaged to you. if you weren’t in inazuma, i would’ve filed a divorce the moment i saw her. net only is she beautiful, she’s also intelligent. those who work directly for are are nothing short of brilliant. i’ve already invited her to our wedding. i figured you wouldn’t mind, given how you can’t say no to me.

liyue aside, have you been taking care of yourself? listen to thoma and rest now and then. i can’t have my fiance collapsing before our wedding can i? if you must pass on early, at least make it after i become kamisato [name]. then all the clan assets will go to me. 

you better have rejected any marriage proposals while i’ve been gone. for the shogun’s sake, do they really not remember you’re mine? seems i’m gonna have to remind them what’s mine stays mine. look at you, probably smiling at my possessiveness. don’t act like you aren’t just as crazy for me dear.

i’ve heard rumors the shogun has started setting restrictions in her plan to pursue eternity. keep yourself safe alright? i’ll see you soon darling. love you!

who would’ve guessed that was the last time he’d see your face? his last time hearing you say i love you, feeling your gentle touch and warm lips against his?

october 7th, the almighty shogun raised her blade to the sky, declaring the commencement of the vision hunt decree. storm clouds met all those who tried to flee from ships, wrecking everything on the open waters. not a single ship that left survived. to the horror of the people, they realized that nothing would help them escape. and no one was allowed to enter. 

in his study, kamisato ayato slowly came to realize that no ships would survive such storms created by the archon. reality hit, and he could only cry silently in pain, knowing his fiance would never make it back alive.

Oh! I'll absolutely take a ship, thank you for doing these (I always love reading them) ♥ I'm Kait! I'm 28 and I'm an event planner a foundation that organizes dreams for kids (vague but not too vague ha), so I kind of work a lot but because of what we do I truly don't mind. At the same time I like to be busy, so it kind of works out. I'm a Leo and I'll be real honest here all the stereotypes (mostly) apply: I'm loud, super outgoing (I love small talk, honestly I can talk to anyone), kinda dramatic, and can be pretty fixed in opinion (my dads after seeing Hamilton were like "wow, we're going to call you Alexander now, that's so you" which hurts but I think is probably true). But at the same time my friends always tell me that I'm the most enthusiastic, loving and somehow chill person. I love black and wear almost exclusively skirts and dresses (jeans are the devils pants, I need full body movement at any time) and I love and I will also only wear gold jewelry. I collect records both old and new (pop is fun, music can sometimes just be fun is my thought) and am always listening to something! Currently on repeat is Yola and Fleetwood Mac. I recently started taking woodworking lessons (I want to make a coffee table!! Will I be able to? Who knows!!). I love baking and make a mean blueberry muffin. I love live music and shows and frequent a blues bar near my apartment and have season tickets to our theatre also if you need a concert buddy I'll go no matter who's playing. I think I wrote a lot I'm so sorry haha

Hello! You went all out for this, and I love it. I'm gonna say that Jake would think you're so cool. He'd find your chosen field of work to be so inspiring, and be perfectly happy with texting as a form of communication while you're busy, so long as you spent some really good quality time with him when you could both swing it. He'd take a long time shopping around before settling on buying you a golden necklace to wear while you're apart, but I think he's secretly really sentimental like that. I know he'd love record hunting with you but, even more, he would adore listening to the new treasures you find together while trying a new muffin recipe with you. From the World’s End (Loki tv) Sylvie-centric gen, written for MFD

Tell Me My Name (Loki tv) Sylvie/Hunter-B15, written for MFD

Love is Yellow (Life is Strange: True Colors) Alex/Ryan & Alex/Steph, written for my own challenge I’m gonna fail otherwise :D So the thing here is that this Christmas I got a buttload of fresh games as a present, and I managed to get obsessed with a lot of stuff. TC is special in my heart because it’s about grief and it really helped me, it was very cathartic and this fic helped me get back into my writing grooves. (Which btw vastly improved, I promise!)

Please Ignore the Fear Demon (Charmed 2018) Macy-centric gen, written for ToT, one of my worst challenge experiences, my recip was not only a serial non-commenter, they had a locked letter, prompts that were contradictory (only romance prompts for siblings but no inclination for incest), and they didn’t even reply to the mod who I reached out to. I guess the challenge participants wanted to be kind with kudos and a lovely comment. It still left me so sour, I haven’t written for a while after this. (Also I get that sometimes people drop off of challenges and that’s okay, but since the letter and prompts and everything, it was clear my recip didn’t want this fandom anymore.)

I really didn’t ship them as an OT3, yeah, right until I started this drabble. I still have the big epic OT3 fic WIP this one inspired, though I’m not so sure I’ll ever finish.

Now That She’s Here (Agents of SHIELD) Bakshi/Jemma, written for Rare Pair Fest, and you guessed it, for hithelleth - I recently re-read this fic, and I was hit by such nostalgia. :D We do know how to pick our rare ships, don’t we?

How to Deal with Haunted Objects: A Helpful Guide by Jenny Mills (Sleepy Hollow TV) Crane/Hawley - I’m utterly devastated how bad the show turned out at the end, and how they kept writing off good characters. Anyway, still one of my cutest fics.

We’re Not Broken (The Vampire Diaries TV) Elena/Rebekah There was a time when my brain was occupied with nothing but TVD, it was never a perfect show, but it was fun to write for and Elena had to be shipped with every original. HAD TO BE.

You know what? These are pretty niche

They didn’t get a lot of traction but I still love them, and I had to realize at this point that I’m mostly writing the rarest of rare pairs.

Blood and Starlight (The Vampires Diaries TV) Elena/Rebekah

This is How the Story Ends (Once Upon a Time) Ruby/Victor written for Rare Pair Fest - again for a non-commenter or a sock, but at least I enjoyed it.

Love Stories for Dead People (TVD TV) Elena/Klaus - for some reason, this is my only fic translated into Russian. I’m still fucking proud of that. :D

I’ll Be Your Safety (How to Train Your Dragon movies) human!Toothless/Hiccup - Not like it makes it any better that I made Toothless a human cursed into a dragon form (especially that I really rushed this in this particular fic) but you have to understand, in the books Toothless talks like a human being. :D So my brain latched onto this ship. To this day, it still gets kudos, and you know what? You go, people, who ship a dragon with a human. You go.

Pieces of Us (Arrow) Diggle/Felicity/Oliver - my OG OT3, or wait? Was that Klaus/Elena/Elijah? Anyway, this was written for the Rare Ship Swap, and I’m still pissed at how rare this ship was.

Clean Slate (Supernatural) Destiel - this... is so not me. Was a gift fic for a friend.

Just Like You (TVD) Elena/Kol - the shipping goes on even if the characters are dead.

Mirror (TVD) pre-Elena/Elijah - My first ever fic I’ve written in English, and yeah, in some places it shows, it’s very dated, but it helped me to find my voice, and experiment with darker themes.

Come and Find Me in the Dark Now (TVD) Elena/Klaus

A Love Story Starring Monsters (TVD) Elena/Klaus - this fic was recced in the same post as Sandrine’s and adlyb’s fics, so I think I just went to heaven when I saw that. It’s a personal accomplishment I’ll always cherish. Also, this was written for the Rare Pair Fest for hithelleth. :)

Scarred Heart in Hand (Sleepy Hollow) Abbie/Jenny - yeah, niche incest rare pair

She Belongs to Fairy Tales (Revolution) Charlie/Miles - there was a time, a golden time in fandom when Revolution was a thing. And we all shipped the most glorious ships. Also, admittedly this is only, like, a writing exercise. BTW, did you know someone linked this fic to fanlore??? I am forever immortalized by an incest fic. :D

Scattered Pieces of Who I Am (Revolution) Bass/Charlie/Miles - I really should have written 50k of this.

The Ashes Fell Like Snow (Once Upon a Time) Hook/Emma - what did you say? The fic that contains the most popular canon het ship tanked? Well, it got nominated for a CaptainSwan award iirc, which mildly surprised me, because let’s face it I just killed LITERALLY everyone in this fic, while Hook is brainwashed. (I still remember someone on ffnet complaining why I killed all of the characters when I warned for it. OR ASKING for a sequel to write a happy ending.)

The absolute flop, the trash, the garbage fire

Let’s face it, not every fic we write is good, and not every fic we write is even readable, especially if we’re not writing in our native language. These are not all bad, but rather unknown fandoms... but there’s nightmare-inducing cringe here.

The Way We Fall (Supernatural) Destiel -  Well, it’s certainly a fic... It was supposed to be some sad, told backwards story, but something is definitely missing here.

Introduction (The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare) Sebastian/Clary - So this? This is painfully bad. Awful trash. I’m not gonna delete it because I lol’d when re-reading it and I can see my progress at least. It’s clumsily translated (with the help of two English teachers lol really, not even kidding), and sometimes the Hungarian just shines through. But anyway, it’s also very very very awfully written. The sentence structure, the... I don’t even know. I wrote this sometime when I started COLLEGE. Jesus. Also it’s AO3 locked because of the whole CC drama.

Fairy Tales and Nightmares (The Unwritten) Lizzie-centric gen - Now, this is not a bad fic, but look there are only 6 whole fics written for this fandom, this being one. I don’t even think anyone knows about these comics besides the comic nerds.

strawberry: before getting together, how did your F/O realize they had a crush on you? How did they act around you once they realized they were head over heels?

One day I didn’t show up at all around the cinema he works at for a solid week and he had minor freak out, wondering why I stopped coming. It had became a routine for me drop by and chat with him when he had no immediate work to do. We hadn’t exchanged numbers yet so he couldn’t simply call me either (I’m forgetful and he didn’t want to get emotionally close to anyone). 

Then he wondered why he had such an alarming reaction, but brushed any realization aside. Until I came back that is and apologized in bubbly, awkward manner that I had been meeting friends and forgot to mention it and he got me to smile and he realized right then that ‘oh noo oh fuck I have a crush on her’.

Through his actions, hand holding, playing piano, remembering little things and gets me to help him when he’s fixing cars because he loves to involve me in his hobbies. ♥

Murphy has a recipe he cherishes because one of the nuns in his orphanage teached it to him. He also has a certain old, dirty toy he treasures because he used to play with it when he was young.

That’s not even speaking of doctor who’s vampire, zombie apocalypse survivor and demon hunter..

I also tend to keep Murphy away from anything depicting child death, for obvious reasons. He will start crying.

Murphy doesn’t buy little trinkets all the time, he tends to listen what I say and get larger items that I lament on not getting.

He gets them to me on my birthday and christmas.

Anniversary is for roses.

I’m the one buying little trinkets like angel statues and casettes. I tend to bake cheesecake for his birthday and baking his absolute favorite pie on anniversary.

We’re both very routine-oriented. It keeps our anxiety in check. And Murphy’s PTSD, since he has routined to take meds.

Not one location, but we enjoy road trips! Every year in summer, when it’s not too hot for a week we go on long ass drive across the country with baked goodies and stop on diners and sightseeing! Especially grand if we find cute little bookstore or occult shop.

Holding my hand and putting on music that makes me feel better.

What are your favourite things to do with zhao?

EVERYTHING!

No no, but where to begin~

Let's start with something basic~ Since Zhao is competitive in nature, I love playing video games with him. With us, despite his being competitive it's not a malicious type of competition, and a lot of the time it ends up with us play fighting to sabotage the other's gameplay and it is always in good fun.

Just lounging around the apartment together is also one of my favourite things. Zhao is usually sitting upright and I'm the one sprawled out on the sofa with my feet dangling off the end of it and my head in his lap~ I love it because there's never a thought and I always get Zhao playing with my hair, gaze fixed forward towards the tv. And boy does it ever give me the butterflies~

I'll add one more of my many favourite things~ And that's strolling around Ijincho. Doesn't matter how often, it always feels so natural walking next to him, fingers intertwined as our arms swing in tandem. It's one of my favourite things as it's a time when we talk about anything and everything, the things you think about when you've left the safety and comfort of your private walls. Sometimes we get looks but it matters to neither of us because we're happy in our little bubble and we both know we can kick and or haul ass if we need to!

Ahhh why do these things make me feel so soft, warm and mushy... Like a pile of mashed potatoes smothered in gravy... Thank you for the ask bb ♥

So my insert with Zhao, she is well known for owning a motorcycle BUT I'd like to introduce you to my inserts beautiful ride~

She is the owner of a Chrysler 300 in this specific colour~

Zhao is sitting on the couch when Ama comes over and plops down beside him, being enveloped in his arms immediately. She slouches down and allows her head to find rest against his chest as she nuzzles into his embrace.

"Did you drink water?" He asks softly, nuzzling his nose into her hair.

Silently she nods, her body melting into his, His response is a soft chuckle, "Get yourself some rest baby... Don't worry I'll get you to bed."

Zhao hugs her close, lips pressing the softest kiss to the top of her head. She's silent but content as she lets herself drift off to sleep, all thoughts melting away at the warmth of her husband's arms around her.

Also, can I talk about how much I hate his little smirk!? Like my man looks borderline unhinged and I don't know how I'm supposed to feel! And it's like even in Infinite Wealth's pause menu... He's got that stupid subtle and sexy smirk going on... Like, excuse you!

This man is just so gorgeous and I love him so heckin' much... My beloved husband~ The beautiful and stunning Tianyou Zhao... Light of my life... My better half... Looks so damn good holding a gun... Just looks so damn good all of the time~
