Ha-ha-lo!

Well, first of all, this is an attempt to put some exciting comments of mine on several fascinating topics that, fascinate me, on the net, though it is undoubtedly lagging of me to have this marvellous plan in such a fresh new modern fas-pacing year like 2023. Please have me. I'm serious.

To make things clear, I am your average human being trying to figure things out. Still it's really fun to appear on someone's feed, feeling palpitating, wondering if I'm being idiotic, etc.

Well, I guess I am now ...

Anyway! Ehem, I would like a few more words about today.

I have two interesting stories today. The first one is ... still a secret. Sorry, my bad. The second one is a fun video I watched on YouTube, which shows a Japanese bartender named Shinobu Ishigaki making a wondrous looking beverage called FIG x WALNUT DAIQUIRI. Extremely good video, nice ambience, man has nice skills. I definitely love the vibe. Guess there's nothing more to comment about it!

Also known as the cocktail time watch. The SARB065 has since been discontinued. In 2010, Seiko collaborated with Shinobu Ishigaki(石垣 忍) a Tokyo’s top Bartender to create this series of watch, which has been immensely popular

The SARB065, or “Cool” was among the firsts. It was released together with the SARB066 nicknamed “Dry” and the SARB068 called “Sweet”.

What I’ve Got: Seiko Cocktail Time

I’ve had this beautiful watch for a couple weeks now, and thought I’d do a post about its design and history.

Back in 2010, Seiko teamed up with Ishigaki Shinobu, Japan’s “top bartender”, to produce a line of upper-mainstream watches. Shinobu-San designed three “Cocktail Time” watches, named after different flavors: SARB065 was “Cool”, SARB066 “Dry”, and the limited (to 300 pieces) SARB068 “Sweet”. The model that I have is the SARB065 “Cool”.

The Cocktail time features a dome shaped crystal that refracts light beautifully onto it’s gorgeous dial. The dial is white with a subtle blue tint, complementing the pale blue seconds hand. The use of chiselled edges on the hands, hour markers, and dial really brings together the design.

Finally, the Cocktail time gives you a peek at it’s fine automatic movement with a transparent case back- rare at this price point.
