#Shinji is largely designed to be a deconstruction of Star Sapphires as a whole

I'm tempted to write a fic about my Star Sapphire OC, Shinji Cendre. But I have nothing in terms of plans beyond moments of Shinji training Tai Pham and a loose consideration of Earth being a melting pot planet. (Similar to Ben 10 Omniverse and Undertown)

Small biography under the cut

Shinji is mixed and tan skinned. (Japanese and French) The french part of the family has been in america for a bit. The Japanese migrated recently. Shinji is no contact with his family and lives in Coast City were he runs a tattoo parlor called Rebel Rose. Shinji does have a tattoo, it's a full sleeve of rose briar with a single white lily on his left arm. (rose briar floriography)

In my head his Star Sapphire costume is largely inspired by Violet, Cendrillon, and Ella from Persona 5R. I particularly like the emphasis on Ella's (Cinderella's) 'glass slippers. I would probably use Cendrillon's cape as a base for a veil that's attached to the crown all Star Sapphires seem to have. I also really like Violet's cropped tailcoat his left arm is sleeveless to show off his tattoo. I honestly prefer the forth image for a snapy tailcoat (minus the sequins, I don't like sequins) and the Star Sapphire titty window on a basic leotard.
