Budo is a great leader and a nice friend, but he is so distracted. He doesn't pay much attention in class, making the teachers yell at him often. The members of his club think he is a great sensei.

About his crush, he is always fighting with Umeji for him. Even Shin likes Umeji, Budo is Shin's favorite.

About her crush, she is engaged to a boy from another family of traditions, the boy does not study in Akademi. She knows she must do it, but she doesn't want to marry him.

Mina keeps Shima out of trouble with Budo, but even she has a hard time doing so

Mina takes Shima to the gardens on the sides of the school when they're not busy, they both enjoy the walk

Shima talked Mina into doing wrestling moves with her, Mina prefers normal martial arts moves, but only tried to make Shima happy

Both are quick to defend each other in tough situations and often get into arguments with others that way
