Some time ago I liked BBC and some longer time ago I liked mystrade. Until I didn't and itched for better ACD rep for these guys - personally there's more to him than fat and lazy (Watson, for Victorian era related reasons is fixated on Mycroft's fatness and I've always been icked by that lol), and > Inspector Lestrade senses he knows more about his brother's disappearance than he lets on.

And on that note, lestrade — the doctor writes him as this too-conventional and snobbish detective that frequently discredits sherlock's work when actually there's probably a reason far beyond what Watson perceived as simple envy...

...It's not so simple, if it makes him a volatile person and a tenacious inspector — and more importantly, it isn't plain envy that makes him the only person after Mycroft to drop everything and find himself at 221B's doorstep.

sorry this is just me being a hater but i started watching hbomberguy's video about the doctor who 2017 christmas special bc of that post and omg his takes are incomprehensible to anyone who's actually seen this show i have no idea how they became so widely accepted (except i do and it's that the people who accepted them didn't actually watch capaldi era but anyway). i was talking in the tags of that post about how i think it's ridiculous that he complains in the sherlock video that the series 8 character arcs are written in a way where questions about the characters brought up in one episode take several episodes to reach resolution rather than being resolved in that same episode, but it gets worse! in his dedicated doctor who video he contradicts himself by complaining that the characters AREN'T allowed to grow across the season because moffat clearly personally wrote scenes into other guest writer's episodes about the series arc. supposedly this removes the time that could have been dedicated to character growth, except the series arc in question is nothing BUT character growth. that is what those scenes moffat inserted are. like imagine if kill the moon didn't have the big blow out argument at the end, because apparently that's the world hbomberguy wants to live in and thinks would make for better character writing?? the mind boggles.

Elementary has a lot of flaws, but I do think one thing they did right was showing how Watson and Holmes love one another—Holmes says it more than once—yet it’s not, nor is it ever forced to be (except as an inside joke with the novel series Joan’s stepfather writes) intended to be romantic.

It would have been easy to fall into that trap, too, since they wouldn’t have to worry about homophobia since they made Watson a woman. So I’m especially grateful.

I think, in some ways, it makes their relationship deeper and more profound but also it’s nice to see the closest to a QPR I’ve personally seen on a mainstream show (esp one that aired about 10 years ago).

Lemme explain! We moved and didn’t have internet and it kept being rescheduled to turn it back on and for some reason because of that Tumblr would NOT let me post anything.

Then when I went to wifi areas I’d forget to post. Although we did just get it on one of my devices it still won’t let me post for whatever reason.

BUT I DID POST A NEW CHAPTER AND WE FINALLY GO AND MEET TO THE HARTWIN FAMILY RESIDENCE!!! Yes I may have posted that chapter in a McDonald’s. But I didn’t really have any other options(I did and this is a lie, I’ve just been to busy to go any other place, but I was hanging out with a sibling so)

Told myself I was only gonna participate in Artfight passively this year but here i am less than a week out so hyped that i’m prepping some new defenders. Finally getting around to designing Bandit Blue’s bestie/rival, Aurelio. His main costume is giving me some trouble though lol.
