Okay so I figured out how Zaik and Max met.

Since Shell often goes to The Gami-Dimension, because his son is the Demi-God of that universe, I figured that maybe he brings Zaik with him every now and then to get Zaik out of the Mansion.

One day Zaik while exploring the forest he ran into a old abandoned house, outside of said house was Max.

Zaik and Max got to talking and quickly became friends.

When Max got kicked out of the place after the place was bought, Zaik obviously found out and basically begged Shell to let him stay with them. Shell, not being able to say 'no', allowed it, under the condition that Max must actively try to find a job.
