I made this book as a gift for someone. Completed on 09/22/23.

Typeset is my own (Towns End Bindery).

This book is a Star Wars fic. I have never read it, but now that I have bound it, I will try it out. Yes, the cover was printed on directly using an inkjet printer.

The end pages feature the actors who play Beru Whitesun as her young version in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show (Bonnie Piesse), and older version from Episode 4: A New Hope (Shelagh Fraser).

W A T C H I N G

A far as hammer films go I'd say it's 4.5/10.

The location, the costumes, the acting are all really good. The story has a good build up, but the finale was a little stupid for my tastes and what I used to in Hammer Films.

For character bingo: Aunt Beru

Thank you so much for this ask @oenothera5! I love Aunt Beru but I confess I don't think too much about her apart from loving her madly for doing such a great job raising my perfect Jedi. 💛💛

They're deeper than they seem: Raising Luke shows both Beru and Owen really have so much heart and kindness, and they protected him despite knowing the very real dangers of his lineage and the possibility it would end badly.

Didn't get enough screen time: I would have loved more Aunt Beru interaction with Luke, but the magnificent Shelagh Fraser managed to give us SO MUCH with her tiny fragment of film that just showcased what a fabulous actress she was.  That depth came through and I love her.

As for the better as part of a dynamic, of course Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen are like peanut butter and jelly, they just go together, often in the same sentence.  And neither of them ever did anything wrong in their lives!!!  They just wanted the best for their ward and did everything they could to protect him.
