Shein Haul Fail: But I Still Love You, Shein!

Okay, so I finally got around to reviewing this Shein haul, and it wasn't quite what I expected. To be honest, the clothes weren't my favorite this time around, lol. But don't get me wrong, I still love Shein! I just wasn't feeling these particular items, so they're going back.

Side note: this order took a whole 20 days to arrive – seriously, the longest 20 days ever.

Anyway, let's get into it! I'll break down each item I bought and why it ultimately didn't work for me.

-> Sandals that give off Birkenstock vibes

Okay, so these shoes are a flop. Visually, they're pretty spot on, but that's where the good news ends. I ordered a women's US size 8.5, and what I got... well, it says it's an 8.5, but that is not possible. I'm not sure how to describe the size, it was that off. It's like they were shrunken. lol

Now, I know this isn't a Shein-wide issue, because I've ordered other shoes from them without any problems. But these? Definitely a toddler-sized shoe, despite what the label says. They're cute, but totally unwearable.

They retail for $24.20 USD, and honestly? Hard pass. Don't recommend them at all.

-> Extra-Long Cardigan

Okay, but the fabric quality on this cardigan? Tragic! This was so disappointing because I had a lot of plans for this cardigan. In hindsight, the stock photo could have given this away, but just looking quickly, I figured it was a regular cardigan material. Instead, I received this clump of fabric, which could only be described as a fleece blanket with sleeves. This cardigan retails for about $12.70 USD. Do I recommend it? Obviously, I don't, although it's because I'm not into this material. I'll let you be the judge.

-> My Dream Penny Lane Coat -or so I thought

Okay, this one might not be everyone's cup of tea, but hear me out! Do a quick search for "Penny Lane Coat" on Pinterest, and you'll understand why I was obsessed with this faux fur coat.

When I saw it online, it was basically a dream come true. It arrived, and honestly? It's totally my style. The fit was perfect, and it had that flamboyant vibe I love.

The problem? The color. It's this... orange. I had a feeling it might not be perfect when I ordered it, but trying it on confirmed it: not my favorite. I think I'd prefer a dark brown or black.

Also, this coat is definitely for mild weather only. It's 100% polyester (I'm guessing, haven't checked the tag), and it feels like it would disintegrate in a strong breeze. Oh, and I have to mention the static. It's so bad, it could probably power a small city! ⚡️

It retails for $37.71 USD, which isn't terrible, but the quality just isn't there. So, sadly, it's going back.

Final thoughts? I might have to try thrifting a real fur coat. Nothing beats traditional materials—they're warm and sturdy. But I'm not giving up on this style! The search continues.

Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with this haul, but thankfully everything can be returned! My Shein shopping adventures will definitely continue, though. They have so many great items, it just takes some digging to find the gems.

Look at the review photos. Real people, real clothes – you get a much better idea of what to expect.
