Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

That's so wholesome! Hope you don't mind me adding a thing this made me think of- super unrelated though haha.

So there's a thing where strong emotions cause physical symptoms. Heartbreak can literally cause someone to die, mimicking the effects of a heart attack. I'm not sure if it's the same for strong feelings of love or affection though.

Now what I wanted to talk about, my cat. Sometimes when she comes to cuddle me I get so happy my heart physically hurts and have to focus on my breathing.

Symptoms of a heart attack are chest pain, trouble breathing and heart palpitations, among other things of course. But thats what I experience when I feel so much love for my cat.

I love my fur baby so much I get a phantom heart attack basically.

fun fact:

whenever i am drawing by myself i get excited so i squeeze my fists really tightly and basically vibrate for a second, which normally wouldn't be an issue. but the thing is, sometimes i squeeze them too fast and fucking hurt myself

Good ol' Peach... she was nothing if well-intentioned. The sight of her processing what he said then her response was all...perfect. It warmed his heart so much that the leaking smile turned into muffled chuckles then an outright laugh. He felt as though he should clarify. 'Sides, it's called Mario Kart for a reason! The Green House was always available to her friends, of course, though Mario was right to ask about the flowers first. She sometimes had recipes planned and she had more Fire Flowers and Ice Flowers in the greenhouse then any othe rpower-up specifically for the cooking purposes.

She listens to his words attently, and puts a little thought to it. "Well, In that case... It has been a little bit since any sort of competition hasn't it? Perhaps I should get a new tournament underway for everyone?" Plus a sporting or karting competition usually meant Bowser was going to behave for a little while longer.
