URGGG I FEEL SO CRINGE YOU GUYS IM CRINGE IM CRINGE!!!!
anyways i don't often do this, but I made a ship kid (kinda??????) for retrorock // freshgrease. its name is goulash. its design is still a work in progess, so don't take anything as absolute here
it was created during a freak accident between fresh and greaser when fresh's host body was dying, and he needed to move into another host body before it died, so greaser allowed fresh to infiltrate his. some real nasty work happened (I haven't worked out the exact details yet lolol), and a piece of greaser's soul and fresh's parasite fused or whatever and escaped. that was goulash. and straight after it slipped into some unfortunate AU and took a host body, though very violently, creating a huge star-shaped fracture around the left eye. goulash does this with every host body it steals.
this also means goulash was never a child at any point (unlike literally all the other ship kids). it'll always steal adult host bodies since kid hosts are too weak (and totally lame)
uh anyway. I've been working on his personality and design more than his origins, and all you need to know currently is that he's really really stupid and designed off of old rockstars
though i feel really cringy for adding him with the other ship children (bc I feel like I'm almost forcing him in there when it feels like he doesn't belong bc nobody knows him), I have quite a few comics and pieces featuring him so people better understand his character since I genuinely think he'd be a lot of fun (and hey if people are interested in him, then later I'll officially flesh out everything and make his origins public)
anyway upset i didn't add lux :( I love her sm, but she came to mind afterward. also don't look into the logistics of both pj and cray being here. it's better not to think about it
Goulash - me (unfortunately)
Palette Roller - @lasseutblogo
Paperjam (tehe i love drawing him sm) - @7goodangel
Spray Cray - @spraycray

#i thought it'd be fun to reuse this design for her! she doesn't have a spot in the story yet tho so i might change stuff#the blockbuster tattoo is staying though. i will find a way to make it work in a fantasy world#mia's world#ask answer#alamuts lair of madness#i think i'll post it as a web novel with some drawings?#need to flesh out some more stuff before i post anything though LOL

Arcane's Music Videos and Storytelling
Many have complained about Arcane Season 2 overusing "music videos" compared to Season 1 and I agree. Two in particular - "Sucker" in episode 2 and "Hellfire" in episode 3 - are particularly bothersome because instead of being supplementary to the storytelling, they replace the storytelling. Entire plotlines are told through these music videos and barely expanded upon further through writing. Despite both depicting very major events that are incredibly impactful for both Zaun and the characters involved.
First, the Chembarons' gang war. Shown entirely through the "Sucker" sequence, dialogueless. Later, there are only a few brief written scenes related to it (Smeech heading to Margot and the meeting table discussion, neither of which actually depict the war). Smeech is later killed and the gang war story is abandoned by episode 3. This would have been such a major event for Zaunites. Not just for major characters, but for everyone who has the misfortune to live in that city. If they had actually written this subplot out, the worldbuilding could have been expanded upon and given much more depth, these Chembarons with excellent designs could have been fleshed out and not felt like a waste of characters, and we would have gotten more insight into the lives of the average joes in Zaun. It would have been a natural continuation of the Chembarons' introduction in Season 1 too. This subplot could have easily taken up the entirety of Act 1, but because of too many competing subplots, it had to be cut short and summarized by the song.
Next, Caitlyn's squad releasing The Grey into Zaun. Shown entirely through the "Hellfire" sequence, also dialogueless. The impact of this action is only briefly mentioned later through dialogue, when really this would have had a huge effect on many people living in Zaun. If they had written this entire sequence out regularly, we could have had character building for the three new enforcers as they interact with Vi and Cait while moving through Zaun. We need this, as two of them don't even have names yet. One doesn't have any dialogue yet. We could have seen in detail the impact of their actions on Zaun, rather than only being told. We could have had much needed characterization for Vi. What was her reaction to this plan when it was first conceived? Did she oppose it initially and have to be convinced?
I want to experience these events as a story, not as an AMV. It's admirable how artistic and beautifully made these sequences are, but they are the epitome of "style over substance." In my opinion, rather than being at the beginning of the episodes, these sequences could have worked as end credits. They are summaries of subplots after all. The episodes themselves could have these storylines written out regularly, and then the end credits have beautiful imagery summarizing what happened.
They could have taken a page out of Chainsaw Man's book. Each episode of Chainsaw Man had a highly stylized end credits sequence, all with different animation styles, with imagery of that particular episode's plot. The episodes themselves have normal written storytelling. This way you can flex your artistry as much as you want, without sacrificing the writing. Arcane's end credits are just a black screen with text. If anything could have been replaced with stylized visuals and have nothing of value lost, it was that.

Oh yeah, I have another AU and just like the Harlequin AU, it's a huge one
For the uninitiated, Origins AU is a slice of life + action adventure comedy centered around the Glamrock cast, as they try to get by starting their own band and maybe, kicking ass. No, Security Breach & Ruin isn't canon to this AU, its it's own world (though SB characters can show up as a minor cast).
I'm pretty sure the reason this au started was because I saw the baby Monty decal from Gator golf and thought, "Why is Monty the only one with this? The others should also have their origins too" (hence the name)
These are all SUPER old art btw, from all the way back to 2022
One thing led to another, and with the joint effort with my bf @nobody-nexus, Origins AU began with baby decal concepts, to fleshed out world(s), backstories and lore.
Lots, and LOTS of em. But for the sake of not boring anyone with details, I'll summarize.
Freddy is an Alien space bear Supersoldier called an "Ursin'ul" (play on words on "ursine" and "arsenal") crash landing on earth, refusing to participate in propaganda and colonizing other planets once he found out the truth about his kind
Chica is a rebellious yet naive meravian Princess who learns forbidden knowledge to be able to walk on land and explore the world beyond the sea, as long as she keeps hydrating
Roxy is the bad girl small-time rockstar that's closed off to most people due to her upbringing, and transforms into a werewolf when full moon hits
Monty is a 9-foot tall irradiated alligator being pursued by the government after he broke out, whom wants to study him in order to create potential bio-weaponized supersoldiers
And Bonnie is... Roxy's roommate getting caught in the crossfire. A normal guy with a lot of uncles (almost ALL Bonnies from the entire franchise are related to him), and owns a bowling alley. That's it lmao, he doesn't have a secret or a superpower like everyone, he's just the average menkisser
They're always pursued by The Rockstars in this AU, all with personal motives behind their actions: Francois being forced to find and retrieve Freddy by Levi's (Lefty) orders, Clarabelle wants revenge for her eye from Roxy, Felix is down horrendous for Chica and wants to marry her against her will, and Brian is tasked with retrieving Monty.
Other variants in the franchise have their own thing too lmao, HW dlc being weird country guys, Toys being a Mafia group/Toymakers with an ongoing feud with the Funtimes, Withereds/Classics being veterans in the ent. industry, and Fury's Rage enemies aren't enemies, but Monty's friends from his time in confinement. There's Nightmares too, but they aren't a thing until the end.
I've made lots of shitposts, artworks and designs alongside Nexus for this au, and one day, I wanna come back to it and work on tweaking stuff as well as story beats. For now, I got a lot of things I have to work on first and this serves as an archive for the au's ideas.

coriolanus, a couple of years into university, starting his vengeance.
he doesn't mean to start so personal, so familial. but after tigris' constant avoidance had left him feeling lonely, coriolanus is tired of feeling like the victim. he wants to slowly taint the things she loves most. starting with you.
you're over one day, visiting your girlfriend who has yet to come back from working. the afternoon sun starts to bleed into the evening dusk, and coriolanus, ever the host, decides to entertain you.
it's hard to decipher how you end up in the position, but suddenly your back is against the tile walls and coriolanus has a hand at your side and the other above your head. he's caging you in, buff and slender body taking up any space you could've had. you've shrunken in on yourself, hands bawled into fists at your sides, your eyes wide and the breathing shallow.
he notices all of this, daring to smile as casual as can be since he isn't the one backed into a corner. "relax," he tells you, voice low and sweet. he uses one of his hands to cup your chin, running the soft pad of his thumb along your skin as he tips your head up. "what's got you so nervous? hm?"
you don't speak and coriolanus lifts his eyebrows to encourage you to do so.
"we ... we shouldn't be doing this, coriolanus–"
"coryo," he corrects you quickly. no one calls him that anymore, but he wants you to.
you take a second. "coryo," and the you continue. "tigris and i are–"
he interrupts you. "she doesn't treat you how you should be treated. you deserve better. you deserve more." when you look nowhere near convinced, coriolanus licks his lips. he takes a step closer to you, pressing you even further into the wall and pushing his hips into you. surely you can feel the bulge forming in his pants.
"with these long hours she's been working lately, does she even have time for you anymore? is she pleasing you anymore?"
it takes a second, but you shake your head.
coriolanus' smile grows. "that's what i thought."
he takes his hand from your chin and slips it under your short dress. he recognizes the design as a creation of his cousins, and he doesn't fail to appreciate the perfectness of it all. not the outfit but the situation. taking the one person tigris loves the most while they wear the garments that tigris cares so much about.
coriolanus presses the pads of his middle and pointer finger along your cunt, expecting to find a layer of cloth keeping him from your flesh. instead, he's met with wet heat.
his eyebrows furrow, he tilts his head.
he doesn't have to say anything before you're explaining.
"she told me to come like this."
coriolanus scoffs, rolling his eyes as he presses his fingers along your cunt more firmly, dragging the digits up and down through your slick before settling on your clit with slow circles. "she told you to come here, wet and leaking and ready for her, only to leave you high and dry?" he tightens the circles a little more, adoring the way your jaw goes slack and your eyes glaze over. "don't you think that's just cruel?"
you nod quickly, already eager to cum. coriolanus can't help but grin cockily. you're so easy to get fucked out. you're so easy to manipulate. he wants to keep you around.
"yeah? you gonna let me show you how you should be treated? hm?"
he slows his fingers for a second, just to tease and gauge your reaction, and you're quick to reply. nodding so vigorously that coriolanus is worried you'll hurt yourself. wrapping your hand around his wrist and grinding against his fingers desperately, you plead.
"yes, god, yes, coriolan––coryo. just please, don't stop."

Pt. 28 - Fucking Machines
A/N: Why is it always dom!Feyd these days? I miss sub!Feyd, but he ain't back yet 😅
TAGS: she/her AFAB FMC, dub-con, dom!Feyd, BDSM, restraints, overstimulation
WORD COUNT: 700
"No, no, no, you can't!" She laments pitifully upon being forcefully pushed down on the bench by three demure slaves. Feyd-Rautha cradles her head against the headrest, snaring her pleading gaze with a saccharine smile.
"It's to your own benefit, sweetling." The slaves slot her wrists in the designated shackles under the bench and lift her kicking legs to the struts that jut up on each side of the contraption. "I can't be wasting hours of my days to break your little pussy in."
The three bald figures scurry wordlessly out of Feyd-Rautha's wicked play room and when the door whirrs shut, it is only him and her left in this torture chamber. She is spread apart, ankles, wrists and waist tied and one look down the length of her helplessly writhing body reveals a device with a phallus of shiny, black plastic attached, ready to start pistoning into her bared cunt.
At the very least, he squirts a generous glob of lube into his palm and spreads it all over the exposed, tender flesh between her thighs while she whines and shakes her head no with growing despair. Her little clit swells under the ministrations of his calloused fingers and by the time he switches on the machine, she barely takes notice of it, caught up in the throes of pleasure.
Only when the cool plastic breaches her wet, little hole, her eyes snap down and her limbs spasm in their restraints. Feyd-Rautha chuckles and stands, wiping his fingers clean on his trousers. The shiny cock slides beautifully into his darling's cunt and she takes it so well, much better than he thought.
"What do you think, three sessions a day should be enough?" His chest vibrates with a deep chuckle while the phallus drills slowly into her squishy cunt. "Or should I just keep you here? I'll even take you to the bathroom for a piss every other hour if you're good."
"I ha-a-ate you!" She hisses pitifully, though her toes curl treacherously in the air.
Nonchalantly, he switches the machine to a wickedly high setting and pushes himself off the wall, sauntering to the door with long, graceful limbs.
"N-No-o-o, ahhh, don't leave me, please!" She cries out for him. "I'm sorry, m'sorry, sorry!"
"You don't know how lucky you are, sweetling," Feyd-Rautha tut-tuts and returns with measured steps. "All the effort I'm taking on me to make sure I won't split you open on my cock when I have you."
Pleadingly, she waits for him to turn down the setting, but Feyd only settles in the leather armchair across from her and palms himself over his trousers. Her whining and pleading only makes him determined to keep her here longer, until she's half unconscious with drool slipping from both corners of her mouth.
It takes half an hour for him to take mercy on her. When the rattling of the machine subsides, she whimpers quietly and her empty hole clenches pitifully around nothing.
"Aw, poor darling," he drawls and gracefully crouches down, swapping the slick-glistening phallus for a bigger one with practiced ease.
"S-Stop, no more!" She writhes like a snake. "Why?! Yours doesn't even look like that!" She barks out with shaky voice while Feyd already nudges the thick head to her swollen, weeping entrance.
"Does it not?" The machine jumps into motion and his woman yowls out, thrashing against the restraints as her pussy is forced to take the obscene girth and length of the toy. "It was modeled after my own," Feyd-Rautha reveals with a wicked grin. "Convince yourself."
Leisurely, he saunters around the bench and adjusts the height of the headrest to match his hips. Then, he snaps down the top part of it, letting his sweetling's head roll back with a frightened yelp. Her despair only grows bigger when Feyd-Rautha unfastens his pants and pulls out his impressive cock, stroking himself right over her face. Long, dark veins coil across the underside.
"It's n-n-not going to fi-i-it," she laments, face and hairline damp with sweat. Chuckling, Feyd lets his cock fall against her cheek and forehead.
"Open wide, my darling," he purrs. "Your pussy is not the only hole that needs breaking in."
A/N: We need a mop in aisle ten 💦💦💦 Or at least I need one in mine.

FINALLY FINISHED THE REF SHEET PLUS OTHER DRAWINGS YAAYYY okay so i had the ref sheet done basically two days ago BUT i wanted to draw some more because my ref sheets look so......just stand there kinda scary so MORE ART !!! also skip if you are seeing this when i say our mcs twin bro......we are so mind connected with the skeleton sweaters my lord when i logged on and saw that both step 2 designs had them..........my goodness..i think we might just be the same person....
I want to try and flesh out relationships and dynamics more i think thats something i kind of struggle with with ocs so..that is what the rest of this post will be backstory, character traits, etc etc if you chose to read i will love you forever
Step 1: Gosh...I love making characters really reeaaallllyyy awkward and that's exactly what Lenae is. Her awkwardness is really just stemming from anxiety or nervousness. Qiu and her's dynamic is so sweet to me I love characters being to nervous to say things and then another saysit for them omg im weak yeah thats so them. Lenae and Tam on the other hand....it's not like Lenae doesn't liker her she knows she means well and is extremely sweet but Lenae just can't understand why she is so loud and energetic all the time, she finds it hard to keep up. She IS the sweetest kid you would ever come across though, she will do anything to see you smile. Her earmuffs are a constant, everyone else may think it's just a comfort thing but it is in fact a noise thing we just don't know that yet guys(undiagnosed autism is craayyy)
Step 2: Still being that same shy, sweet kid while looking emo AND TRANSGENDER?? not for the weak. Still shy and reserved maybe even more so but no one really expects anything else. I think meek is a very good descriptor, they get freaked so so easily like has never had a peaceful day in their life. However, Halloween IS their favorite time of the year, it's an aesthetics thing i guess. If you pass by Lenae in the halls you would probably think that they were on their last few threads of patience by the sour look on their face but no, they could be having the best day of their life with that face on. They found it tiring to keep that placid smile on their face all the time when it wasn't always real. In this stage Lenae has definitely started expierimenting with different art mediums like dabbling in painting, poetry, music, you name it. Qiu and Lenae are still the bestest friends ever(bestest crushes ever???) and it's actually kind of nice to have someone by your side who knows what you're going through with your gender identity struggle and everything. Lenae for sure feels bad for how they treated Tam just because they thought she was a little much, I mean it was kind of hypocritical, so they've been trying to make it up to her by being kind of everyly nice?? oh boy oh boy
Step 3: I really don't know a lot of what I could write for step 3 since like nothing of it is out in the actual game SO were just gonna go like personality kind of wise y'know? I think they've definitely mellowed out AT LEAST A LITTLE...like omg guys they can sometimes order for themselves at restaurants!! They're very opinionated and has a strong stance on what they believe but like not in a mean way they just don't understand why others would think differently. Building on their creative abilities, they probably have plans to go to a college for art or fashion. Or maybe they'll start their own business who knows! It's okay to not have everything planned out anymore, some spontaneity is welcome in their life. Now that they've finally been able to be more open, mainly around friends, they'll say something a little too...unsettling or freaky??? to be normal, it's a little weird to get used to oopsies
AND THATS ALL if you read all of this i appreciate you becasue this has been drafted up on my computer screen for multiple days I just did not know what to say siigghhh yeah i love this kid and I hope you guys do too teehee

FINALLY got around to making some horses for Echo's herd! Starting off with just five girlies, each one joined Echo during her journey.
While I have no concrete story yet, and not sure if I ever will (I like to change things a lot), these were some of the concepts I've had in mind for awhile.
Hopefully you're all familiar with Fox and Echo already! While Fox is the man of the herd, Echo is the real leader here. And these are her ladies.
Mink was the first horse to join the herd, a young yearling whose a little too naive for her own good. She needed a more experienced horse to look after her, and Echo was happy to have her company.
Paloma was the next to join, a gorgeous mare but a very lonely one. She had lost her herd and was captured by wranglers. With Echo's help, she escaped and was eager to join her. Her father was a tamed Arabian, and she never got to meet him.
Charlotte sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the herd, being a Belgian Draft that was owned by settlers. She had a hard life, and was lucky to be given the chance to run away thanks to Echo's antics. She is the oldest, but she keeps up with the others pretty well.
Mesa was a horse wrangler's steed, though she really detested her job. She was happy to abandon that life when Echo gave her the chance. A very stereotypical chestnut mare, Mesa gets on Echo's nerves but she doesn't have the experience to challenge her rank.
Shikoba was raised by the Choctaw, but found herself far from home and alone. She was captured by wranglers, but managed to escape when the Lakota appeared to steal the horses the wranglers had. She would meet Ghost before she'd meet Echo.
Since they're all basically background characters, I don't foresee myself fleshing them out much. Any more mares I add will probably just have names and that's it. However, I will have a lot of fun making foals for them. I love designing foals with my very not good knowledge of genetics. I make things up, it's fun!

I wouldn't really agree that boys are just arm candy in magical girl shows and only there to look cute. Yeah, sure the girls' friendships are the focus, but the boys are usually very much involved in the plot and most shows do explore their feelings about the odd things that happen due to magical shenanigans even if they aren't in the know (It's why ML baffles me even more with how they screwed up Adren's arc when he's the deuteragonist, when all these boys are supporting cast and get well rounded arcs)
I'm not much of a winx fan, but the specialists were very much not arm candy. Did the girls talk about them being cute? Yes, it's what teenage girls do. Did the narrative suggest they were good looking? Yes, but that's standard for most love interests in any genre. But we still got scenes with them talking amongst themselves about how they themselves feel and they got a fair share of badass fight scenes even if they wield no magic. A large amount of episodes actually included the boys and girls working as a team solving a mystery or fighting a villain. The girls might deal the finishing blow but the boys were still integral to the plot.
I hope this doesn't come across as hate, it definitely wasn't my intention. I'm just a bit too passionate about the magical girl genre.
I do think you have a good point with ML having a problem choosing a genre or blending two genres successfully.
For the CCS fans, I will add though that Cardcaptor Sakura had both Tomoyo and Syaoran serve as sources of motivation for Sakura. And both Sakura and Syaoran collecting cards even if Sakura is the only one who could seal them and yet never made you question whether Syaoran was even necessary for the job the way ml does with Chat.
I wasn't trying to say that boys have no part to play in magical girl team shows or that they're always treated as having no lives beyond the girls, that's why I mentioned that the Winx Club boys - aka, the Specialists - have their own (mostly off screen) lives and occasionally show up help the girls:
the boys are usually off doing their own thing and only occasionally show up for a date or to give the girls a ride on their cool bikes or magical spaceship
Even then, this is certainly a simplification of the roles that they play in the story, but I kind of had to simplify their roles down to their base components for the original post's discussion as I was talking in broad strokes of how these stories are written.
In terms of those broad strokes, the Specialists are absolutely only there for shipping fodder. That's why each one is assigned to a girl from the start and why their main role in the narrative is supporting their assigned love interest or causing relationship-based drama for their assigned love interest. If it weren't for shipping, then the Specialists would not exist.
While the Specialists do have fleshed out characters and may even effect the plot, the execution of those elements is designed around the girls. A really obvious example of this is the character Timmy, who has character development as the boy's tech guy. Why is he into technology? Because he's the designated love interest for the fairy of Technology and we have to show why they're a good match. Along similar lines, the boys don't really get plots that are removed from the girls because this is the girl's show. Every episode features one or more of the Winx, but the boys are optional and often don't appear.
This is because, narratively speaking, the boys are just love interests and that brings us back to Miraculous' big problem. You can't have a show where Adrien is written like a Specialist while also being part of the Winx Club and where Alya is written like she's part of the Winx Club while technically being more of a Specialist in terms of power set and actual narrative role.
I'm was thinking back to my memories of various Winx Club plots to find one that really highlighted what I mean here and I remembered that one of the big dramas in season one was the reveal that Bloom's love interest - Sky - was in an arranged marriage and had just never told her. As it turns out, that's a great example of what I'm talking about re Adrien!
Is that plot line technically based around Sky and letting his life effect the plot? Sure, but the fallout of that reveal revolves around Bloom, not Sky. The story doesn't really care how Sky's feeling as the conflict progresses. Instead, it focuses on how it affects Bloom and her friends because of course it does! She's the main character. It would be really weird if that plot suddenly focused on her side character love interest and his friends during one of her darkest hours/biggest moments.
Think of that and then consider how the ending of season five is written. Notice any similarities? Sure, this is Adrien's family drama, but because he's just a Specialist, the focus isn't on him. It's on Winx Club member Marinette and Adrien only shows up at the end for a kiss. That is the problem. That is what I'm talking about when I say that Miraculous will randomly write him as if we're watching a magical girl team show where Adrien is just the love interest.
In fact, let's really dig into this example because it's a good one.
You can have a look at the transcript for the finale episode of Miraculous season five here and see for yourself that Adrien doesn't even show up on screen until the final scenes when the big drama is over. The Winx Club wiki also has episode transcripts, so I took a look to see what happened in Winx land during the arranged marriage reveal plot (I love that this is a thing. It's so useful for fact checking myself!) This is the script for the episode after Bloom learns the truth. Sky does not appear even though his lies and family drama are the fuel for this episode's events, which are a major part of the season's arc. Note how perfectly that matches Adrien's writing?
Similarly, Sky's dialogue in the reveal episode is all about Bloom. He's worried about her learning the truth and thinking less of him. To match that, here's Adrien's only real dialogue in the penultimate episode of season five (full transcript):
Adrien:(Covers his ears.) I cannot transform... (Looks at his ring and tries taking it off.) Plagg: What are you doing?! Adrien: I'm not in my right mind. I'm too angry — at myself for falling short of Marinette's love, at my father for sending me here in London, at this stupid app and these rings that use my image... it makes me sick! This nightmare is giving me the horrible feeling that, if I transform, I'll get akumatized and destroy everything with my Cataclysm — Marinette, Ladybug... (Takes off the ring and hands it to Plagg.)
Switching back to Winx. After Bloom learns the truth about Sky, bad things happen because she's depressed. This results in her and the Winx going off on a journey to learn the truth of who Bloom is. After the girls share this big plot moment and Bloom gets her mojo back, the boys show up to be their ride home and to give Bloom her romance moment where Sky wins her back by declaring that he broke off the arranged married because he loves her.
Sky notably doesn't get an arc about choosing between his arranged marriage and his true love. We don't even know that the marriage is broken off until he tells Bloom because that was never really a conflict as far as the narrative was concerned. Of course he's going to pick Bloom! He's her designated side character love interest! He only exists to be with her. We don't need to treat this as a serious thing for him. The arranged marriage plot was never about him anyway. It was about giving Bloom a reason to have a darkest hour moment that moves the plot forward. Similarly, Sky calling off the marriage is nowhere near as important as him telling Bloom that he's called off the marriage to be with her in a grand romantic gesture.
This perfectly mirrors Miraculous' season five ending where Adrien doesn't appear until after Marinette is done fighting her big girl power fight against his father. As far as the writing is concerned, that fight isn't about him. His connection to the villain only really matters in terms of how it affects Marinette's actions during the final battle. Then, when the battle is over, Adrien shows up to give Marinette her big romance moment because, while the plot may be driven by Adrien's family, he is not a Winx club member. He's just a Specialist. Or, in the words of the head writer:
[image text: She's Barbie, he's Ken. You don't like it. I get it. It won't change. Anything else?] (The full, even more damning context of this tweet can be found here.)
What else can I say other than, "I rest my case."
Oh, and also that I didn't take this as an attack. I just thought it was a good opportunity to really dig into the nuances of this and what I was talking about in that original post as I never know how obvious this stuff is if you don't closely study story telling. As this case study hopefully shows, if a show is about a group of girl friends using the power of friendship, then their love interests may have important roles, but the boys are never going to be more important than the girls and most of the boy's screen time will be focused on romance and how their existence effects the girls because it's ultimately the girls' world. Without them, the show wouldn't exist. Without the boys? Well, then we just wouldn't have a romance plot.
#ml writing critical#ml writing salt#adrien deserves better#ml season 5 salt#btw I had no idea how well this example would work until I pulled up the Winx club scripts and started laughing#Like damn! I could not have picked a better one if I'd been actively looking to highlight what I was talking about!#I just picked the first one that came to mind#Thank you Winx for being textbook perfect in how Magical Girl Team Shows tend to handle these plots#Seriously go read through those transcripts! It's such a perfect example of what I'm talking about!#Look how everything about Sky is focused on Bloom even though he's the one breaking off an engagement and damaging his family relationships#Not saying this is poorly written btw I'm just pointing out the difference between writing a main character and a love interest#If Sky was a main character then we'd have gotten a lot more focus on him trying to pick a path for his future#But he's a love interest so his future is already written in stone and what's written there is a single word: Bloom#look! I can use his Twitter feed to make points too!#But I would never JUST use his Twitter feed#I only use it when there's backing in the actual text which there very much is here#Anyone want me to talk about what these plot lines would look like in a show where romance was top dog or is that obvious?

Slight focus shift from the hashira group and inserting other two characters that ended up being involved the story arc for the fantasy au c: Once they were fleshed out and finally introduced in the story, had to do a reference for them so here are the two bois c: They are based off of the two gods, Raijin and Fujin so took their original designs and mixed it into the god's designs to get something in the middle.
SHINOBU | TENGEN | OBANAI | KYOJURO | MITSURI | GIYUU | SANEMI | GYOMEI | MUICHIRO More info under the cut~
Sekido and Karaku are two brothers, the original idea that Zoh/Urogi/Aizetsu weren't going to be involved but that has changed so their initial designs hold aspects of their other sides (Sekido having Aizetsu and Zohakuten features, Karaku having Urogi's beads, etc) Sekido is the larger/older brother, god of lightning (Raijin). He's pretty tall at 10'3" and like his canon self is stern/arrogant/selfish and doesn't have company often. He resides in the northern region in a temple in the mountains where Gyomei is his temple guardian while he is away. Karaku is the god of winds (Fujin), and resides in the Southern region in his own temple. If not found there, he's often around Aizetsu and Urogi who act has his messengers (he's the nicer one of the two (Urogi and Aizetsu are tengu messengers)) so he's often roaming.
Ruka (Kyojuro's mother) was a sickly human and was saved when Shinjuro sacrificed one of his own tails to make her into a kitsune which later they ended up having Kyojuro and Senjuro. The later ended up being deathly ill, due to some unknown curse and Ruka came across Sekido by chance and pleaded with him to save Senjuro. In order to do so, she had to offer one of her own tails in trade which he agreed to break the curse and cure the boy considering that he was willing to listen to her. Now, he wears the tail around his belt as a reminder (also considering that kitsunes are very prideful of their tails).
With Obanai's curse the group goes north and meets up with Ruka who knows about Sekido and she leads the group to the god's temple to see if he's willing to help (also considering that Urogi is envious of Sekido's kitsune tail and steals something from Mitsuri so they're trying to track the tengu down as well to get the item back).
He refuses initially, but after both Shinjuro and Kyojuro offer their own tails he eventually agrees to assist and look into the reasoning as to why his soul is fractured.
I'll probably get around to doodling Urogi and Aizetsu, and maybe Ruka/Shinjuro. Zohakuten hasn't made an appearance yet, but we are leaning towards him being a higher entity/god like Orochi (dragons duh) but that could change c:
Also yes Mui and Gyomei are getting their own sheets eventually too - Gyomei was ??? for the longest time until it clicked and Mui just needs some refining/revisitng of the original idea!

Also of course, it ain't me if I don't crossover my current hyperfixation with my ultimate current hyperfixation. So... Degrees of Lewdity x ProjectMoon! (This post is full of me yapping as I explain each drawing, so I guess, be ready?)
First, I'll go hard with Whitney as R Corp. 4th Rabbit Team. The initial idea was that he reminds me so much of RHeath LMAO But eventually I love the idea because I think he'd go along with Myo well. Plus... Somehow imagining Whitney in Rabbit Team Hatchery shenanigans seems... Interesting.
Next is Eden. If anyone notice, I originally designed him based of 2 Abnos: Der Freischutz and Big Bird. Der Frei was, of course, a nod to his title as a Hunter, and a marksman as well. For Big Bird... Yeah definitely there's the Big Bird in DoL, yet I think temperance-wise, Eden does felt similar to Big Bird. A creature living in a forest, thinking they protect others by doing the action that definitely doesn't seems to be out of protection. As for RRH, oh think about this: Being hunted down while getting marked. One by a hunter, and another by a wolf. Oh isn't it just reminds me of something...? Right
Funny enough, before I designed the school LIs properly, I reimagined them as The City's feathers. "If they're living in the City and has to work with one Wing, which one they'll work on?" I've talked about R. Corp Whitney earlier so I'll talk about the others! Robin, L Corp. - I can imagine him with the pressing needs to survive under the weight of Bailey's rent ends up either being sent or signed himself up as an agent for L Corp. The Wing doesn't ask that much requirement as per Hokmah's story while the agent supposed to have a great pay (being a wing and all). Hence, I think he might work for L Corp. Sydney, K Corp. - The idea was that after graduating, Sydney might follow Sirris path in science. Being the obedient child she is (as we sees on the game before they get corrupted), she probably choose to do what Sirris might do hence her as K Corp. researcher. Oh anyway, truly this is just a fyi that doesn't seems to be related to anything, I reimagined Harper as Dongrang in this scenario, with the whole Teary-Thing problem exist. Oh, lucky enough for Sydney to help producing K Ampule that definitely just as seen in the canon Limbus story. Just saying. Kylar, W Corp. - This one actually a rather fun idea. This is set with the idea that Kylar work as the Clean Up Member, with parents that's definitely unaware with how their child work but nevertheless proud with him. They'd even use WARP Train solely to be sent off by Kylar each time, much to Kylar silent dismay. If only they know what Kylar has to clean up among the 6 seconds they went into the train... Read one of the reblog tag and yeah. It has to do with Love Town. And pretty much how Kylar had to regularly assemble his parents again and again each trip they made.
LCB! SYDNEY LET'S GOOOO!!!! This idea came as I made my LCB-esque ID Card for Sydney. The idea of LCB Sydney's background was that it's pretty much what happened in the game, but make it The City-esque and seen from Sydney's eyes. It's fun imagining her as a Dieci Fixer who was caught in a complicated issue which she rather dip out from as she hasn't fully grow the backbone to face it yet. Oh right, in this AU I reimagined Ivory as Abnormality and both Sydney and Kylar got their EGO. Sydney got their Longing Phase EGO (HE, Gloom) while Kylar got the Haunting Phase EGO (WAW, Wrath). I actually had a draft of how the EGO works and its gimmick but let's talk it later on lol
When Yield My Flesh event is up on Limbus, my head doing the funny by thinking, "Damn... Jun Wren sounds cool..." then I remember Tingtang exist like jfgdjfgbjd HE FITS BETTER AS TINGTANG WHY DIDN'T I THINK ABOUT IT ON A SIDE NOTE, I also had the thought on how Bailey MIGHT kills it as either a Kurokumo or a Middle. After all, Middle never forget... Just like how Bailey never forget your rent LOL
And last but not least: Sydney and Robin as L Corp. Agent! Robin will be a high Temperance agent which work for Safety Team, while Sydney is the high Fortitude, high Prudence Disciplinary Team Captain. Oh, if you do notice: I made Sydney's cross looks like Penitence EGO Weapon. It's actually based of this idea of how One Sin and WhiteNight's dynamic thematically fits Sydney the Faithful and Sydney the Fallen. The name of both Abnos' EGO Set-- "Penitence" and "Paradise Lost" respectively, both fits the image of each Sydneys. Hence, I draw them in both EGO Sets!
#Degrees of Lewdity#DoL#DoL Fanart#Whitney the Bully#Robin the Orphan#Sydney the Faithful#Sydney the Fallen#Eden the Hunter#Kylar the Loner#Should I also tags PJM related stuff here??? I unno honestly#But yea the easiest way to make me yap is by THINKING about anything PJM#SDBHJDFBJDHFJDFG I JUST LOVE CONCEPT OF THE CITY SO MUCH OKAY#IT'S LIKE... You can make anything inside it YET it also has its own whole sets of worldbuilding that makes you just think#'damn think about all the possibility can happen if these people became part of the City. Like just think!!!!'#This has become a chronic illness fr fr fr#Wren the Smuggler#I FORGET TO TAG WREN IM SORRYYYYY

I finally watched Transformers Earthspark Season 2 today. I have a lot of thoughts and I wrote some paragraphs for every episode. As you can see I wrote a LOT, enjoy my way too long cartoon analysis:
Episode 1: the cracks are showing but it hasn't crumbled yet
The animation feels less alive than in season 1 even if strong storyboarding still carries some scenes, as I know several of the season 1 storyboarders did work on this episode. It has a couple good sequences, a couple incredibly stilted ones. The overreliance on slowmo feels weird, and the animation struggles to properly convey things, like how we're supposed to take Hashtag's injury very seriously, but it just looked like she got bumped lightly.
the Decepticons are butchered and watered down into "evil because they're Decepticons". Chaos Terrans is an interesting concept and the way they're executing Aftermath would provide a foundation for exploring topics such as delinquent youth, but knowing how the series will go on to treat them in later episodes, I'm not hopeful.
the Maltos feel like they're sleepwalking. They have a lot of screentime but for some reason they don't feel present at all, it's like I'm watching their shadows move around on screen without the things that made them feel alive shining through.
If I didn't know beforehand what this season would eventually stagnate into, I could see myself being fooled into thinking the gripes I have with this episode are just growing pains, however i'm not so hopeful.
Episode 2: Improved in some ways but not in others. The episode premise is decent, and the narrower focus compared to episode 1 does help make the focus characters feel a bit more like themselves again. Unfortunately i just don't think the premise was utilized well at all. Introducing quintessons to the conflict is kind of a big development, but it doesn't flesh them out well IMO. They treat them like wild animals with no characterization for a majority of it, and then hint at some deeper conflicts at the very 3nd before promptly disposingof them. So ultimately it feels unsatisfying (although we do get some expositon in episode 9, but it doesn't add up to much).
And once again i must comment on the character acting on the humans especially being severely lacking.
Robbie and Mo having helmets for like half their screentime definitely feels like a cut corner not to animate their faces
Episode 3 review: some well animated sequences this time around, i'd seen the storyboards for them on twitter and they're really well done, but then there's some others that really werent as decent, so big ups and down in animation quality. Most of the episode did feel like a slight return to formula for Earthspark tho, with how it felt like it was actually making a point about something for once, which so far has been rare in season 2, although the conclusion wasn't the most satisfying with the whole "you can't have everything" message but then hashtag kinda gets most of what she wanted anyway.
Episode 4 is like.... baffling.
Like the fact that they swapped to a wholly different and much cheaper animation studio was so far just somewhat shining through, but now it's impossible to unsee. The animation here feels BEYOND stilted, in every way. Like not even the 2D FX animation looked convincing this time. That clip of Robbie dropping a cake is the weirdest animated thing i've ever seen. It's like it gets sucked out of his hands by a magnet.
The Faire Maestro is a type of character I feel like would have been handled really well in Transformers Animated but was just kinda nothing here, super ugly design too and very odd voice direction. Lots of just bizarre and mindboggling things in this episode, like them seeing faire maestro having an emberstone shard, and then deciding to steal it right in front of his face for absolutely no reason even though they think he's a normal guy and not a villain. And tiny inconsistencies like Mo knowing his name even though he never said it. Bizarre episode all around, Weird Al cameo is cute but then he's gone.
Episode 5 review: Finally Jawbreaker gets to be in it. Except now he feels like a baby. Just a big stomping juvenile baby.
And speaking of big stomping babies, Aftermath is one too. He feels like he's supposed to be a representation of troubled/delinquent youth who don't get along with their peers and who don't have positive role models or a support network, but he really comes off as being just... chaotic, no real sense of interiority to him other than "I'm mean and I enjoy being mean and I can't help it". He's entertaining on a surface level vibes basis, but it doesn't feel like any attempts are being made at making a point. He's barely been in the show so pretty much anything that could make his character interesting is completely missing. Like there's no development of how the decepticons are raising him other than the basic assumption of "bad role models", and the decepticons barely get to be characters this season either. Aftermath feels like an Afterthought, as Chaos Terrans have basically been less than a footnote, and the series has attempted to do no form of storytelling with them beyond surface level observations that honestly feel insulting to the other characters like how the decepticons are just evil now, and the autobots/terrans have lost all nuanced expressions of empathy and solidarity in favor of just "they're generally friendly"
oh and also the evil mushrooms are boring.
Episode 6 review: Man this episode just *feels* wrong, like viscerally.
The show's handling of the chaos terrans just keeps getting worse. There's absolutely NOTHING about spitfire that compels any form of empathy. Like there's not even a mote of her being a troubled and misguided youth, she's just straight up ontologically cruel, like nothing about the conflict in this episode regards a failure to understand, communicate, or empathise with each other, it's just a straight up rejection of those things on both sides. For this chaos terran delinquent analogy thing to work you NEED there to be a sense of humanity or waywardness to them. You NEED to be able to conceive of them as being capable of more than just anger. This just feels meanspirited, especially the way the Maltos have no desire for Spitfire to be better. They just wholeheartedly accept that she's ontologically evil, and honestly, the way she's presented in this episode you'd think they were right, but they're not SUPPOSED to be right.
It sucks too cuz chaos terrans are a great idea
season 1's terrans were all representations of good natured minority kids, particularly third culture kids, who despite their best intentions and kindness end up having to fight for acceptance.
The chaos terrans are a natural progression of that, with depicting kids who end up on the fringe of society because they're inherently different from others and have a harder time being understood, and who don't have a support network to set them straight.
So it starts out in a place where they'd easily be able to build on it, but it's squandered imo. And for several reasons:
1. the Decepticons are 1 dimensional bad guys this season so they fail to capitalize on any potential storytelling they could have done with how their generational resentment might be passed down to the younger generation. They also fail to build any sort of relationship between the Chaos Terrans and the decepticons, so any obligation to stay or debt of gratitude that they might feel is just not there. You get no sense of why they'd want to be decepticons other than wanting to be enabled and encouraged for cruel behavior. They could have given breakdown an actual father son dynamic with aftermath but instead undercut it and play it for laughs.
2. Because the malto's solidarity have been completely watered down into just being "good guys", and never really get to articulate any sort of deeper point in their attempt to appeal to the chaos terrans, so you don't get a sense of how they might help them if they were allowed.
and 3. because the chaos terrans themselves don't really feel like they have much of an inner struggle, interiority, or conflict, it doesn't really feel like there's much of a foothold for
Anyone to latch onto to get through to them. Which makes them feel unredeemable.
so to reiterate and summarize these 3 points; 1. there's no sense of how the chaos terrans are being given negative reinforcement, 2. there's no sense of how the Maltos might help undo this, and 3. there's no sense of how the chaos terrans might want to be helped or not helped.
I understand that like part of the point is that they don't understand the chaos terrans, which supposedly makes them feel more alienated and further pushed towards anger, but there's no nuance or attempt at solidarity to the way these misunderstandings occur. Like there's no hint of Twitch and the Maltos trying their best to reach out to spitfire in meaningful ways. There's no sense of there being some fundamental difference in perspective or circumstance that make them able to understand eachother's point of view, it's just straight up "i tried to be nice but you were mean so now i won't be nice anymore" and it never goes beyond that. It's insulting how easily the Maltos give up on them.
Episode 7: serving as a direct followup to the last, it continues a lot of the same flaws. It squanders any chance of giving Spitfire some depth, like they could have spun her obsessive competitiveness into a deep-seated need for approval or validation or something, but no, she's as one dimensional as her behavior would suggest. Her behavior just becomes more and more destructive to a cartoonish degree where it no longer becomes possible to feel empathy for her.
the whole freaky friday misunderstanding thing too also feels super forced, which isn't helped by the animation failing to convey a lot of ideas.
Comparing this season to season 1 so far, man it just really sucks at juggling the characters. We've had practically 0 focus or development for any of the autobots and decepticons, and the maltos for that matter, despite their overwhelming screentime.
This is likely a casting budget thing. Which is why bumblebee has been demoted from main cast member to a guy who maybe says 2 lines every 3 episodes.
The quality of season 1's writing would go up and down quite drastically between episodes, but so far season 2 has consistently been on par with some of season 1's worse entries. It's juvenile and it has next to nothing to say about anything. Barely even any basic surface level messages, just mostly meaningless antics with next to no focus on exploring characters.
Episode 8 review: it's fine. No notes. It's a competent comedy episode. Fun premise with the whole "thing getting continuously stolen by different people" trope. Basing an episode around optimus's trailer is funny. Animation isn't stellar. Overall it's just an ok episode. I have nothing to say about it other than it's well executed even if it's not very ambitious.
Episode 9/10: okay! End of the season. The finale's mixed for me. In a different universe, this would have been an OK finale for the most part, but the fact that the season has tarnished every single character and plotline from season 1 and made no successful attempt at building anything new of value makes it lack any impact it could have had.
Interesting angle to flip the quintesson creator race narrative that transformers fans are used to. Although they too were an afterthought for this season. Aftermath and Spitfire getting killed really was the rotten cherry on top of their miserable cake. First they're treated like dirt by the story and handled as poorly as they could possibly be, squandering the excellent potential they had, but then they just kill them. Just so starscream's heelturn is even more evil. It honestly feels sad to me that they even bothered to acknowledge the fact that starscream was redeemble in season 1. Just makes it feel even more annoying that they conciously gave up trying to make him nuanced. Some of the animation was good. The shots of terratronus rising were very well composited and communicated the scale extremely well. As for the actual climax, it felt pretty lacking.
Overall a dissapointing season. A shadow of what earthspark was. Most of the characters are completely sidelined (likely for lack of a casting budget), and the few who aren't don't get a single story that feels reminiscent of that immensely strong sense of confident identity that season 1 had.
Hasbro cannot help themselves can they

Happy Halloween from Team Beginnings!
Let's get to business!
There hasn't been much progress this month but we hope to get more done in November!
[Writing]
(At the time of writing this dev log)
We've decided to go back and rewrite the script for UTBB's demo, not only that but the overall story has gone under some major rewrites including a new direction for the game and its meta narrative. You see, we’ve decided to take a more fantasy RPG like approach with Magic now being one of the core aspects of UTBB. We’re also introducing a lot more new magic based mechanics & interactions (We even switched up the UI a bit but that’s for a letter date haha).
For our metta narrative . . . Let’s just say, Reed has played Omori, In Stars & Time, Oneshot, & Slay The Princess. And remember one thing, Valor will not be a silent protagonist. You have been warned.
We've also decided to do something different with the way we execute our Cyan soul sub plot. Before cyan was going to be a full fleshed out character however there was some difficulty making it fit into the story even with the rewrites. So, we've decided to make it so we will focus on the consequence of their death/capture instead their possible actions meaning that the cyan soul will be up for interpretation (Not in the way UTY)!.
In summary: Any cyan take (That follows Omega Flowey order) can alien with UTBB's timeline now without any confections! (There’s no UTY Axis situation here lol).
And we would like to give a special shout out to the amazing @/Radiaction & Knightyume for being awesome Writing Consultants!
Also, a little bunny told me that UTBB & UTR might be doing something special together real soon so be in the look out for that 👀
Minor Change -
We've updated something about Valor. . . They're now are Genderfluid and use He/Him/She/Her/They/Them pronouns! But most characters in game will use They/Them pronouns.
[Sprite Art]
Not much, sadly, for the first half of the month our main tileset artist haven't been able to make anything due to personal IRL issues. Everything seems to be cleared up now and with the new addition of some amazing spriters joining the project (That being @/_pancakez & Tweetertweers, we're back on track and making progress.
[Characters]
Sadly, we can't show much in this department yet, but the crew has been working on designs for the main, support, & random encounters cast of characters!
We've also taken the time to redesign a character already revealed. that being - ???? (Oop, looks like he still doesn't want his name to be revealed, maybe you see it soon?)
We want to at least get battle sprites made before showing off any random encounters, sorry for the wait!
[OST Situation]
For those who don't know, we used to have a few OSTs posted on out YouTube channel, however we got into some complications with the now former team member who drew the artwork that was featured in said videos. We are happy to say that new artwork for the videos are being made as we speak!
Once it's done, we will be working towards putting the OST videos back up + the addition of a few new OSTs.
[Twitter Situation]
Due to Twitter's new policies we decided that we will no longer be posting any artwork on the platform. We have also made the decision to switch over to BlueSky since it seems to be the more healthier alternative to Twitter. We will still have the account up and running and post links to out dev post, however if things get worse then we might just ARCHIVE UTBB's twitter account, cut ties with the platform, and no longer post on it.
[Team Members]
Please welcome the following people who have recently joined Team Beginnings!

[Support The Team!]
[Hollow]
The Halloween special artwork was made by one of the teams amazing artist- @hollowgears! Whose commissions have opened up.
It would mean a lot if you could go and support her.
Hollows Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/hollowgears/commissions
However, she only has 2 commission slots open at the moment, so first come first serve!
[St4ngray/Ray]
One of the teams new artist @st4ngray has opened up their special keychain commissions!

It would be awesome if you could check them all out and lent them your support!
That's it for now, see you all next time!

Dark Paradise (Part One)
Pairing: Azriel x Fem! Reader
Summary: Never in the existence of Prythian had there been a rightful heir to two courts, much less a female, but there you are, in the flesh. With war upon the lands, and questionable family dynamics, a certain shadowsinger takes it upon himself to make your life just a little bit more interesting.
Word Count: 1058
Warnings: some angst, sexual themes
a/n: i have NEVER written anything on here about acotar, or just fanfics in general. this is just some slight backstory, i promise we get into the MEAT of it all soon!
The blazing sun was beating down on your face, causing your hair to shimmer with faint red hues as you approached the throne room. The sound of your long white skirt swishing, accompanied by the clicking of your heels against the white marble floors, were the only noise throughout the palace, not even birds sang their melodies.
As you walked through the large doors to the throne room, the sun increased by tenfold, beaming in through various circular skylights. To fae not from the Day Court, the sun would've been blistering and heat-stroke inducing, and in your years spent here, you've witnessed a fair share. Yet to you it was pleasant, you loved it, a sweet reminder of home. A slight smile stretched across your lips as you took in the intricate designs that decorated the pillars in the throne room.
The effort and care that went into sculpting this beautiful room never ceased to amaze, but your favourite piece of artwork was certainly the thrones themselves. Halting your footsteps before the stairs that led up to the three thrones, each one made of glistening white marble, all enveloped in golden light. You admired the middle throne, belonging to Helion, your father. It's the largest of the three, built for a High Lord, and it'll be yours, when the times comes, but you wish it doesn't anytime soon. You're tired of loosing family.
A wave of sorrow crashes over you as your gaze drifts to the smaller throne of the left, empty, a solemn reminder of your dead brother. It's covered in a large gold and white cloth, several little trinkets on the throne serves as a memory of him. You wrung your hands, as you focused on keeping your emotions at bay.
A sigh escaped from you, disappointment at the lack of your fathers presence, you thought he would've been here, welcoming you home from your travels. Dropping your hands in annoyance, you turned on your heel ready to leave when you heard echoing footsteps.
"What kind of daughter leaves her father, all alone, while she travels to Vallahan." Helion's voice had a teasing tone as he gracefully walked towards you.
"What kind of father forgets about his daughter?" You playfully retort back, raising an eyebrow as you try to keep a smile from forming on your lips. Helion stops just an arms reach from you, as he dramatically places a hand on his chest as if physically wounded.
"I would never forget about you, my sweet daughter." He spoke in a soft tone. The smile that threatened to spread on your face finally forms as you laughed, throwing your arms around your father in a tight hug. Helion held onto you like his life depended on it. You relished in the feeling of finally seeing your father after your long time spent abroad. After a minute he released you, instead throwing an arm around your shoulder, ushering you out of the throne room.
"How were your diplomatic measures in Vallahan, I presume they went smoothly?" He asked as we walked together through the palace hallways. It went more than just simply smooth, your time was spent drinking at bars, dancing until you could no longer, and sex with males of all kinds. Of course you successfully made alliances and discussed peace with fae in power, but a simple nod satisfied your father.
The rest of the evening was spent catching up with the people of your court over a the banquet created in celebration of your return. You spent your night drinking lavish wine, and dancing until your feet hurt, males watched you with pure lust and greed in their eyes, but you paid no attention to them.
As the night turned into early day, everybody stumbled back to their respective homes, and you to your room. Giggles slipped past your lips as you staggered down the halls to your room. Cauldron your feet fucking hurt.
"Stupid shoes," you slurred while fighting with the straps on your heels, fingers struggling to unclasp them. Finally you stepped out of them, letting your bare feet hit the floor. Nearly moaning at the feeling. Shoes in one hand you continued the trek to your room. Nearly face planting into the door, you stumbled towards your bed, and flopped down, shoes thrown onto the carpet.
You fell asleep as soon as you landed on your bed, not even caring to get under the soft covers, or take of your makeup and dress. As you slept your dreams were plagued by a man, he was shroud in shadows, his very aura exuded mystery.
His body looked like it was sculpted by the Mother herself, the lines of his muscles still visible through the battle leathers that he wore, and those wings. Dauntingly huge, you've never seen a pair of Illyrian wings that large before.
As your eyes drifted upwards towards his face you froze, he was devastatingly beautiful, the kind of beauty that would have any female begging for his attention. Your hand involuntarily reached out towards him, unable to take yourself out of the spell he seemingly put you under. He was some sort of an otherworldly dark paradise.
Your fingers just grazing his shoulder before you abruptly awoke. Shooting up from the bed you gasped, reeling from your dream that felt all too real.
Who was that man? Why was I dreaming of him? Thoughts ran through your mind at the speed of light, as you glanced around your room, a small shadow in the corner near your vanity caught your eye. As you watched the shadows flicker and slink about, it seemed as though somebody, through the shadows, watched back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azriel splashes his face with cold water, trying to calm his erratic heartbeat down. Running his hands through his hair he leaned against the bathroom counter, staring at himself through the mirror. He doesn't really.....dream, his sleep is always restless, filled with memories from his childhood. So imagine his surprise when a women, with slightly copper hair appears in his dreams, and reaches out for him.
His brains feels like mush, shaking his head, he tries to free the questions that desperately cling to his mind, as he heads into his closet, dressing into his leathers for the day.
Rhysand and him have a meeting with Helion today.

I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR PT3 Of “catching feelings for you” with Frank 😭😭😭 I loved it so much
oh what the hell. you got it bb <3 side note, is this still a reaction?.. who knows honestly, i enjoyed writing it.
Masterlist
DbD Killers' Reaction to: Catching Feelings for You, pt. 3
|| Characters: just Frank Morrison (as requested)
words: 1k (could've been way more tho)
[pt. 1] | [pt. 2] | [pt. 3] (here)
Frank half-masterminded a way to go about his problem, particularly about this so-called crush. He didn't know whether to feel mad at fuckface Ghost for putting it on his mind or at himself for thinking of you in the first place.
He had a plan of sorts. Well, it was in the works, kinda.
Okay, not a plan, no, though others would sure as hell label it as one, which is why he had kept it to himself. This was no doubt annoying.
Of course, that and.. the near constant awareness of having so much as an operation specifically designed for you awakened another level of disgust inside him.
Frank would get over it.
He just needed some blood to wash it off of his mind.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't happen.
Frank had tried. Was it his best?
Nah. No comment.
"So..," came a greeting and continued, "This is a first," all before he could even reply with 'Fucking tell me about it'.
The young woman in front of Frank had her arms crossed, she had a hidden mix of actual surprise in her sarcastic tone, "Guessing you didn't do so hot."
Frank exhaled, disappointment in himself apparent, "Jules." It meant don't start.
"Oh, hey," said another lively voice. Frank groaned inside for once. How great, here comes yet another unnecessary sack of flesh to make a comment on his misery. A most sincere welcome-back congregation this had turned out to be. This is way more fucking new, he thought to himself. "Hey." "You're.. uh, very clean." Suzy hesitated before voicing what she saw. Well. Clean.. as I ever will be, Frank peered down at his jacket.
The lack of survivor blood, or muck, or just... whatever dirt Entity World had on it was equally disturbing, as you in his mind.
"Focusing on a bitch when you can be killing bitches is unlike you," said a deeper voice. Voila. Now they had done it. He was annoyed times two. "Cut off my back."
Frank saw his crew look at each other with a concoction of amusement and confusion before focusing on him once more. Then followed the reactions.
"What?"
"You okay there, buddy?"
"I mean, if you insist."
The twice-as-annoyed and now even can be considered disgruntled man facepalmed, hard. He palmed some of his exposed hair in streas. It seems 'crush on the mind' was already costing him brain cells, so what's a few more?
"Urgh, I clearly meant to say, get off my back or cut me some slack. I don't know. Fuck me. Leave me alone." This must have been the definition of sheepish. On top of it all he had just contradicted his own words by taking a step inside the shack.
I'll leave first, whatever, he had intended, at least, but an unwelcome, however unsurprising, voice made him stop, accompanied by a not-so-genuine-sounding slow clap. It came from above. I'll. Just. Walk. Away.
Nope.
"Wow, wow, wow..." Oh, what fucking now? Frank held back the desire to shout.
"Our own little Frankie.. dazed by his newfound love. I can't believe it."
Love? You're fucking crazy.
And so am I. It's just a survivor that doesn't even fucking know you, and the fact that the words that came out of this motherfucker's mouth didn't feel all that unnatural is absolutely fucking insane, I will-
Frank ceased his derailing.
He put on a not-so-bothered-at-least-in-front-of-the-enemy act and gazed at the tree.
"Fuck are you doing here?" he barked to a pair of dark and muddy boots, who then decided it was a perfect time to jump down and make his presence known, like he hadn't done so already.
"Oh, me?" Ghostface pointed his thumb towards his masked face in an exaggerated manner, "Well, I just came by to say that that was truly embarrassing, even for you."
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"Ah, but you already know." Danny tilted his head while checking out his nails nonchalantly, "It's just kinda interesting that you're making us know too. My sincerest thanks."
"You're not a part of this."
Danny looked up at the four. "Oh no? I don't see a lot of backlash." Needless to say, his confidence got on head Legion's nerves. "Take a vote."
Silence.
Frank didn't need to look to his left, right or back to know they were enjoying his antics, so he didn't bother. This was remarkably tipping his anger to the limit and his members watching this interaction go down wasn't helping. "How about.. you take a hint instead?" Fuck. That was all he could muster. Ghostface more like FrustratingFace, fuck thank God I didn't say that.
"Hint? Hint that you get your rocks off to the newbie? Oh, Frankie-"
"Call me that again-"
"Even the Entity must fucking know." Danny's tone took a sharp turn to ice-cold. It made something known to Frank's mind. Oh. So that's why...
"Yeah." Danny put on strong emphasis. Frank's silence had given the dawning of realization away, "That's what's up, dummy. The entity sees everything. There's no way it'll put you on a trial with the newbie if you keep letting livestock get away from you, will it, Mr. Wolf? I mean, just use your head a bit." Frank tuned him out as he went on about how the Entity couldn't go hungry like a little baby. He wasn't that dumb. Sure, he was dumber now that you preoccupied most of his empty-mind, but Danny had already made his point.
Kill you.
He had to kill you the next time he saw you. And he hoped to whatever God that was out there that he wasn't too attracted to you to stick his knife right in your heart.
Nah, he wasn't. But maybe he could take care of both of his problems? Two birds with one stone. Meh. One knife, one love. He'd figure it out.
pt. 4? 👀

I’m coming from a place of debate because your view on uta is really intelligent and thought out, so I’d like to discuss a little from the other side and see your thoughts if you feel like it
Uta herself felt so self insert oc, very Mary sue, like especially at first glance. Oh I’m part of the red hair pirates and shanks daughter and the best diva in the world! Luffys childhood friend and I’m super powerful soo super powerful I could destroy the world!
I mean yes she is fleshed out a bit more and fun to watch. Don’t get me wrong I like the movie and her design is cute and fun. But it still feels like every middle school one peice fans 500 page fanfiction come to life
Also just where she was put in the universe as a red haired pirate is kinda irksome, small details being all the red hair pirates are usally men, non devil fruit users and big detail being shanks was adamant to having no kids on his ship. . But it’s totally cool to have all those things if it’s her.
I also kinda feel Uta existence kinda cheapens shanks relationship with luffy. And that sours my view of her a lot think, and quite a few other people’s.
I get your point -- her integration into canon is a bit hamfisted -- but honestly, you could argue the same for Sabo, and he plays a far larger role in canon than her, so. Idk. I can shrug off the whole "retroactively important character" thing pretty easily. And sure, she has the potential to be extremely powerful, but I think the limitations placed on her ability effectively prevent her from seeming too OP. Exhaustion is her main weakness, and she's shown to not really have a lot of stamina. Uta World isn't even sustainable in general, either; no human can overextend their body and mind in such a way to maintain it for forever. (Unless you're Blackbeard, I guess, and you don't sleep, but... I digress.)
Also, RHP members not having devil fruits doesn't make it a rule for being part of the crew. It's a cool idea -- especially now that we know devil fruit users are at a natural disadvantage against the rising tides -- but it's never been established as intentional. Same with the RHP all being men. These are commonalities, but I don't think that makes them rules which Uta "breaks." And yeah, it does seem strange in hindsight that Shanks would say Luffy is too young and yet choose to take in Uta, but Shanks was in a tight spot regardless. Where would Uta have gone, if he chose not to take her in? Factor that in with her circumstances being so similar to his, and I think it makes sense why he would keep her on his ship. She is an exception for logical reasons.
I'm curious as to how Uta "cheapens" Shanks' relationship with Luffy, too; Shanks clearly inspired many different kids on many different islands. Luffy may be the protagonist, and Shanks certainly does care for him, but he also cares for the new era as a whole, which includes the newest generation. Him encouraging Uta to become a singer for the betterment of the world and the pursuit of her dream is very in line with his character. If anything, it heightens our understanding of his goals.
